Here's the USJ finale everyone! Sorry if the chapter's somewhat short wanted to keep it strictly USJ this time nonetheless hope you enjoy!
Izuku looked up at the Noumu seemingly staring at nothing as if the world didn't matter. Even though one of its defining features was the massive brain located on the top of his head he couldn't look anymore brainless. A puppet made for the will of other people. Why did that sound oddly familiar?
Izuku then looked at the seething villain behind the Noumu a truly sad being. What in the beginning seemed to be a menacing villain looked like a child throwing a temper tantrum right now. A child born to the world rich and spoiled only to be abused and ostracized by society when his parents died, an interesting theory.
Well Izuku had no time to dwell on these things now because the spoiled brat just ordered the puppet to kill him and for the first time Izuku was truly on a battlefield.
"NOUMU KILL HIM." Shigaraki yelled.
Izuku saw the blank faced Noumu once second and then immediately as the sentence ended, he vanished from Izuku's sight nowhere to be seen. Only a split second later did he suddenly see Noumu's fist heading right towards him. Damn. 100% SMASH!
Izuku powered up 100% in his right arm and collided with Noumu's fist causing a massive shockwave that blew powerful winds across the center of USJ. Izuku and the Noumu both blew back a small distance and squared up with each other. Izuku looked down at his arm expecting his healing factor to work on his arm but when he looked down his arm was completely fine as if he was only using 40% of One for All.
Shock Absorption! Not only does it absorb shock for himself but all other sources as well. But it's not nullification which means that there's a limit to how much he can absorb, and it probably goes the same for me as well. Which means this is going to be a battle of attrition. If that's the case I need to wear it down.
Izuku summoned his energy sword fully charged ready to wear Noumu down by making it repeatedly regenerate its limbs. Energy Sword fully charged, One for All 40% percent, Eagle Eye, Limit break! In addition to having One for All on he had Eagle Eye and Limit Break on his eyes as well. Thanks to sense amplifier with his sight Izuku is able to see things at 0.50x speed compared to the average human. With Limit Break activated through his eyes Izuku enhances that and will be able to see something coming in 0.10x speed. But this has an obvious draw back as it will eventually cause his eyes to bleed.
With this I'll either be able to end the fight right now or at least wear him out long enough for the heroes to get here. Either way I don't think this thing can die it is just a puppet after all well time to test it out.
Noumu blasted towards Izuku but with his eyes in peak form he easily saw him coming a mile away and jumped on Noumu's arm when he tried to punch him. Afterwards Izuku blinked to Noumu's neck and swiftly did a phantom slash right at the Noumu's neck slicing his head off completely.
"WHAT THE- HOW DID YOU DO THAT! YOU'RE A FILTHY CHEATER DAMNIT!" Shigaraki yelled out seeing his Noumu defeated so easily.
Which is what Izuku thought as well until a disgusting sound of flesh rejuvenating came from behind him. A second later Noumu's head reappeared along with his bulging brain on top.
"AHAHAHA DID YOU REALLY THINK YOU WON THAT EASILY NOUMU HAS MULTIPLE QUIRKS INCLUDING RAPID REGENERATION. You're finished you might've caught it by surprise once but there's no way you can pull that off again." Shigaraki said a smirk on his face.
"So, your Monster's a cheater as well that's what I expect from someone on the same team as you." Izuku replied before jumping at the Noumu again.
For the next few minutes Izuku repeatedly chopped off Noumu's limbs with his sword while evading taking any hits from him thanks to his keen eyes.
It's getting slower the more limbs I chop off this thing I can see it. It's slow but noticeable the flesh is recuperating and moving at a slower rate. He's getting slower as well. But, honestly I don't know how long I can keep this up I've usually only used One foe All with other quirks in short bursts but using it for an extended period of time with this many quirks is something I've never done before I don't know how long I can hold out like this.
Izuku noticed that he was actually starting to breathe heavily, and water started to slowly seep in his eyes as if he was yawning. He couldn't keep this up for long and he knew it. So Izuku decided to exclusively slash at the Noumu's legs. Every time he did, he turned off all his quirks except his sword since that would take too long.
At this point Izuku was exhausted he has never before had to strain his body to such a degree. Even though he has quirks that boost his vitality and stamina he realized his healing factor didn't support stamina rather used it since it was based off of Recovery Girl's quirk and his modified stamina and training was barely keeping him together.
One more if I just cut off the head here then I can recuperate long enough to cut off the other limbs and leave this thing immobile for a while.
And so, just like the first time Izuku activated all his quirks one more time as he jumped onto the Noumu's arm and slashed his head off. He immediately kneeled down afterwards and turned all his quirks off even his sword disappeared involuntarily.
Ok… Just need to focus on a breathing technique and regain my strength so I can- *SMACK* Before Izuku's thought process could be completed the Noumu leapt out at Izuku punching him across the center of USJ until he collided with a wall.
"HAHAHAHAHA. You probably didn't realize but Noumu can still move even though you cut off his head. You probably didn't even see it coming, did you? It's just like you said he's a puppet. I can tell you're tired just rest forever and let Noumu here takeover." Shigaraki said looking smug.
Damn he's right I didn't expect that the first time I did that he stopped moving and I didn't even bother to do it again because of the time it took for him to get up I was rushing with the amount of time I had with my quirks. I should've experimented when I was turning off my quirks. What a monster I think half of my bones were broken from that one punch I can't imagine anyone other than All Might fighting this thing.
Izuku's healing factor was working slowly but surely considering Izuku was fatigued as well and quirks were physical powers meaning Izuku had no means to resupply energy. Unfortunately for Izuku he didn't have that time as the Noumu was walking over to him intent on finishing the fight.
Damnit I can't move yet! My healing factor is working too slowly right now to heal all this strain I put on my body and I can barely stand as is. Is this the end for me? One week into finally starting my mission and I die like this? Against some biological weapon that was designed for the number one hero who's quirk I obtained somehow? I…I miss mother I don't even remember her. Why am I even doing this again? Why am I here? Izuku thought.
But then as soon as that question entered his head his mind was shocked and suddenly a slew of memories from the day he first met his father came rushing back to him and then the reason as to why he told him why he had this mission popped into his head like clockwork. Causing him to clutch his head in pain
No. I am Phantom I am an assassin no, the ULTIMATE ASSASSIN as designated by my father and I REFUSE to FAIL ANY MISSION ESPECIALLY HERE AND NOW! I- Izuku couldn't finish his thoughts as a wave of ice suddenly enraptured the Noumu on one side causing it to break apart in half.
"Todoroki!" Izuku yelled before pulling him back realizing he was suddenly standing again.
"Kage you look like hell what happened to you?" He asked before looking at the Noumu slowly regenerating his flesh back into its full form.
"That monster they designed it to kill All Might and I've been fighting it to stall for the teachers this whole time." Izuku replied
"You've been fighting a monster designed to kill All Might how?"
"His quirk is specifically tailored to fight All Might's meaning I've been able to slice him with my sword, but his regeneration just keeps going like you see there."
"It doesn't seem too tough if I keep freezing him then we can just immobilize it until the teachers get here." Todoroki suggested.
"It won't work you were able to catch it off guard but now it's aware of your presence and is way too fast to use your quirk on again."
"So how were you able to deal with it this whole time?" Todoroki asked.
"That's becau-"
"OI EXTRAS!" Bakugo appearing with Kirishima suddenly yelled disrupting Izuku from answering.
"So, this is where the main event is, I'm guessing the main bad guy is that Frankenstein looking thing with a beak?" Bakugo asked.
"Yes, and it's too strong for anyone here to fight Aizawa sensei might die just after taking a few hits from that thing." Izuku immediately replied.
"Then like I said earlier how were you fighting it?" Todoroki asked once more.
"WOAH YOU WERE FIGHTING THAT THING THAT'S SUPER MANLY BRO!" Kirishima suddenly yelled in surprise.
"YOU FOUGHT THAT THING AND YOU GOT THE BALLS TO TELL ME NOT TO FIGHT IT KAGE. YOU'RE DEAD AFTER THIS BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY…THAT THINGS DEAD RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW!" Bakugo yelled before jumping out at it with his quirk.
"BAKUGO DON'T!" Izuku yelled out at him.
Bakugo used explosion on the Noumu only for it to be completely unaffected. In fact, he started standing completely still just looking forward.
"What's wrong with this thing it must be broken." Bakugo said.
"BAKUGO GET OUT OF THERE!" Izuku yelled out at him.
"Noumu kill them all." Shigaraki commanded.
"YOU LISTEN HERE KAGE DON'T ACT ALL SUPERIOR JUST BECAUSE YOU FOUGHT THIS THING! IF A WEAKLING LIKE YOU COULD FIGHT THIS THING THEN SO CAN- huh?" Bakugo suddenly said as the Noumu started to move on Shigaraki's orders and hurled its fist at Bakugou.
That Idiot! Izuku thought before turning on Limit Break so he could reach the Noumu in time. Right before it hit Bakugou at full force Izuku pushed him out the way and blocked it with his arms. Izuku immediately collided with the wall again.
"WOAH Bakugo did you dodge that? That was manly!" Kirishima said.
"No… I…I didn't even see it coming." Bakugo said before looking over at Izuku who was laying down lifeless at the wall.
"HAHAHAHAHA ALL YOU BRATS CAN'T HELP BUT TO BE A HERO AND NOW LOOK AT YOU YOU'RE ALL DEAD!" Shigaraki exclaimed a smug smile on his face.
I'm pretty sure both my arms are broken from that not like I can really feel anything else either. Izuku thought as he was laying down his head propped up on the wall.
Damn. Is this the extent of my abilities? All the fighting I've endured only for me to lose to another weapon? Maverick's probably watching disappointed and I'm sure father will be disappointed as well. I'm sorry everyone.
*WHISTLE*
Huh? What was that? Was that Maverick doing the Assassin's whistle or was that just my imagination? I…no not yet I can't be finished here not yet. I have a mission to fulfill I didn't struggle towards the only thing I've known for a decade to be beaten by another weapon! Pride. I've never been taught to have much of it have I? Always just completing missions with no issue. But there's a reason for that isn't there?! That's why father labeled me as who I am.
Izuku slowly stood up from the rubble and ashes created by his collision and wiped the blood off of his face. The Noumu and Izuku immediately stared at each other and for the first time the Noumu didn't look like a mindless monster but something that had an instinct to kill someone who wanted to win. Two weapons created with the intention to kill and control faced off as if the world around them had come to a standstill. As if nothing else mattered except the battlefield and each other.
"Noumu let's clear this level and go home before the heroes arrive." Shigaraki said.
My healing factor's as slow as it's ever been, and I can feel all my bones creaking just from activating this and my energy sword is completely drained meaning I can't use it. However, One for All 40% 100% on arms! Limit Break Eagle Eye activate! With the energy I have left I'll make sure this thing is done for good. I feel weaker than I've ever felt before but I'm the only one who can do this right now. Why? BECAUSE I AM THE ULTIMATE ASSASSIN!
Izuku and Noumu jumped out at each other and started trading blows causing the entire building to shake blowing anybody nearby away. Its quirk is shock absorption meaning the blowback for both of us is absorbed by this thing's quirk, but it doesn't nullify it completely meaning there's a limit to how much it can take!
Izuku could feel his bones slowly cracking from the stress of Noumu's blows and his own quirks but even so he kept on pushing because he knew the Noumu was near it's breaking point. "The ultimate weapon? Made to fight All Might? Even so there's no way I'll let you win here my pride as an assassin won't allow it! If you can handle me at my full power, then I'll have to beyond that AND DESTROY FOR GOOD!" ONE FOR ALL 120%!
With the increased power of Izuku's punches and the constant winning of trades due to Izuku's empowered eyes he slowly started to gain the advantage against it. The Noumu threw a punch towards Izuku's left which he was able to catch, and he flung him upwards as high as he could. I don't have much left meaning this is it!
As the Noumu was in midair defenseless Izuku activated 100% threw his whole body and launched himself towards the Noumu at breakneck speeds. A bioengineered monster created by villains for their own use for whatever reason I feel as if were connected somehow someway. But, there's a difference between you and me I know who I am and because of that I know how to push further and GO BEYOND PHANTOM CANNON!
Izuku collided into the Noumu with both arms at maximum capacity and with the momentum of his jump he sent the Noumu through the roof of the building and he watched as it collided with the clouds disappearing as if it had joined the stars.
"What was that?" Asked Tokoyami who was inside of a building fighting villains as it started shaking from the blow.
"An explosion?" wondered Ojiro who was fighting villains in the same building.
Izuku Uraraka thought as everyone felt it.
"I guess the mind of an assassin can best the versatility of a weapon goodbye Noumu." Izuku said before dropping down and getting caught by Todoroki's ice sliding down to the floor harmlessly.
"Thank you, Todoroki." Izuku said laying down on the floor before passing out from exhaustion.
"That that's IMPOSSIBLE THAT BRAT IS A CHEATER HOW WAS HE ABLE TO DEFEAT NOUMU WHO WAS SUPPOSED TO KILL ALL MIGHT!" Shigaraki yelled.
"No matter he's too weak to even move now because of that fight. I'll avenge Noumu by taking your life!" Shigaraki said manically before running towards Izuku.
"OH NO YOU DON'T" Bakugo said before blasting towards Shigaraki and keeping him away with the crackling of his hands.
"The kids these days are too damn OP JUST LET ME KILL HIM!" Shigraki yelled out clearly losing his composure.
Suddenly the door burst open and a gigantic figure of pure muscle and blonde hair walked through the door and for the first time as most of the students would describe he wasn't smiling he looked angry.
"Shigaraki let us get out of here we don't have a chance" Kurogiri whispered to him as he woke up during the fight and decided to take this chance to escape while everyone was distracted by All Might's arrival.
"All Might's here which means you damn villains are done fo- DAMNIT DID THEY GO!" Bakugo yelled pissed that he let them out of his sight.
"They're gone must've escaped with that warp villain while we were distracted by All Might. A rookie mistake we made that they took advantage of." Todoroki said calmly.
"But were you guys watching that fight between Kage and that monster I didn't know he was that manly!" Kirishima exclaimed.
"Yeah that bookworm's a damn monster." Bakugo admitted. I didn't even see that thing's fist coming towards me and the bookworm somehow pushed me and blocked it. Is that how far we are apart in power? How the hell did he get that strong?!
All Might quickly dispatched all the cannon fodder villains who were in his way in a split second before converging to the center of USJ where it was clear the most fighting occurred.
"Young Kage… I'm sorry I was too late, and you had to take the burden of fighting. Students what happened here?" All Might asked Todoroki, Bakugo, and Kirishima.
"You just missed it All Might sensei. Kage fought this monster the villains brought here by himself it was incredibly strong apparently, they described it as a monster specifically built to fight you. Also the bosses of the operation we unfortunately let them escape while we were looking at your entrance sorry." Todoroki explained.
A monster made to fight me meaning its quirks probably were a direct counter to One for All and Kage you still fought and defeated it I'm proud of the hero you're turning into thank you. But who has the knowledge of creating a villain who can fight me? There's only one villain who could- NO I killed him there's no way that's possible. I'll need to investigate this further.
"Is that so? Thank you, students, and don't worry about the main villains escaping I'm just glad you're all still safe. In the meanwhile, head to the entrance. I'll handle all of the villains in the other areas if needed the other teachers should be here soon." All Might instructed.
Soon all the other teachers along with Iida arrived looking rather pissed about their students being attacked. They quickly dispatched of all the cannon fodder villain with ease and escorted all the students to safety. The USJ incident had finally ended with the only major injuries being with Izuku.
League of Villains Bar
"That…THAT DAMN CHEATING BRAT SENSEI YOU WERE WRONG NOT ONLY DID NOUMU LOSE BUT HE DIDN'T EVEN LOSE TO ALL MIGHT HE LOST TO A BRAT!" Shigaraki exclaimed demanding answers.
"Really describe this child to me Shigaraki."
"He was this brat that was in good physical shape he clearly had muscles under his P.E uniform and he had this curly green hair. But, even so how could he defeat Noumu?!"
"What was his quirk?" The mysterious figure asked.
"He had this sword made of energy that was able to cut Noumu but in the end he fought him with his bare hands!"
"Bare hands. Very interesting. Worry not Shigaraki we have learned much from this experience defeat is the greatest teacher there is always remember that Shigaraki. Now we'll hang back for now and regather our resources but worry not Shigaraki we will strike back. The mysterious figure announced before signing off the TV turning off afterwards.
"I swear one day I will kill that Brat!" Shigaraki exclaimed.
Meanwhile, the mysterious figure that was speaking with Shigaraki was laughing at the new developments he learned of. "A green haired child who fought the Noumu by himself? AHAHAHAHA INTERESTING INDEED Hisashi have you finally begun to move again?"
Ooooooo new developments indeed! Well next up is the sports festival which I'm pumped to start writing but I honestly was listening to You Say Run and a bunch of anime OPs while writing the fight and it got me super hype LOL.
