Ash slowly awoke, groaning as he pushed him to sit up. "What happened?" He asked with a hand on his head, his eyes landed on Pikachu. "Pikachu!" He jumped up and quickly picked up his pokemon partner. "Are you ok, buddy?" He asked as the mouse pokemon opened his eyes, once seeing his trainer he smiled.

"That was." Hop started, and Ash turned to see him awake and helping Serena stand. "I don't know what that was." He finished with a look of confusion.

"All I know. Is that I don't want that happening again!" Serena said, still feeling scared. "Can we please leave this place?" She asked, looking at Hop.

"HOP! SERENA! ASH!" Leon's voice shouted.

The three turned to see Leon and his Charizard running towards them.

"Wha, Lee?" Hop stared at his brother. "How'd you manage to find your way here?" He asked with surprise. "Your pants with directions. You always get lost."

Leon placed his hands on his hips as he looked at him. "Oh, that's nice to hear from the little brother who had me worried sick! We've been waiting ages for you three, and you never showed! Of course I came looking for you lot."

"Sir, please do be mad." Serena said as she took a step forward and Leon turned his gaze to her. "We were trying to find a pokemon, who came in to this forest."

Leon smiled, then turned to the side to show the three teens Charizard with a Wooloo.

"Meh!"

"The little chap's just fine." Leon said. "Though all of you had fainted by the time I found you here. You know this place is out of bounds, but it took courage to come in here all the same. And I can understand well enough why you did it. You did good, Hop."

Hop smiled. "Thanks Lee. But I can't take all the credit, Serena and Ash helped too."

"At least that pokemon's ok." Ash smiled as Pikachu sat on his shoulder.

"Yeah." Serena nodded. "But what kind of pokemon is it?"

"That my dear, is a Wooloo." Leon answered.

Hop rubbed his head. "I thought we'd had it when that weird fog started rolling in and that mad pokemon attacked, but at least it wasn't all for nothing."

"Attacked?" Leon turned his attention back to Hop. "Attacked by some mad pokemon? What are you talking about Hop?"

"It seemed loads stronger then any pokemon I've ever seen." His brother started to explain. "And it just had this sort of presence. Our moves didn't even touch it. I mean, really they seemed to pass right through it!"

Leon folds his arms. "You're moves passed right through it?" He looked thoughtful. "So, the fearsome pokemon they say live in the Slumbering Weald. Are they actually illusions or something?" He unfolds his arms and looks at the three. "Get strong enough and maybe the three of you could be the ones to reveal the truth someday. For now, let's simply get out of this place. You'll be alright now that I'm with you."

Hop turns to his two friends, really pumped. "Even if we did get an earful from Lee, what an experience! This'll make a pretty fine first page in the tale of my legend!"

Serena looks around the forest. "Can we please leave this place?" She asked with worry.

"Yes." Leon nods. Let's all head back."

As they all walked back towards the entrance of the forest, a Rookidee had been watching them.

"Serena! Ash!" Shauna cried once the four entered the lab, and Shauna tackled her two friends in a tight hug. "Where have you guys been!?" She cried.

"Sorry Shauna." Ash apologized.

"So you found out what that noise was?" Gary asked when Shauna finally pulled herself away from the three hug.

"We did." Serena answered with a nod. "A pokemon broke through a gate."

"And into the Slumbering Weald." Hop finished, causing Shauna to look at him.

"Is the pokemon ok?" She asked.

"Yep! It's ok." He nods.

"I'm going to head on to Professor Magnolia's." Leon said, just as Yampor ran up to him, and pawed at his leg. "But before I forget, do either of you have a Rotom phone?"

Ash nods. "I have one." As if on cue, his rotom phone flew out of his pocket and buzzed.

Leon nods. "I'm sure Professor Magnolia will give you all a Rotom phone." He turns to leave. "Hop, make sure you bring them to her place safely." With that he followed Yampor out of the lab.

"So, what's the Slumbering Weald?" Gary asked Hop, who smiled.

"Let's head to Professor Magnolia's at the end of Route 2, and at the same time I'll explain about that forest."
