Umi was sitting on her couch, trying her best to pay no attention to the raging thunderstorm only meters away from where she was. To be honest she considered herself lucky, if she stayed out only for a few more seconds she would be soaked to the core. Still she loved being curled up against the soft cushion, wrapped in a blanket and a nice warm cup of tea to satisfy her needs. The archer never has licked storms, the thunder especially, she would always jump when the loud band echoed throughout the sky. In the archers eyes, thunderstorms are just plain scary.
Suddenly loud banging stirred the blue haired girl from her trance, looking at the door in confusion she wondered if she had just imagined it. Though when the banging continued she finally got up to see who it was, though she did admit she was a little nervous, I mean c'mon who barges at a door at 11:00 at night. Unlocking the door, Umi slowly opened it and what she saw...or who she saw was a little more than a shock.
"Maki?" she asked surprised. The girl looked at her with apologetic eyes, she was shivering, her hair was a mess and she looked terrified. The red-head stayed quiet, not trusting her voice at the moment, instead she flung herself into Umi, wrapping her arms around the girl's neck. If it was possible the archer was even more shocked by the entire situation, especially the weird behavior coming from her friend. Finally noticing that they were still at the door, Umi carefully picked up the younger girl, who instinctively wrapped her legs around the older girls waist, before shutting the door and carrying the red-head over to the couch.
As gently as she could, the archer placed the younger girl onto the couch, wrapping a warm blanket around the shivering first year. Umi sat back down on her couch, looking at her friend with concern, she had never seen the younger girl like this before and it was really scary, scratch that it was terrifying. After all this is the first time the younger girl has ever acted like this. Umi knew she had to say something but what? she didn't know, so instead she did the first thing that came to mind. The archer scooted until she was close enough to wrap her arms around the younger girl, pulling her in for an embrace. Maki didn't show any signs of resistance and she nuzzled into her enjoying the warmth that was emanating from her .
The two stayed like that for a while, Umi figured that if the younger girl wanted to say something she would say it in her own time. So instead she held the younger girl close, trying her best to warm her up quickly.
After a few painfully quiet minutes, Maki yawned and untangled herself from the covers. She looked at Umi, who gave her a small smile in return. Slowly the red-head leaned in for a needed kiss, to which the older girl happily returned. Wrapping her arms around the girl's neck, Maki slowly fell backwards onto the couch, pulling Umi along with her.
At first Umi was a little slow but it wasn't long until she relaxed into the kiss. Maki herself was in pure bliss, she didn't think that it would rain THAT hard. She was thankful to have been near Umi's at the time. But when the thunder came along, Maki literally ran to Umi's front door...not that she was going to say that.
She securely wrapped her arms around Umi's neck, moving down to cup the girls cheek from time to time. Umi sighed and pulled away, giving the younger girl a smile.
Maki blushed and averted her gaze, causing the blue haired girl chuckle. Sitting back up, Umi got off the coach and made her way over to the kitchen.
Maki wrapped herself into a little cocoon as she waited for Umi to return. She could hear the whistle of a kettle and a few other noises, but she couldn't really make out what they are.
Making her way out the kitchen, Umi made her way through the living room, humming a small tune as she went to another room at the other end. Maki watched curiously as her beloved wandered around her house, their eyes meeting for a few seconds, making both girls blush.
Umi finally brought out a cup of tea and handed it over to Maki, smiling tenderly as she did so. Maki blushed once again and mumbled her thanks while looking away.
Sitting next to the younger girl, Umi reached over for the remote and scrolled through the channels. Maki leaned in and rested her head against Umi's shoulder, her body finally warmed up. She could feel her eyes slowly drooping as her body finally wanted a rest from all the running.
"Maki?" called a gentle voice, causing the red-head to jolt up.
Umi's natural reaction was to jump at the sudden action, causing her to fall off the couch and onto the floor. When she noticed what happened, Maki couldn't help but try to stop the laughter from being released.
Sitting up, Umi looked up from her position on the floor and at the laughing girl on the coach. Raising an eyebrow, Umi gave Maki an un-amused look as she got back up. Maki wiped a loose tear from her eye as she finally stopped laughing. Once she saw Umi's look though, her amused grin dropped immediately and she had to avert her gaze from Umi's deadly gaze.
Without Maki noticing, Umi walked closer to the younger girl attacking her with death by tickling. Soon Maki's laughter returned and she fell on her side while trying to hold Umi's hands away.
Once she got a good hold on Umi's wrists, Maki gave the girl a wide grin and pulled Umi down on top of her. Umi gave a scream as she found herself falling once again.
Opening her eyes, the first thing Umi saw was the rare gentle smile placed on Maki's lips. It seemed that Maki's rare smile was also contagious as soon Umi found herself with the same one.
Leaning in, Umi captured the red heads lips with her own and quickly pulled away. She nuzzled into the pianists neck and soon found herself getting tired. Letting out a yawn, Umi started to stroke the top of Maki's head.
It seems that Maki has a soft spot for having the top of her head being rubbed, just like Umi has with her tummy. It kind of reminded both girls of stroking a cat or dog.
It wasn't long before Maki was fast asleep and Umi wasn't far behind.
Maybe thunderstorms weren't that bad after all...

Well it turns out I am all out of ideas which is a total bummer...
But hopefully If I come up with more ideas then this story can continue if not then this story will only go up to 10 chapters.
If you have any ideas though I would love to know and maybe I could write about them so yeah...:)
