Chapter 8: A Boy and a Girl
[Nobody's POV]
"So unfair you got to fight your first hollow already!" Eita whined childishly, as they walked up the stairs to the roof. Kat and Eita wanted to have lunch away from the normal kids so they could talk about last night.
"Eita, it wasn't that great anyways, it's not like I killed him, he killed himself." Kat muttered sympathetically, remembering back to last night.
"So, you actually got to fight one that's so unfair." He continued upset.
They walked onto the roof top and were surprised to see everyone up there. So much for the privacy they wanted and to make matters worse Ichigo and Rukia were up there too. Ichigo and Rukia looked at Kat seriously and then glance at Eita curiously.
"What's up with them?" Eita asked annoyed at the staring.
"They know about my shinigami powers. They are probably wondering if you know or have some too." Kat said shrugging and walked over to the group of boys greeting them happily.
Keigo fell to his knees, "Kat-chan thank you for gracing us with your beauty today for lunch!" he exclaimed happily.
Kat chuckled shyly, "Uh, you are welcome." Kat said flustered.
Kat looked at Sado who was feeding a cute little white parakeet.
"Oh, that's a beautiful bird." she whispered amazed and kneeled beside the cage.
Kat gasped surprise when the bird started to talk and realized it was a soul. There was a soul trap in the bird. She glanced at Rukia and Ichigo realizing they already knew and would take care of it. Kat stood back up standing beside Eita who looked at the bird sternly.
"That bird…" He whispered.
"Yeah, but it seems Ichigo and Rukia have it under control." Kat whispered back taking a bite from her sandwich Tessai had packed for her lunch.
"Why do they get all the fun?" Eita pouted annoyed.
"You are more than welcome to help them. I can't today, it's my turn to work the register at the Shop." Kat explained bored.
She glanced at how close Ichigo and Rukia seem to be and felt that familiar stinging pain in her stomach again. What was that feeling? She thought.
"Shocking that you don't want to stalk Kurosaki today." Eita snickered.
"I don't stalk Ichigo." Kat growled annoyed.
"Sure you don't" He replied back tauntingly. "Anyways, tell Kisuke I'll be out late today. Going to stalk those two for you and I'll let you know if they do anything naughty." He added slyly.
Kat's face flushed at the thought and glared at Eita smacking him with her sandwich right on the face. Eita fell backwards with a loud yelp and then just laughed after his fluster friend who decided to have lunch with the girls after all.
[Next Day]
Eita laid down on a tree staring at the passing clouds when he suddenly felt the same hollow from last night appear again. Eita slowly sat up trying to pinpoint the hollow wishing Kat was with him since she had better control of sensing then him.
"I think it's that way." Eita muttered happily.
Eita flash stepped towards the direction he felt the intense spiritual force of the hollow and what seem like Rukia's weak one. As Eita approached the area he could hear the hollow speaking to Rukia.
"Oh I've seen that before, it's a shinigami trick." The hollow laughed sinisterly.
Eita watched Rukia use a Kido spell. He remembered it from the book Kisuke had given Kat and him regarding Kido spells and their chants.
"Then how about mine?" Eita said arriving just in the nick of time, he extended his hand out, "Hado #33: Sokatsui!" Having already chanted the spell beforehand.
Blue flames discharge from his palm, generating a torrent of blue energy. The wave of energy move towards the hollow blasting it back.
The hollow scream angrily and stumble back. Eita landed in front of Rukia and grinned at her.
"Looks like you can use some help sweetheart."
"You." Rukia gasped surprised.
"You bastard!" The hollow screamed.
The hollow suddenly jumped into the air as a pair of wings grew out from his arms.
"You fool! You can't win! Run!" Rukia screamed concern.
"New kid, what happened to that the sickly sweet voice of yours?" Eita taunted her knowing the truth behind her façade.
Rukia made a huh noise and then turned bright with embarrassment at being caught on her lie.
"It's alright I like this voice better sweetheart." Eita winked at Rukia who stared at him mouth wide open.
'This guy seems tougher than the girl and other guy.' The hollow thought angrily eyeing Eita.
Suddenly Sado showed up and stared at Eita and Rukia confuse.
"Eita you can see ghosts?" He asked surprised.
"You fools! I got you now!" The hollow screamed.
Small little versions of the hollow jumped out from behind the wall grabbing ahold of everyone and knocking them to the ground.
"What the fuck." Eita cursed annoyed trying to break free from the smaller hollows' grip.
"Did you actually think I was alone you idiots?!" He yelled laughing like a mad man.
Eita turned to Chad when he suddenly hear him yelling as he effortlessly broke free from the smaller hollows. Eita stared amazed as did Rukia. Rukia couldn't believe that Chad was able to break free.
"Hey Chad kick above us!" Eita yelled at his strong friend.
Chad kicked above him breaking him free from the hollow's grip.
"That's it I've had it with this bastard." Eita growled angrily pulling out his pack of gum.
Pushing the top button his zanpakuto form.
"Impossible." Rukia gasped.
"Stand back sweetheart, Chad I got this." Eita said confidently.
Eita ran forward taking a jump start into the air.
"Please no let's talk about this! Stop!" The hollow begged scared.
Eita grin, "Not today, you are going to be my first kill." Eita said eagerly.
"Hehehe, just kidding." The hollow taunted as another little hollow appeared on his shoulder.
"Fuck." Eita cursed as it spite some nasty purple stuff at him knocking him down as it burn slightly.
Suddenly the larger hollow made a weird noises causing the small leech like things to explode on Eita. Eita groaned losing consciousness for a couple of seconds. He then quickly woke up again.
Eita looked around grabbing his sword and noticed small little hollows on the bird cage. Eita swiftly took them out and then looked at Chad.
"Chad take care of the bird I'll go help Rukia." Eita yelled running off after the hollow and Rukia.
Eita flash stepped towards Rukia grabbing her bridal style and flash stepped out of the way of the purple slim. They landed a couple of inches away from the hollow.
"Now you have pissed me off." Eita growled placing Rukia down gently. "MAGERU[1]! RUBIENERUGI[2]!" Eita shouted.
His zanpakuto glowed a bright ruby color changing form. It turn black bent inwards with the outer part ruby color.
"Ruby Lightning!"
Bright red lightning shot out from Eita's zanpakuto towards the hollow knocking him down from the sky.
Before he could attack again Eita swung his blade cutting into the hollow's skull cutting it in half.
The hollow screamed as his mask cracked in half.
"Rukia!" Ichigo yell nearing them as a huge pair of doors appeared behind the hollow.
Eita stared at the doors astonished.
"What the hell is that?" Ichigo asked just as stun as Eita.
"Those are the doors to hell. We as shinigamis simply purify sins after death whatever they did in life cannot be purified. Thus their soul is taken to hell to pay for their sins." She explained dejectedly as the doors closed and disappeared.
Ichigo looked at Eita and saw him holding a zanpakuto.
"Eita? Why do you have a zanpakuto?" Ichigo yelled confused.
"Why do you have one?" Eita countered back cunningly, smirking.
"What's going on, why Eita has a zanpakuto too?" he asked Rukia annoyed.
"Well looks like my job is done here. So sweetheart next time you need help you know who to call." Eita said winking at Rukia and waved goodbye to Ichigo.
Before they could question him any further he flash stepped away.

So in this chapter we got to see Eita and Rukia interact a little this wills lowly build up a foundation for their relationship. Their relationship I feel will move much faster because Eita is a type of guy who knows what he wants and I fell Rukia is the same.
So I promise starting the next chapter, chapters will be longer and less choppy like. The good stuff is about to begin.
I'll be taking the holidays off but who knows maybe I might update as a Christmas present keep an eye out for it on Christmas day. I'll be taking two weeks off so I won't be updating until January.
