Weeks slowly passed by, his usual routine never-ending for each day. Shigeo and Keigo both sat at a table in complete silence as they ate their lunch.

"Have you found his family yet?"

"No, since you don't know his surname, it will take a while to find him. But I might be getting close."

"That's good."

The awkward silence simmered in the void as the conversation ended, Shigeo frowned and spoke out.

"There's something I've wanted to ask."

"What is it?"

"I'm planning on visiting my family during my break at Christmas. Do you want to join me?"

"What?"

Takami looked at him in shock as his mouth hanged opened from the question. Kageyama looked at the younger waiting for his response as the pregnant silence continued for the two.

"I'll have to think about it..."

"I'm glad. Do you want to visit Tenko after this?"

"Yeah! Plus, maybe if I look cool enough, he might look up to me!"

Kageyama laughed and nodded. Once the two had finished eating their meal and giving their thanks, they headed towards the hospital. Takami held a few items wrapped in his arms, wanting to give to Shimura. As they walked closer to the boy's hospital room, they stiffened at hearing the pitch of screaming and wailing. Shigeo's complexion palled in complete fright. Dropping the bag, he was holding and sprinted to the room.

His heart, beating heavy against his chest at a furious pace, various situations boiled in his mind for why such cries, slamming the door open. He froze at the scene in front of him, nurses holding him down and a doctor about to inject some substance into his body. An aura of bloodlust escaped from him, releasing his powers pulling the people down to the ground.

He had lost it when he saw Shimura screaming, pleading them to stop. Tears, filling in his eyes, falling down his face, the expression of despair and fear when he saw Shigeo. Rushing to Tenko and wrapped the boy in his arms, as the child continued to wail. His frail body, trembling in fear, his voice trembling as he repeated Shigeo's name nonstop. All Kageyama could do was apologize to the boy for not arriving sooner.

Other doctors soon rushed in complete fear and shock in their features. Noone spoke, only the whimpers and trembling heavy breaths from Tenko would be heard. Shigeo turned to look at the arriving people and glaring at them, his powers still in full use, slowly dissipating as the seconds passed.

Tenko moved to a different room. In which he was, accompanied, by Keigo. Shigeo talked with the doctors in private. He was in abhor, fuming in anger for what happened. The doctor had tried sedating the boy. 'For the sake of the safety of the other patients due to his villainous quirk.'

He attempted his best to remain calm, yet he knew he couldn't. The boy was already in fear of his quirk from the trauma he experienced, trying such actions didn't help at all. Yet, they only temporally suspended the doctor for it. He wanted the man fired, just for the satisfaction.

He walked to the new room where the children where, as he opened the door, he hears Keigo's voice.

"Your Quirk's Decay?"

"Yeah... It's disgusting, isn't it?"

"No way! It's so cool. You can easily disarm your enemies, or destroy barricades! Like super cool, just like Shigeo's!"

"R-Really?"

"Of course, as he would, always say. It's the person that chooses the way to wield their weapon and lead their life. We aren't to be dictated by them."

"That's something he would say."

Their laughter only made the oldest smile as he walked in, he greeted the two as he went to sit down by the bed.

"The doctor said, in a few months. You can leave."

"Really?"

"Yes. Tenko, I'm planning on adopting you. It will take a while since their strict on who they allow, but I'll try my best."

Both boys looked at him in shock, one smiling and embracing him in a hug, the second in complete confusion of the conversation.

"Wait, so Shigeo will adopt Shimura?"

"Yes, that's right. Are you bothered by this?"

"No, just a bit surprised by the news, but I'm glad. Shimura will be with someone that makes him feel happy and safe. Plus, he can be like my little brother or cousin!"

All three of them laughed the cheery atmosphere washing away the negative mentions they had, staying with Tenko for a few more hours before leaving. Shigeo leads Keigo back to the building.

"Are you happy that I'm adopting Tenko?"

"Of course, why shouldn't I be? He feels safe and happy when around you. He told me what happened. It's wrong of them to do that."

"I'm glad I got to hear your opinion on what happened."

"I mean, it was kinda scary seeing you get all mad like that, but I would be too."

"Do you think it would be nice if he could join us during Christmas?"

"Totally! He and I can play in the snow, plus I want to get him some gifts!"

Kageyama laughed and petted the blond's head, soon dropping him off at the building as he headed back. Reaching his apartment, he falls onto his knees, curling up in a ball as he cried, mumbling apologies to Tenko. His body, trembling as he remembered the memories he had buried in his mind. He knew they were in the past. Still, he couldn't help it, the fear in the child's eyes. He never lost such control of his powers after so many years, had the child affected him so much to this extent? I accepted it, he knew he couldn't protect the boy from the harsh world, yet he didn't want him to be treated like that ever again.

His exhale trembling, his lips quivering.

"This world is fucked. Children shouldn't be discriminated, just because of their Quirks? How gullible are people now to be saying what's good or bad? I don't even want to think about what quirkless people go through..."

He stared at the floor, an empty look in his eyes. Sighing and closing them as he stood up, opening them again.

"I know I can't do much right now, but I want to at least slowly destroy those types of mindsets because, in the end, we're all just human."
