Entry #7: Rods
Rods, also called Sky Fish, are a very elusive and mysterious race of monsters that just seeing one is considered a rarity. Despite being called Sky Fish they resemble more like transparent Eel/Lamprey Mermaids. They always float and never seem to touch the ground; they can move at incredible speeds untraceable to the naked eye. They are especially nimble and can slip through even the smallest of openings. They tend to travel in swarms.
What makes them odd is that they do not feed on any actual food; rather they entirely depend on high body temperature as such they can be found in places of great heat and with a dense population. They LITERALLY eat heat as if it was any other food much like how vampiric species feed on blood. As such to them the act of eating and the act of lovemaking is one and the same so they will search for a mate who has the highest body temperature.
Because of their unique feeding habits they have sex drives that can rival Lilims, Succubi, and Hellhounds. Since they feed off heat they will have sex with their chosen mate for hours on end and if they can get away with it… even for days just so they can feed off of the heat produced from the lovemaking. Because of their diet it is EXTREMELY rare for them to be a part of a monogamous relationship and are almost ALWAYS in a polygamous relationship.
However if they are not careful with how much they eat they can leave their victims vulnerable to diseases and the cold. Because of this Rods will not share the same mate with another of their kind and harems will only contain 2-3 Rods maximum (on rare occasions 5 depending on the size of the harem).

So here we have another entry from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. If you don't what they are they are a race of cryptids in the JoJoverse that appeared in Stone Ocean where one of the antagonists had a Stand that allowed him to control them.
