She looked at the armchair, surprised that Emma's voice had come from there. How was this possible ? Was she inside the armchair ? Was she the armchair ? No, even for Emma, that was impossible, right ? Maybe… She wasn't so sure. Could it be like that ? Magic could be quite unpredictable, especially when it came to Emma. Her magic could be weird, sometimes, and other times even funny. If she really had been turned into an armchair, that was pretty much the funniest thing Regina had ever heard. Oh, Emma, if she didn't exist, life would be quite boring. She called Emma once again, wanting to make sure she hadn't been dreaming when she heard her friend's voice call her. She heard the voice again, noticing that it seemed to come from far away. Weird. She heard Emma say :
- Regina ! I'm stuck under the cushion !
Regina's armchair had a cushion on top of it. And Emma said that she was stuck under it ? Given Emma's size, aka human size, it would be impossible for Regina not to see her if she really was there. But she still didn't see her. How was that possible ? She examined the armchair, coming closer and lifting the cushion. And sure enough, Emma was there. But speaking of size...Emma had changed size. Quite radically. Yes, she had been stuck underneath the cushion, and yes, she could fit there. Her new size explained why Regina hadn't seen her before, only hearing her voice. Regina caught Emma in her hands. The sheriff was now the size of Regina's hand. She could easily sit on it. That was such a weird sight ! Regina had seen a lot of things, even little people, but seeing this miniature Emma was such a weird thing to see that at first, she didn't quite know what to say. And what could she say ? Scolding Emma would be of no use, because being stuck like that was already a punishment. She obviously had used the book to try a spell, and it had gone remarkably wrong, as a lot of Emma's spells usually did. When Regina found her voice again, she asked :
- Well, how is the world from your point of view now ? I must admit, I'm quite curious.
- You're not going to scold me ? That's weird. Obviously, I did something. But great. I'm having enough problems as it is, with my pocket size. Could you please put me on the table ? I'm a bit afraid of heights, and you hand isn't the most stable thing, apparently.
Regina huffed, a smirk appearing almost instantly on her face. She put Emma on the coffee table, crouching to be at her level. Even in this position, she looked like a giant next to Emma. Regina said :
- My, my, how the tables have turned. Look who is smaller than me now ! And not just a bit ! You're so cute like that ! You are like a doll ! I wonder if Henry still has his monster house. Maybe you could fit in here…
She thought for a bit, and then, in a hand movement, the house appeared next to Emma. It was such a ugly house, thought the little blonde. At least when you were the same size as the small plastic door. It was clearly a horror house, with small toys that could live in there. But she wasn't a toy ! Why did Regina bring this house here ? Had she lost her mind ? Oh no ! Was she going to make her live in here for the rest of her life and keep her like this ? Should she have not trusted Regina ? Now was not the time to ask herself that. It was too late to do anything. She waited for Regina to say something. Her friend told her to go inside the house, looking quite amused by the whole situation. Well, Emma didn't find this funny. But she supposed it was only fair. She had made a mistake, and she would not forget it easily. Neither would Regina. She went inside the toy house, hearing Regina chuckle behind her.
