Let me know what you think!

"This is a real fancy thing, huh?" Erin picked up a bottle of champagne that was chilling in a bucket of ice in the back of the car that had picked them up, "Champagne and everything?"

Jay chuckled. "Well, it's a fancy thing, but I'm not sure how everyone else is getting there."

"Jay! You did this just for us?" She looked at her partner incredulously as he grinned cheekily, "Wait. Are you getting honored at this thing and you didn't tell me? I swear to God, Halstead if you didn't tell me-"

"No, no, nothing like that," he reassured her, "It's totally Hank's evening, but I know a guy who said he had a guy who could drop us a block from the event so we don't draw attention." He wiggled his eyebrows, "Thought it would be more fun for us to not have to think about driving home. More room for activities."

"Activities, sure," Erin rolled her eyes when he took the bottle of champagne from her hands and popped the cork, "I have to say, this may be one of the more creative ways you've tried to take my pants off. And I'm not even wearing pants tonight."

"I meant drinking activities, babe. Mind out of the gutter," he chastised jokingly, pouring the champagne into a flute. She rolled her eyes again. "Though I wouldn't say no-"

"I would," Erin shot back, "Took me the better part of an hour to get this dress on and I don't think putting it back on in the back of a limo is a great look. Piper had to lint roll me and everything."

He chuckled again and held out a glass to his partner. "I honestly thought it would just be more fun to sit closer to you," he said, wrapping one arm around her back, "Can't do this when I'm behind the wheel."

"When I'm behind the wheel," she corrected him, "And I'm beginning to think you did this just because you didn't want to show up in the passenger seat."

"Guilty." Jay raised his glass to Erin's and clinked gently.

"You are too much," she teased after a sip, "This is pretty special though, babe. I like the idea of getting dropped off around the corner, because otherwise Ruzek's gonna corner you for a ride home."

Erin leaned against the table, listening to Kim Burgess's story about a recent bust. It was weird to be in a room full of her old co-workers, but it helped to have Jay on her arm. They'd entered together before Kim started talking and Jay got pulled into another conversation. She cast as smile in his direction as he leaned against the open bar across the room, listening to one of the sergeants from Narcotics delve into details of their current assignment.

"Erin Lindsay, as I live and breathe, is that you?"

She turned to meet the source of the voice and resisted the urge to groan. Detective Dave Smith out of Narcotics was an absolute douche, and he'd had a thing for Erin since they first met back in the academy. She'd always brushed off his advances but whenever she had to interact with him she found her skin crawling.

"Dave," she greeted cordially, "You remember Officer Kim Burgess from Intelligence, right?"

"Mm, the unit that always got the hot ones," Smith quipped, "I have to say, you look mighty fine tonight. Phew." His eyes traveled down her body and back up, "Is it true you're with the FBI now?"

"Yes I am, thank you," she replied curtly, "Have a good evening." Erin turned back to Kim, intent on ignoring the jerk who had so rudely interrupted their conversation.

"Wow, way to shut a guy down." He clicked his teeth, eyes trained on her body, "And here I thought we were having a nice conversation."

Erin and Kim exchanged glances. "We weren't having a conversation," she said, "You appear to be having a one-sided conversation with my chest. And if you don't mind, I'd like to return to the actual conversation I was having with my friend."

"Halstead," Atwater leaned in closer to the detective as he listening to the sergeant's story, "Might need to go rescue your lady from Dave the douche."

Jay raised his eyebrows and followed his teammate's eyeline to his girlfriend, holding an agitated stance in front of another man. He could tell from across the room that the guy was plastered by the way he swayed slightly. He could also tell that his girl was pissed.

He handed his tumbler to Atwater before making a beeline across the crowded room, just in time to overhear the tail end of Detective Smith's sentence and to witness him put a hand on his girl's hip. "C'mon Lindsay, you can't come here after a year with an ass like that and shoot me down for a dance."

Erin swatted his hand away. "Don't touch me," she gritted out, "Like I already told you, I'm here with my boyfriend."

"Take a hike," Kim said firmly, catching sight of Jay moving across the room as quickly as he could, "Or you'll regret it."

"Oh, what are you going to do? Sick your big, strong boyfriend on me?" Smith taunted, putting his hand back on her hip. "I'm not afraid of you, honey."

"You touch me again, I'll break your fucking finger myself," Erin growled.

"Hey!" Jay shouted, smoke practically coming out of his ears. He pushed Smith aside, "What the hell do you think you're doing?"

Smith rolled his eyes. "Relax, Halstead, I'm not trying to fuck your bitch, especially not some washed-up junkie."

"Jay," Erin grabbed her partner's arm quickly as she watched his eyes darken and his arm recoil to punch the offending jerk in their midst, "He's not worth it. Not here, anyway."

"You're right, he's not," Jay managed, taking a breath, "Don't you ever speak to my girlfriend like that again, or it will be the last thing you fucking do."

"Get out of here, Smith." The sergeant who Jay had been speaking with by the bar had migrated over, and overheard the words from his detective's mouth, "You're done for the evening. My office on Monday, first thing."

Jay relaxed ever so slightly as Smith turned for the exit. "Thanks, Sarge," he said after clearing his throat. He wasn't above punching out another detective, especially one who was mouthing off to his girl, but it wasn't a good look. Thankfully, the sergeant had heard everything.

"Enjoy your evening," he replied, "Nice to meet you, Ms. Lindsay."

Erin gave a grateful smile. "I'm fine," she said before Jay could even ask, "Thanks for coming to my rescue."

Jay blew out a breath. "I hate that fucking guy," he muttered, "Should laid him out anyway."

She shook her head. "Not with all your bosses here. It's fine, I'm not hurt, and he's going to get it on Monday anyway. Let's try to have fun, babe." She stroked his chest lightly, "There's an open bar and we're not driving tonight. And that douchebag's gone. Try to relax, okay?"

He nodded and tucked some of her loose hair behind her ear. "I just don't like seeing anyone make my girl uncomfortable."

"Your girl, huh?" Erin gave a cheeky smile and adjusted his jacket, "Since when are you so possessive, Halstead?"

"Since I decided I wasn't ever letting you go," he said simply, leaning down to kiss her lips gently, "My angel, forever."

She grinned. "I'm no angel, Jay. I'm about to drink you under the table tonight."

"My feet hurt like hell," Erin complained as she ungracefully slid in next to her partner in the back of the car, "Heels and I have never gotten along."

Once Detective Smith left the event, Jay relaxed considerably. He'd forgotten just how much fun it could be to be Erin Lindsay's boyfriend, because having his girl on his arm quite literally made him the envy of every man at the gala. His girl was radiant, and he was the luckiest man in Chicago.

"You wear 'em every day to work now," Jay slurred slightly, feeling the dubious amounts of whisky he'd consumed at the open bar. After Hank's award was given, Ruzek put him up to ordering the most expensive whisky on the menu. With his girl back on his arm, Jay was no longer drinking to numb the pain like he was a year ago – instead, it was a celebration of all they'd gotten through to get to that point. Erin had kept a hand on him throughout the entire evening, balancing her own glass of whisky in between stealing kisses from her boyfriend when she knew her father figure wasn't looking.

Several rounds and toasts later, Jay was tipsy. Scratch that, he was more than tipsy. He was warm and happy and really looking forward to going home with his girlfriend, who was equally as tipsy as he was. While he'd frequently sought comfort in the bottom of a bottle during their year apart, Erin hadn't done so as regularly. The whisky was hitting her harder, and with each glass he could feel her slender fingers edge further down his body, taunting him.

"I only wear the heels 'cause I gotta look taller with all the men I work with," she scoffed, draping both bare legs over his thigh in the backseat, "Don't want anyone to look at me like a helpless little girl."

"I don't think anyone could ever look at you like a helpless little girl," he replied, pulling her closer against him. "You're a frickin' badass, babe. The Federal Bureau of Investigation. That's some big-league shit right there." He hiccupped and offered a boyish grin.

"Mm," she murmured, her fingers dancing up the buttons on his shirt, "Is it bad that I found it incredibly hot that my detective boyfriend was ready to punch out another cop for comin' onto me?"

"I'd punch out anyone for coming onto you," he said, his voice edging on a growl, "Nobody's coming near my girls. That goes for you, and for Pipes."

Erin snorted. "Piper is going to grow up sometime, babe. Soon enough she'll be going on dates and learning to drive and-"

"Stop," he whined, putting his hands over his ears dramatically, "I can't think about stuff like that. Makes me want to hurl. And stop time. But mostly hurl."

She giggled. "You gonna pull a Hank and stand at the door with a shotgun?"

"And my Glock," he said dryly, "Maybe we should get a dog too. A big one."

"You've still got some time." Erin dragged her fingers through his hair, "She's still only nine. And the size of a seven year old."

"Will said she had half a slice of pizza tonight, which is honestly more than I thought she'd manage without us," Jay said, pulling out his phone to show Erin the text messages of reassurance from his brother. Jay tried his best to focus on the party itself, but he kept thinking about his little friend and couldn't resist sending a few check-in texts to Will. His brother had replied to each message quickly, but stopped after his final text which told his brother to stop worrying and enjoy the festivities. "Will gave her some ice cream too. Truth be told, I think she eats more when you cook, babe."

"Probably because she feels bad for me," Erin joked, "I have been getting better though."

"Mm-hm. That soup last week when Pipes and I had the flu was damn near magical," he informed her, "And the lasagna last weekend? Delicious."

Erin beamed and kissed his neck gently. "Is it a sign that we're old that you complimenting my cooking turns me on?"

"We're not old," he assured her, returning the kiss gently, "Mm. You taste like…whisky."

"So do you," she retorted, "Expensive whisky. The kind we drink when someone else is paying."

Jay frowned slightly and pulled out a box of mints from his suit pocket. "I don't want Pipes to smell the alcohol on me when we get home," he said, passing a mint to his partner as well, "She uh, mentioned once that Donny or one of the guys who wasn't good always smelled like that stuff I use to polish the tables. The stuff that smells like cheap whisky. I uh, just don't want to freak her out if she's up."

Erin swallowed and popped the mint in her mouth. Jay was right – there were certain smells that could instantly make her blood run cold, and for her, it was the smell of menthol cigarettes that were the worst. She didn't doubt that Piper's association with cheap whisky was bad, and she was so glad Jay had thought about it. "You're such a good dad," she whispered, minty breath on his neck, "Sometimes I think you love her more than me."

"Babe," Jay shook his head, "I love her like a kid. I love you like the love of my freakin' life, Er." He offered a lopsided smile as she looked up at him intently. "I love your nose. And your voice. And the way you call me babe." He grinned wider as she listened. "I love how effortlessly sexy you are. I love you in the morning when you're grumpy and at night when you're cuddly." Jay threaded his fingers through the back of her hair, "I love watching you love your sister. I love watching you prove everyone wrong about any preconceived notion they may have about you. And I love that you make me want to be a better man."

He glanced down when he felt a tear drop on his neck. Jay kissed the tip of her nose lightly. "I guess what I'm saying is that I love everything about you, Erin Lindsay."

Erin managed a watery smile and cuddled in closer. "I can't believe I get you," she whispered, "The love of my freakin' life."

Jay chuckled. "I guess we can thank Piper for that, huh?"

She nodded. "I can't believe I get her," Erin choked out, "And that she gets you too." She snaked a hand beneath Jay's dress shirt to rest on his stomach, craving the warmth of her partner's bare skin. "Every time I see you guys together my heart aches." Her voice wavered. "Part of me wishes that I had that too, when I was her age. With Hank, uh, I was older. Too much had happened, I was…I think I was too afraid. I didn't know what it meant to have someone be gentle with me." Erin drew in a breath, "I um, I think you're the only guy who's ever really shown me that. It's one of the many reasons why I love you."

He kissed her lips carefully. He knew his girl had it rough growing up from a financial, emotional, physical perspective – but to hear that he was the first to truly meet the need she'd been craving her whole life simultaneously broke and filled his heart.

Jay was quiet for a few moments, continuing to run his fingers across his partner's back. "So what else do you love about me?" he asked cheekily, "I gave you like ten reasons."

Erin rolled her eyes. "Hmm. Well for starters, I love these." She ran her fingers across the defined abs on her boyfriend's bare stomach, giggling as she felt his stomach rumble with laughter. "I think that's six right there. I love that mouth. And those eyes." She moved her hand from his stomach to his cheeks to give them a good squeeze. "I love these too." Erin stroked his biceps. "That's eleven reasons why I love you, babe."

"Ah, so you admit you only love me for my hot bod, huh?" Jay teased, "I should be offended."

"Please. Your eyes pretty much bugged out of your head when you saw me this evening," Erin retorted, "Thank god Piper was there to keep you upright."

"Mm, I am glad she was there, because otherwise you would have had to find another outfit," Jay replied, tugging gently at the seam of the material that was currently hugging his girlfriend's behind, "Woulda torn this clean off."

"Hey you two," Will greeted, glancing over from the couch, Piper asleep on his shoulder, "Jay Halstead, I can tell from here that you're sloshed."

Erin giggled, supporting her partner as she stumbled into the house beside him. "Are not," she said, trying to sound as sober as possible but was undercut by the second giggle that escaped her lips when Jay hiccupped. "How'd Piper do?"

"Good. Cracked open a few beers, showed her how to make a Tinder profile, got a few dates set up-"

"Don't even joke about that, man," Jay bemoaned, "She's nine."

"We watched the Blackhawks win in overtime and had pizza and ice cream," Will informed them, "Half a slice of pizza, one scoop of ice cream, asleep by ten after two Jay stories and four promises that you two would be home soon. Only catch was that she didn't want to go to bed, so I let her fall asleep out here and figured I'd let the two of you bring her to bed."

Erin let out a breath. Based on Will's recollection, her sister had been perfectly fine. "She's exhausted," Will continued, "I don't think you need to be too worried, but in the next week or so I'd bring her by Med for a quick blood draw. Might need to up the iron."

Jay nodded, his brother's comment somewhat sobering him up. Will narrowed his gaze. "I can bring her up to bed if you guys want to say good night down here? Might do you some good to drink some clear liquids and eat some carbs." He paused. "Er, you also might want to turn your dress around. You've got it on backwards, unless the zipper's in front this time."

Both Erin and Jay's cheeks turned bright red as Will laughed. "I don't want to know," he said, putting a hand over Piper's ears as she continued to sleep, "But this one is smart, and she's going to ask questions."

"There was whisky," Jay told his brother, shrugging off his jacket and draping it over Erin's shoulders to hide the fact that her dress was indeed on backwards, "And very little food for a dinner."

"I for one, am glad you guys had fun," Will said, "The two of you have been doing the parenting thing for months. You deserve a night out."

Erin gave a grateful smile as Will carefully boosted her little sister into his arms. "I wanna wait for Erin and Jay," Piper mumbled against his shoulder, small voice dripping with exhaustion, "I don't wanna go up yet."

"They're back, munchkin," Will said, "See?"

"Hi Noodle," Erin greeted, running her fingers atop Piper's head, "Did you have a good time with Will?"

"Uh-huh," Piper nodded, exhaling in relief when she saw her sister and Jay. "Did you and Jay have fun?"

"We did." Jay wrapped one arm around Erin's shoulder, "It was a busy evening, and we didn't get to eat too much, so I was going to heat us up some leftover pizza. Are you okay if Will brings you up to bed, and we'll be in to check on you soon?"

Piper nodded again. "He's sillier than you," she whispered, earning a chuckle from the doctor, "And he's got lots of Jay stories, but I bet you got a bunch of Will stories."

"Don't I ever," Jay smirked, "Tomorrow night, the most embarrassing Will stories are coming up."

"Why is it so bright in here?" Erin whined, covering her face with the pillow after she rolled over, "Turn off the lights, babe."

"Lights are off," he muttered back, dragging a hand over his face, "It's just almost nine and it happens to be an incredibly sunny day."

"Why couldn't the sun be hungover too?" she bemoaned, "I haven't had that much to drink in ages."

Jay grunted, "Can't say that I haven't, but whatever shots Ruzek gave us at the end pushed me over a cliff."

"It was a really fun night," Erin pulled back the pillow, "But at what cost?" She stopped. "You said it was almost nine? Piper's probably up and confused at why we're still in bed, I can't be like Bunny, I can't-"

"Woah, woah," Jay put a hand out to stop Erin as she attempted to scramble out of bed, "Don't worry, okay? You're not Bunny, babe."

"Bunny was always too hungover to take care of me," she whispered shamefully, "She'd sleep til four in the afternoon and leave Teddy and me to fend for ourselves and I don't want Piper to feel like that."

"It's not even nine," he repeated, "She was up late, she's probably still asleep." He shuffled the sheets, "I'll make us some coffee. Don't worry. You're not your mom, okay?"

Erin let out a breath and nodded. "I'll check on her," she decided, grimacing as she vacated the bed, "I promised we'd make French toast today too."

She gently pushed open Piper's bedroom door, hoping to find her little sister still snoozing away after staying up later than normal. Erin let out a breath of relief when she caught sight of Piper burrowed beneath the comforter, sleeping soundly. She brought a hand to her forehead – her head was pounding, but she couldn't be like Bunny. When she found out about Piper, she swore up and down to herself that she wouldn't be anything like her mother. She never wanted to be the parent that couldn't take care of the child. Piper didn't deserve that.

"Erin?" Piper mumbled groggily, lifting her head to meet her sister's gaze, "What's wrong?"

"Hi Noodle. I didn't mean to wake you up, sweetheart." Erin immediately felt guilty, "Just wanted to make sure you were still sleeping."

Piper pushed herself up slightly to regard her sister curiously. "Are you okay?"

"Me? I'm fine," Erin forced a smile, "Do I not look okay?"

Piper shook her head. "No offense, but you don't look so good."

"I guess I didn't really sleep all that well," she tried, wishing she'd actually taken a look in the mirror before going to check on her sister, "Nothing some coffee won't fix."

"You might need a nap too," Piper offered, climbing off her bed, "Maybe I can make the French toast mixture while you drink the coffee?"

Erin chuckled and kissed the top of her sister's head. "That sounds good to me. Thanks Noodle."

"Jay looks worse than you," Piper remarked as they headed down the steps. The detective was standing in front of the coffee machine, shirtless, watching the brown liquid drip into the pot intently. "What did you guys do last night?"

"A lotta talking," Erin managed, "We were up late."

"You coulda slept in more," she said knowingly, "Jay always lets you sleep later on Saturdays."

"Mm," Erin murmured, "I was craving coffee though. Almost ready, babe?"

"It's moving slowly," he said with a yawn, "Forgot to set it last night." He flashed a smile to his little friend, "Did you have a good sleep, kiddo?"

Piper nodded. "Me and Will watched the Blackhawks win last night," she said seriously, "And I got to stay up late. But not as late as you guys."

Jay exchanged a look with Erin. "You look worse than I do," she remarked, stretching slightly, "And-"

She was cut off by knocking at their front door. Both Jay and Erin grimaced at the noise, and Piper instinctively backed away from the door and reached for Erin's hand. "It's Will," a voice called from the other side, "It's freezing, let me in!"

Jay furrowed his brow, confused as to why his brother would be at their place without notice. "I didn't text him," Erin said, squeezing Piper's hand gently to assure her that she was safe, "Maybe he forgot something."

"Well you look terrible," Will said by way of greeting after Jay cracked the door open, "Rough morning?"

Jay grunted and pulled open the door wider for his brother. "Forget something?"

"I was in the neighborhood," he shrugged and flashed a smile at Piper and Erin, "Hey guys. You had breakfast yet?"

"You came back for breakfast?" Piper asked, smile spreading on her lips, "Are you gonna tell more Jay stories?"

"I might even have some Erin stories," he said teasingly, "But actually, I was in the area and was thinking about how I had such a good time with my favorite munchkin here last night, so I thought it would be fun for us to go to my favorite breakfast spot to pick up some of the French toast I told her about yesterday." Will wiggled his eyebrows at Piper, who's eyes had lit up in excitement. "Only hitch is that I need to borrow her for about an hour. We'd be super safe and back soon, but the only table they had was for two."

"Really?" Piper was floored, "We could get the special French toast?"

"Oh yeah," Will grinned, "And maybe, if Jay and Erin are lucky, we can bring them back some too. What do you say, munchkin? You wanna have some breakfast with me while these old people tough it out with some dry toast in the meantime?"

Piper looked up at Erin, unsure of what to say. "Wow," Erin mused, offering a grateful smile to her boyfriend's brother, "That French toast sounds really good to me Noodle."

"No pressure or anything," Will assured her, "But I was hungry, and I thought I'd offer."

Jay winced when the coffee machine beeped. He immediately grabbed the pot and poured the steaming liquid into two mugs. "What do you think?" Erin turned to Piper, "You up for some breakfast with Will?"

Piper glanced to Jay, then back to Erin before turning to Will. "Yes please," she said shyly, "I can get changed super quick."

"Thanks man," Jay said tiredly, taking a sip of the coffee and ignoring the singe on his tongue, "I uh, owe you one."

"I knew last night you'd need a few extra hours. Go sleep it off, bro," Will replied, "You guys look grey."

Erin snorted slightly and greedily drank from the glass of water Jay had left on the kitchen counter. "It's huge that she trusts you enough to agree to leaving with you," she said after swallowing, "I really appreciate it."

Will grinned when he saw the little girl emerge from upstairs. "Not a problem, guys. You ready, munchkin? We'll only be an hour, but we'll be back with some leftovers for Jay and Erin, if we don't eat it all."

"We gotta save them some French toast," Piper insisted as Jay helped her into her winter coat, "Since you ate all the pepperoni off the pizza last night."

"I was wondering where that went," Jay rolled his eyes when his brother feigned surprise, "Classic." He leaned down to kiss the top of Piper's head. "Have fun, kiddo. We'll see you in a bit, okay?"

"They both looked really tired this morning." Piper's soft voice floated past Jay's head as he slowly woke up, this time lying flat on his back on their living room couch, Erin fast asleep on his chest. "I guess they really needed a nap."

"I guess so," Will murmured back. "When we were kids, I used to wake Jay up by tossing water on his face. Want to see?"

"No," Piper exclaimed in a whisper, "You can't do that. They're sleeping."

"You are a much better sister to Erin than I was brother to Jay," Will remarked, "I woulda dosed him with a whole glass by now."

"You're an ass," Jay grumbled, dragging his eyes open to meet his brother's. Will was standing on the other end of the couch, peering down at him and Erin with Piper standing beside him. "Thanks for keeping us dry, Pipes."

Piper gave a small. "Well, you're not really dry. Erin's drooling on you."

He glanced down and chuckled. His girl always liked to deny that she drooled when sleeping soundly, but Jay knew it to be true, especially when she slept on her stomach. It was honestly incredibly endearing given how guarded she usually was, her features completely relaxed in sleep. "Told you," he said seriously, "She denies it, but it's true."

As if on cue, Erin let out a soft exhale and turned her head, cuddling further against her partner as she snoozed against him. "She's really sleepy," Piper whispered, "We should let her sleep." The little girl also stifled a yawn. "Thank you for breakfast, Will."

"You are super welcome, munchkin," Will beamed, "I'm on shift in an hour, so I better get going, but we'll do this again soon, sound good?"

Piper nodded. "You wanna do somethin' Pipes? Maybe we let Erin sleep a bit more and we could play some soccer downstairs?" Jay felt badly that he'd need to wake his girl in order to give his little friend the attention she deserved, but he didn't want Piper to feel like she was left on her own. The prospect of activity increased the pounding in his head but Jay would do anything for his little friend and wasn't about to let a hangover stop him.

"Erin's so comfy," she said softy, "Can I just come hang out with you guys?"

Jay grinned. She was impossibly adorable and clearly didn't want to wake her big sister either. "There's always room for you here," he said, opening an arm for Piper, "C'mere, kiddo." He couldn't stop smiling as Piper immediately cuddled in next to him and Erin on the couch. His big girl let out another content sigh, still fast asleep in the mid-morning warmth of her partner.

"I'll leave you lazy bones to it," Will quipped, "Piper, keep 'em in line."

Erin let out a yawn after clearing another email from her inbox. It had been the Mondayest Monday she'd ever had, still coming off the near two-day hangover from Friday's events. It was probably the only time she'd ever been grateful for the fact that Piper's low iron caused her to be more tired than the average nine year old, because the little girl was more than happy to snuggle up next to her and Jay on the couch and allow them both to sleep off the hangover.

"Hailey?" Erin answered her vibrating cell phone, slightly confused as to why Jay's partner would be calling her. She and Jay had exchanged texts two hours ago when he said their day was shaping up to be incredibly light, and that he'd be home early with Piper. "What's up? Is everything okay?"

"Hey, Erin," Hailey said slowly, "Jay and Piper are safe but uh, you should come home, right now. I'm with them."

"What?" Erin froze and turned away from her computer screen. "What's going on?"

"It's Jay," she said, keeping her voice low as she looked into the living room where Jay and Piper were seated on the couch, "I drove them back to your place. One of his friends from the rangers, O'Grady, he uh, killed himself last night. He found out like an hour ago. He…he really needs you, Erin."

"I'm on my way," she said quickly, standing from her desk and shoving her laptop into her briefcase, "Where's Piper?"

"She's sitting with him. It's helping," Hailey told her, "But I didn't think this should wait until later."

"Thank you. For calling me." Erin drew in deep breath, "I'm on my way. I should be home in fifteen minutes."

Eeeeek the start of the twistyness (with some sweetness of course)... Can't wait for you guys to see what's in store
