Once Christmas was very much over people started to get back into the swing of things. One morning Harry, Hermione and Ron were sitting at the Gryffindor table eating breakfast when they were disturbed by a fluttering of wings above their heads. The golden trio looked up slightly to see Hedwig gliding down to them with letter in hand. "Thanks girl" chimed Harry.

Getting too inquisitive for her liking Hermione spoke up. "What does it say Harry?"

"It Hagrid inviting Aries and me for tea, he says he wants to give us something"

"That's nice, though you may have to ask Aries before you respond" she said as she glanced over at the lonely boy in green sitting by himself with no one with it four metres of him. 'That poor boy' thought Hermione.

'What a bloody tosser' thought Ron 'I bet this is all just an act he puts on to get the girls'

"I'll be back, I'm going to ask my brother about it" as Harry walked to the only person he considered family, a thought struck him 'Aries stared at Hagrid a few weeks back.' Harry was brought out of his musings as he arrived at his destination. "Oi screaming banshee!"

"You're Never going to let me live down the only time I sang?" Aries responded

"Nope. Hagrid invited us to have tea, wanna go?"

Aries mulled the idea over in his head for a bit before answering "Yeah sure, I'm down for I nice cup of tea"

"Great! I'll send the letter to him" with that Harry walked off back to his two friends

After the trip to Hagrid's hut the two brothers came strolling back with a flute and the knowledge that the three headed dog Fluffy falls asleep to music. Armed with that knowledge, they sprinted back to the castle to tell the bushy one and ginger pubes. As they slowed their run, they ran into none other than the spoilt git Draco Malfoy.

"POTTAH! What are you and your traitor of a brother doing around here?" the smirk that aligned itself with his face was toe-curling and nose scrunching worthy.

"Nothing for you to be concerned about" Harry remarked back with a bite to his words. This turned Malfoys smirk into a scowl.

"I don't care what it is you were doing; I do have the right however to any and all information"

This time it was Aries who spoke up. "Says who? Your daddy dearest?"

Malfoy went red at that remark and yelled "MY DADDY, CRAP, FATHER WILL HEAR ABOUT THIS!" stalking off and walking in the general direction of the owlery.

By dinner time the four stooges had come up with a plan to get the philosophers stone, because all the while the two Potters were with Hagrid, Hermione was in the library looking for possible thing that could be guarded.

After dinner was finished and everyone were in their common rooms, Harry, Ron and Hermione were quietly waiting out the night, silently hoping that people would start to filter out of the common room and into their designated dorms.

Around the time of twelve thirty, everyone was in their dorms sleeping. Harry, Hermione and Ron were just about to walk out of the common room when a familiar face jumped out stopping them. " I know what your doing, and I'm not going to let you, Gryffindor's already suffered the loss of too many points because of you. I-I'll fight you."

Hermione was the one to speak next, "Neville I'm really sorry about this." She said as she raised her wand. "Petrificus Totalus!" A pale blue jet shot out the end hitting Neville making his arms snap to his sides and stand ridge. He eventually fell over face first with a resounding smack.

As the three Gryffindor's stepped through the portrait hole, they saw the subtle outline of Aries leaning against a nearby wall. "What took you so long?" He spoke in hushed tones.

"Complications" said Ron.

They all got under the cloak and as quickly and quietly as humanly possible got to the third floor corridor. Opening the door, they noticed that the dog was already asleep and the paw was on top of the trap door. Taking out his wand Aries muttered 'Wingardium Leviosa' and floating the paw to the side so the three of them could get down the trap door.

Harry spoke now "Okay when we get down there, Snape would have already been down there. Once we're there we will have to make sure we get there as fast as possible."

They all jumped down the hole just as the music stopped and the three headed dog started to come too. When they landed, they were cushioned by a spongy substance. Using their wand they lit up the dark room to see inky black vines slowly creeping towards them. Remembering back to her herbology class, Hermione lit them on fire effectively freeing the three boys and herself.

"What was that?" asked Ron

"Devils snare" came the other three voices. After that minor interruption, they continued onwards.

They eventually reached a door and opened it. Inside was a broom, dozens of small birds and a big door with a lock on it on the other side of the room. Going over to the door they tried to open it.

"Its locked, how are we meant to get through?" asked Ron

"Maybe those things up there have something to do with it?" Harry said pointing towards the bird like things.

"Why don't you try" stated Hermione, receiving two other nods of agree from Aries and Ron. With that, Harry walked over to the broom taking hold of it and mounting it. Almost immediately to the touch, the flying things kicked into over drive.

Harry flew up and tried grabbing something. "They're not birds! They're keys! What does the lock look like!" Harry yelled down

"Kind of old and rusted, rather large!" Ron yelled back.

It took a total of three minutes for Harry eventually find and catch a key that fit the lock but eventually he came down with a big, rusted key. Unlocking the door, walking into the next room with an unconscious troll, they quietly walked around it moving into the next room again. When they looked in, they found a giant chess set with four pieces missing; the king, bishop, knight and rook. Harry took the place of king, Hermione took the bishop, Ron took the knight and Aries took the rook. The game was long and tedious, each move directed by Ron, who in the end sacrificed himself so Aries could check mate the opposing king.

Once the game was through, they set Ron off to the side and progressed to the next room where there was a line of potions, each a different colour and two fires at the entrance and exit. On the shelf where the potion was held was a riddle that told the remaining three that on potion would let them move forward, another would let them move back and the rest would kill them. Hermione stood on the spot staring at it until she handed Harry a bottle with half of the amber liquid left. Chugging out down he went through the flames. Hermione and Aries each drank half and walked back.

As Harry stepped through the flames, he caught sight of the mirror of Erised. Harry remembered that Dumbledore told him it shows the user their deepest desire. He also remembered that his was to have his parents and family back while Aries' was freedom. Walking further into the room Harry saw professor Quirrell. The rest of the time Harry was down there was a blur, he somehow got the stone, Voldemort was attached to the back of Quirrell's head and couldn't touch him because of his mother's sacrifice. After Harry awoke from passing out, he awoke in the hospital wing where Aries sat beside him.

"Your awake!" Aries said, perking up slightly. "You've been out for two weeks"

"Really?" but just as Aries was going to reply to Harry the hospital doors swung open to reveal none other than Albus Dumbledore.

"Ah, the young Potters, should've known better than to think either of you would be anywhere else."

Harry fully sat up at his arrival and asked a simple question "Professor, what happened?"

To Dumbledore's old mind, this simple question had multiple answers but he settled for the obvious one. "the stone was retrieved and destroyed, Quirrell was killed down there by your touch. And do not worry about Mr. Weasley, he is perfectly fine, same as Miss. Granger and your brother." At these words, Harry visibly relaxed a bit.

For the remainder of the time at Hogwarts, the four friends went about like nothing happened. Eventually the end of the year came and it was time for the house cup to be awarded. Slytherin were in the lead while Gryffindor was dead last.

"I would like to award some final points" announced Dumbledore "To Ronald Weasley, for the best played game of chess Hogwarts has seen in many years, fifty points. To Hermione Granger, for a cool use of intellect and wit under pressure, I award fifty points. To Harry Potter, for the courage to overcome any challenge, fifty points. And finally, to Neville longbottom, it takes a great deal of strength to stand up to one's enemies, but an even greater deal to stand up to one's friends, for that I award fifteen points. Now if my calculations are correct, I believe some redecorations are in order." As soon as he waved his hand the green and silver snakes that lined the wall all turned into the red and gold lion.

Cheers reverberate off the walls and shook the great hall to the very core. Students and teachers alike were celebrating.

Everyone except the Slytherins and Snape were celebrating, Aries looked ticked off at Dumbledore and Harry could only guess it was because he didn't award him any points despite him being there and helping them, while he awarded Neville points for saying no.

As the celebration came to a close, it was time for bed. Everyone exited out of the hall and went to bed, all except Aries. He walked up to the head table and asked to meet Dumbledore in his office. Once the two of them sat there, Dumbledore began "I am well aware of why we are here and I will just say I am sorry for overlooking you."

"I forgive you"

"But now we are here, I would like to tell you about the wand that you now have. It is of course a deathly hallow of the fabled tale the three brothers. You and your brother alone now hold two; the cloak of invisibility and the wand." Dumbledore paused to let this sink in "The wand is very sought after and Voldemort will stop at nothing to obtain it, once he learns of his existence." Dumbledore didn't even get to finish his sentence before Aries had snapped the wand in not two but four pieces. The professor sat there shocked and speechless, just staring at the bit of what was once his wand and countless before that.

That's when Aries stood up moved to the door and said over his shoulder. "I'll be needing a new wand." And left leaving a dumbfounded Dumbledore.
