DANIEL'S P.O.V.
Us questers have to do a lot. And by that, I mean having to ride to a floor that doesn't even exist on the Empire State Building. Whilst listening to some boomer oldies.
Rose poked me, "nervous, lightning rod?"
I laughed at that, "a new nickname? Seriously?"
"Yep," she said, popping the p. She was definitely nervous. We had spent the entire morning talking about our past and our dreams. We had a lot more in common than I thought we did at first.
"Well, I've got one now too, wreath face."
She made a face at me with mock surprise, "not too shabby, not too shabby."
I laughed and grinned.
The elevator door opened after some time and I stepped out, my jaw dropping.
Like damn, it was that beautiful. I could tell some parts of Olympus were still ravaged, but the other parts were amazing. I could use a hundred other adjectives but I'm not smart enough to remember them all.
"Close your mouth before a fly get's inside of it," Rose retorted. I see she is not going to make this easy on me.
I laughed and swung my arm around her shoulder, enjoying her company. "Well, let's go visit Aphrodite."
ROSE'S P.O.V.
I had been receiving a hell of a lot of thoughts from Daniel recently. I thought it was high time to tell him since there could be no better time than the present.
"Hey, Daniel," I said, "come sit with me."
He shrugged and sat on a bench beside me, I enjoyed his comfort.
"So," I said, not sure how to start this conversation, "do you know why we're visiting Aphrodite?"
"No," he said with a grin. He would get so mad.
"Well, actually, never mind. Now that I think about it, it's to get some advice. And you know, it's kind of confidential."
