Preface: Hello again! Before we begin, I'd just like to thank you all for bringing this story up to 82 views! It's not as much as I was anticipating, but it's still a lot for a beginner! Also, my dad is currently away, so the next Back to the Future/Sonic story probably won't be up at all this week. I'll still make sure to get it up before my next endeavor, though! Anyways, onto the chapter!

CHAOS HAVEN

Previously…as they explored the strange world of Whisker Haven, Sonic, Tails, and their friends, including Ms. Featherbon, have went onto Little Planet, which can also travel to Whisker Haven, liberated both it and a kitten named Treasure, and have found a way onto the Death Egg Model S to stop Metal Sonic's plans.

Now…they prepare to properly explore the spaceship and put a stop to Metal's plans once and for all.

Chapter 7:
Beware the Egg Arm Robot!

The Death Egg Model S's main hallway was eerily quiet. One would expect at least one Badnik to be patrolling the area, but the only sound that was made was that of the rocket containing the heroes announcing their arrival.

The door opened and the group came tumbling out of the rocket. "That was not a pleasant experience!" cried Ray.

Sonic got up and dusted himself off. He sneered at the lack of Badniks. "Hmm, this is a little creepy. On Little Planet, this'd be expected, 'cause we got the Time Stones. But this seems more like Metal's leading us into a trap."

"I believe if he is," stated Ms. Featherbon, "we should simply give him what he wants. After all, that would bring us closer to him, right?"

"It does sound logical," added Vector. "Let's just start lookin' for him."

The group began to walk down the hallway. The reddish interior of the Death Egg Model S differed from the more grayish design of the first Death Egg. Still, not a single soul. But they could hear some sounds from below them.

"It almost sounds like cries of help," said Tails, once he pointed them out.

"It sounds like my friends," added Treasure. "We should go help them!"

"Nah, we should get Metal first," said Knuckles. "That way, he can't stop us!"

Just then, a rumble was heard. A giant robot crashed down, causing a strange tube to open up and suck Tails in.

"No, Tails!" cried Amy. "Where'd he go?"

[BGM: SEGA SOUND TEAM, Jun Senoue - BOSS BATTLE : DEATH EGG ROBOT]

"Oh, do not worry," everyone heard Metal Sonic say, "he's just gone down into the prison hall!"

Looking up, everyone saw that the robot had the body of the Death Egg Robot, two Egg Pistons for legs, the arms of the Big Arm Robot, and an Egg Mobile for a cockpit.

"Lemme guess," said Sonic, "original robot, do not steal."

"I call this the Egg Arm Robot," said Metal Sonic. "With the final contraptions of Master's three most iconic plans combined, I shall be unstoppable!"

The Egg Arm Robot jumped into the air and stretched its legs. Everyone quickly jumped out of the way.

"Stay out of the way, Ms. Featherbon," said Ray. "We'll handle this!"

While the others took care of the rest of the robot, the flying squirrel grabbed Treasure and flew up to the arms of the robot. "C'mon! We gotta unscrew these things!" he said. "That's the biggest thing!"

"Err, okay," said Treasure, nervously. She had never been so high up in such perilous conditions, but the thought of helping her friends convinced her to be brave.

Knuckles climbed up the wall and glided into the robot's body. With his spikes sticking in, he began to repeatedly punch it as Sonic performed several Spin Attacks. Suddenly, he heard a gentle voice say, "Don't hurt me!"

"Hey, I think someone's in here!" Knuckles said. Just then, the robot began to fly up into the air, causing Knuckles to be thrown off.

"Wait a minute, where's Espio?" cried Vector, as he caught his breath while taking care of the robot's legs.

Up in the air, Ray had unscrewed and detached one arm, but Metal Sonic was still in control of the other one. As Treasure was still struggling with her arm, Metal used the opportunity to grab her. "Uh, little help here?" she cried, struggling to break free.

"I shall help you," they heard Espio say. The chameleon suddenly appeared, reverting from his invisible state, and grabbed Metal Sonic.

"Nice going, man!" said Ray, giving a thumbs-up. The flying squirrel hopped off and glided over to the other. Beginning to release its grip on Treasure, Ray was sure to catch the kitten when she was released.

"Thank you," she said. She looked at Metal Sonic, who was still fighting with Espio when he pressed the button that caused the robot to slam back to the ground.

Espio was then thrown off. "Okay, it's time to pull out the bombs," shouted Metal Sonic. He pressed a button with a bomb icon, and the Death Egg Robot's signature Eggman-like bombs began to be shot out from the back.

"Ugh, no!" cried Ms. Featherbon, deciding to help. Although the heroes had dodged the bombs, she flew into one bomb's way and spun around, sending it flying back at Metal Sonic and stunning him.

At that moment, Ray had flown back down. "I'm ready," said Treasure, having told Ray to throw her at Metal up above. Ray threw her onto Metal Sonic's head and she began to wrangle with him.

"Ugh, get off of me, you brat!" gritted Metal Sonic.

"Now's our chance!" cried Sonic. Everyone began to attack the robot, the Chaotix dismantling the legs and Amy smashing a hole into the heart of the robot's body. Sonic finished the job with a Super Sonic Spin Attack through said hole, grabbing the puppy that was powering the robot and finishing it off.

[BGM: End]

Treasure climbed off of Metal Sonic, who stared at the ruins of the robot. "Okay, you may have bested me now," he said, "but we shall settle this soon. Meet me in the hub room." After that he flew away.

[BGM: Ilene Woods - A Wish is a Dream Your Heart Makes ("Cinderella") Instrumental]

Sonic set down the puppy he had freed from the robot. She was a white poodle who wore a tiara with a diamond in the middle. "Why, thank you for saving me," she said, softly. She shook Sonic's hand. "My name is Pumpkin."

Treasure ran up to Pumpkin and gave her a big hug. "I'm so glad to see you again," the kitten said.

Sonic smiled. "So you're the Pumpkin that wrote that letter. Thanks for that." At that moment, he heard a buzz come from his hammerspace area. Pulling out a walkie-talkie, he put it up to his ear.

"Sonic!" he heard Tails' voice say. "I'm so glad I reached you! I'm in this weird prison area, but I've teamed up with this tiger cub to try and get out."

"So you're okay?" asked Sonic.

"For now. Wait up for me!" Tails ended his call.

Sonic recounted what Tails had told him to the rest of the group. "Tiger cub?" repeated Treasure, once he finished. "That sounds like Sultan."

"He said to wait, right?" asked Charmy. "What are we gonna do 'til then?"

Mighty shrugged and sat down. "I probably should've brought my Game Gear."

"Well, I brought my Genesis Nomad," said Sonic. "Anyone wanna watch me play Road Rash 2?"

Even though he began to play one of his favorite games, Sonic was rather worried about what this would mean for Metal Sonic. Would he have more time now that they had to wait? Would Tails be okay? Who was this Sultan guy? It was a wonder he was able to focus on his game…

When Metal Sonic returned to the testing chamber, it was in complete shambles. Scratch and Grounder stood in front of the Master Emerald with grim looks on their faces. "What happened, you nincombots?" he said angrily.

"Well, let's just say the way we did test three was a little bit...how should we put it...unorthodox?" said Scratch.

"But we did get promising results," said Grounder. A Hyper Metal Sonic suddenly flew in, resembling Sonic's Super form, with a golden coloration and upturned quills.

"Perfect," said Metal Sonic. "We shall now begin test four immediately."

"Oh, by the way," said Scratch, rubbing the back of his head sheepishly, "we had a prison break. It was the tiger cub."

Next chapter: After being separated from the others, Tails must now embark on a "Prison Escapade!" Luckily, he's not alone - Sultan, the rambunctious pet tiger cub of Jasmine from Aladdin, has broken free and raring to bash up Badniks! But a certain band of 'bots are one step ahead of them… Fantastic quests continue as the story races towards its climax!

Postface: Chapter complete! This is the first of the three final battles of this story. I think I've said this before, but action scenes aren't exactly my forte, so criticize all you want.

Trivia time! The Egg Arm Robot is a combination of the Genesis games' final bosses: the legs are the Egg Pistons from Sonic 1, the arms are from Sonic 3's Big Arm, and the body is the Death Egg Robot from Sonic 2. I originally had Scratch and Grounder in the legs, but I removed that from the revised version, as well as an unseen B-plot of Knuckles and the Chaotix doing ballet with a Pumpkin-lookalike robot to save the real Pumpkin. I took them out because I thought it didn't male sense. I also had Sultan call out Treasure in an imagine spot, but I thought that was a little too OOC for her.
