Shinichi is in the mall buying gifts for his Friends. He asked Heiji, Kaito and Saguru to celebrate Christmas with him like they used to do.
He stopped walking on a fusae shop and look in the display bags.
'I should give her a gift! She will love it!' His thoughts.
Shinichi went inside and pick one of the expensive handbag. After shopping he went home.
He see Kaito in the living room.
"Oi! What are you doing here?" He asked.
Kaito looks at the shopping bags he's holding. Kaito smirked.
"Fusae Bag wow!" He claps.
"Shiho will surely loves it!" He added.
Shinichi smiled.
"Don't tell her. It's a surprise" said Shinichi.
He went upstairs. Kaito was left behind in the living room.
'I knew it. He likes her too.' His thoughts.
Shiho is looking at Kaito smiling widely.
"Hey you look like an idiot smiling alone there." She commented.
She sit down next to him.
"Are you bringing your girlfriend here?" She asked.
"Aoko?" He asked.
"Why is there anyone else besides of Aoko?" She smirked.
Kaito roll his eyes.
"She's my only one but I'm not bringing her here because you know She looks like Ran and I don't want Shinichi to be sad by remembering her to Aoko." He said.
"I see."
"Can I ask you a hypothetical question?" He looks at her.
She looks back.
"What is it?" She asked.
"Promise me you'll answer it!"
"Fine." Shiho roll her eyes.
"What if Shinichi will ask you out on a date?" He said.
She's trying her best not to blush because of his question.
"That's impossible." She calmly said.
"That's why it's only a hypothetical question right? Just please answer it."
"What will you do?" He added.
He is looking at her eyes but he can't read her.
"I will go with him if he ask me out and take me to mall to treat me."
"I mean it in a romantic way Shiho. What if he will ask you on a date?"
"Why do you want to know?" She raised her eyebrow.
"I'm curious." He smiled.
"I won't answer it."
"Why not?"
"I just don't want to."
"Is it because..." he looks at her and giving her a tease look.
"Stop that idiot!"
"You l-i-k-e h-i-m" he smirked.
"NO."
"Then why not answer it?"
"Fine I'll answer it. Stop saying that, if he hears you he will hate me even more." She roll her eyes.
"Ok then pretend I'm Shinichi, look me in the eyes and say the words you wanted to say." He said
Shiho looks at him. It's not hard to pretend or let's say imagine that Shinichi is in front of her even it's Kaito because they look similar. Shiho sighed.
"Will you go out on a date with me?" Kaito mimics Shinichi's voice.
Shiho is dumbfounded staring at him, she knows He's not Shinichi but in her dream she sometimes see this scenario. Wishing it could be real and she didn't want to wake up from her dreamland.
"Before I answer it Kudo kun... let me say this first. From the very first moment I saw you in a newspaper I knew there's something about you. I can't get you off my mind, I was in the laboratory of the curse organization doing the experimental drugs you hated." Shiho smiled.
"I admire you while looking at your photo in newspaper. And I never thought I will be close to you... that I will become part of your life. I never imagine you will save me from the darkness and bring light and hope to my life. Kudo kun I am so thankful." She smiled again.
"You are the best thing that ever happened in my life you know..." she looks deeply in his eyes.
Kaito looks so serious.
'Is she confessing now? Shinichi should hear this out!' His thought.
"But I'm not going with you on a date." She laughs.
Kaito gives her the what the heck look.
"Are you joking?" He asked.
"Isn't it obvious?" She smirked.
"You're so good in acting i almost believe you." He said.
"I wanted to become an actress." She joked.
"You're hired!" He said.
They both laugh.
"Hey I'm going to work now." He stand up.
"Alright. Thanks for stopping by." She smiled.
Kaito left the mansion and went at Heiji's place. He see Heiji open the door and looks like he's going somewhere.
"Hey!" Kaito said.
"Hey." Heiji said.
"Are you going to office?" Asked Kaito.
"Not today why?"
"Uh you forgot? we will investigate about Mr Takahashi's case?"
"Can we do it tomorrow?"
"Where are you going is it urgent?"
"It's really urgent! Bye!"
Heiji walks out and call a taxi, Kaito was left outside Heiji's house and Kaito calls a taxi too and decided to follow his friend.
Heiji stopped and enter at the Guerlain shop after a few minutes he went outside the shop and see Kaito standing outside waiting for him.
"Buying a perfume for a woman is an urgent? Really?"
Heiji looks at him.
"Yes because I almost forgot that 1 week from now is already Christmas."
"Is that for Kazuha?" Kaito asked.
"No."
"Oh then it's for Momiji?"
Heiji shake his head side to side.
"Then it must be for Shiho if I'm not mistaken now?"
Heiji started walking away but Kaito following him.
"Hey is that for Shiho?" Kaito asked again.
"Yeah it's for her."
"Why are you giving her an expensive perfume?"
"Because she deserves something like this."
"Shinichi brought a fusae bag I saw him."
Heiji stopped walking and face Kaito.
"Really?" Asked Heiji.
"Yeah I went there today and he told me not to say it to her since it's a surprise!"
"Surprise?"
"Yeah."
"Ohh."
"Do you like Shiho?"
"What?"
"You hear me right?"
"Why are you asking me a question like that?"
"Just tell me. Don't worry I won't tell Her." He smiled.
Heiji didn't answer and start walking away.
"Hey!" Kaito yelled.
He follows Heiji again.
"She likes Shinichi." Said Kaito.
"I know. It's so obvious."
"And you like her?" He asked again.
"She's only a friend Kaito. It's not that I don't find her attractive, she's really a pretty woman but definitely not my type." He said.
"Hey why are you denying it?"
"I'm not denying ok?"
Kaito smiled.
"You are." Said Kaito.
Heiji sighed.
"You don't get it." Said Heiji.
"Then tell me!"
"I will but not now." Heiji said.
Shiho is preparing dinner on the dining table. While Shinichi walks in and see her preparing foods.
"Stop wasting your time I'm not going to eat 'em." He looks at her.
But Shiho still preparing and ignore Shinichi's comment.
"Hey Criminal!"
Shinichi moves the chair and sitdown on it. He looks at her while preparing his dinner.
"Did you know Heiji likes Kazuha but shy to admit it?" He said.
She looks at him emotionless.
"And you keep hanging out with Heiji. Heiji is such a nice decent kind man. He deserves a decent woman and you're not a perfect match." He smiled.
"I never seen a Detective falls in love with a Criminal and vice versa. Stop hanging out with him, you'll just get your high hopes and will fail eventually. " He added.
"We're just friends and nothing more. He's just being nice that's why he's hanging out with a Criminal if that's what you want to hear." She said.
"That's good! Know your boundaries!" He smirked.
"Even if I fall in love with him, I won't stand a chance, childhood friends always win." She said.
She's done preparing the foods and left Shinichi on the dining area.
