Raven tensed abit but before Raven could say anything Nightwing spoke up
"Stand down Titans" he stood up and put away the baterang "He's working Ops"
Question gave Nightwing a once over, he knew there was more. But he wouldn't get it right now
"Well we aren't quite a fighting force as of yet. Any word if we are getting reinforcements?" He asked Walking back and forth looking over the edge of the churches roof.
Nightwing Glanced over at The Question"Some rumblings, Transporters are being blocked some how"
"The League of Assassins must of gotten some Cadmus Tech, that or are calling in a big favor with some one with alot of high power Tech Connections" Question Said Interrupting Nightwing
Nightwing could feel Raven Rolling her eyes from beneath her hood
"Probably, Last I heard Green Arrow and Black Canary are using the Arrow Jet to get here as fast as possible, but it is an Older Model since Arrow hasn't used it in years"
Huntress fake pouted "Oh Poo, we could have had another double Date"
Raven knew she wasn't going to like these two.
All of a sudden the smell of Cigarettes permeated the air
"Ello, ello, ello wuts all 'his then?"
Every one Glanced over to the roof top door access, it was none other than John Constantine
"Boyfriend Nightwing, Who is this Man? He looks like that Rock Star Friend Crow Likes"
Constantine Laughed "Not the first time I've heard that one love, but no I'm not Sting, my name is..."
"John fucking Constantine" Raven said walking closer to the Trench Coat wearing Magic user.
"Aye, that's me Master of all thing Occult" he said with a roguish smile
"Why are you here" Raven Asked with gritted teeth. "You Remember what I said would happen if I saw you again right?"
Starfire turned to Nightwing "It appears that Friend Raven knows this Constantine person"
Nightwing glanced over at Raven, He could feel the anger permeating off of her through their mental link
"Oh I think she more than knows him."
"That was years ago, I mean everything turned out okay with the whole Trigon thing didn't it?" He said holding his hands up trying his best to defuse the situation
Raven Scowled "That still doesn't answer my question"
John took a long dag of his Cigarette and exhaled "The Bat called me here to help him with something a little while ago, Just got a call from one of his Bat boys telling me to come here to help out"
Huntress looked at Constantine Critically "How much help are you going to be agents the League of Assassins?"
John gave a sassy smile as he looked over at Huntress "I know a lot about them, They hate me more than miss Damon Daddy Issues does"
"Some how I doubt it" Raven Said under he breath
John Smiled "You'd be surprised They have almost killed me more times than I care to admit" John Whispered as he walked past her to get closer to the group.
"Where is the new Boy Wonder? Thought he would be fighting with us tonight"
"He's not in the City, Family Trip, he wont be back for a few days" Nightwing said Calmly
Huntress rolled her eyes "Some people have all the luck"
Raven Bristled at that "What is that suppose to mean?"
Huntress didn't even glance up at Raven "Well, there is barely 6 of us here and we could use all the help we can get, and One of the Batboys is "Working Ops" and the other is conventionally out of town"
Raven felt anger bubble inside of her she clenched her fists ready to do something to this Justice League wash out when Nightwing stepped in
"It's not like Batman expected something like this to happen, we just have to work with what we have"
Huntress Rolled her eyes "Who put the former boy wonder in charge"
"I did" a Voice said from above them
It was Batman standing in the shadows near one of the gargoyles
"Oh Good the Bat is here" Huntress said under her breath
Batman jumped down to the roof
"Situation update?" Batman asked seriously
"On our way here the streets have been very quiet, Like all the villains are planning something big" Said The Question coming forward
Batman turned to Raven "I take you have been motoring the situation with your Emphatic abilities"
Raven Nodded "There is definitely something going on it really feel like something bad is coming soon"
Batman pressed his comm connection on the Ear of his cowl "Crow, any updates?"
"Nothing as of yet, I have contacted as many Heroes as I can, some of them might be able to make it later but not before this kicks off"
Batman stood quite for a moment "We need to be ready, Split into groups of two and start taking different areas of Gotham, Crow Will keep you posted on what is happening"
Batman reached into one of his utility belts and pulled out a few ear pieces "These are our comm's"
he said as he gave one to every one on the roof "Just say the persons name that you want to talk to and it will directly connect to that person, Crow will be in contact with you as soon as anything happens that he gets any info on."
"Testing Comms, Check one Two, Every one hear me alright" Crow said once every one had put in their new comm device
everyone responded with an affirmative
"Good, We will have some help from the GCPD tonight as well, they are decked out in their Riot gear and will only engage with the League if nessisary, we will be getting updates of any new attacks coming directly from them."
"Good to know that a Copper will be around when we need them" John Said as he lit the new cigarette
"Okay then..."Crow said unsure of how to respond to that "Starfire and Nightwing will take Gotham North, Question and Huntress will take Gotham East, Raven and John will Take Gotham South, And Batman will take care of Gotham West"
"We all have our assignments, Hopefully we will have back up soon and Crow will keep us up to date when we get more people here to help" Batman Paused for a moment
"Just remember to be careful out there, the League is out for blood, Joker has the location of a Lazarus pit that the didn't know about. They really want to get it, Killing any one who stands in their way"
Batman pulled out his Bat-grapple "Let's Go to it"
he launched his line out and hit the other building far off "Good Luck" he said as he retracted his line and flew off into the night sky
Starfire grabbed Nightwing "You heard the man, Let's get to this"
Starfire took off heading towards the North ward of Gotham
"Hope this is better than the movie we missed" The Question said as they went to Wards the East Ward
John moved closer to Raven "Well looks like we're partners Love"
Raven Rolled her eyes "Oh let me contain my excitement" she said as she conjured a black disk for John to ride on
"That's the ticket," He said as he stepped onto the disk "Maybe we can work out some of our relationship issues along the way"
Raven Rolled here eyes "Don't make me drop you" she said as the took off towards the South Ward.
John Smiled and exhaled some smoke from his nose "Better women than you have tried Love, better women than you have tried"
**Somewhere in Gotham**
In a unknown area of Gotham the League of Assassins were planning their next move. The hide out was bursting with members of the League were preparing for a battle.
Some where practising, some where forging and sharpening new weapons, and others were silently meditating. All the while the few villains that had agreed to join them to go agents the Joker were sitting around waiting for their time.
The Villains that were in this group were: Bane, Killer Croc, Scare Crow, Poison Ivy and a few regular mentally unstable people.
After re-asembing his Venom infuser Bane wanted some answers, he left the other Rouges and headed over to the table where Talia was standing looking at maps of Gotham.
"I think that my self and my associates would like to know what the plan is." He said crossing his arms "we have been very patient and we would like to know why you need our assistance"
Talia looked up from the map "The Joker has some information that belongs to the League of Assassins and we would like it back, by any means necessary"
Bane didn't flinch or move "And what do we get out of this, Other the free escape?"
Talia Smiled "what would you like?" Talia said, interested in what he would say
Bane leaned down to her "The Bat." he said simply "Not killing him per-say, I'd like to Brake him."
Talia's face went Neutral "I can't promise you a can brake him, Not while I'm around...but I can make sure you have all the information you need to do that when the time is right."
Bane Smiled beneath his mask "I think I can make that work"
A/N: Sorry I haven't posted in a while 2020 was hell of a year, I moved into a new place, Got Married. And with work and life during the time of Covid, I didn't feel like writing very often. I hope to finish this story soon big things will be coming in the next few chapters, I want to aim for 20 Chapters limit, we will see if I can make that work. Hope you enjoy thanks.
