8 Slightly Off Course
Re-watched Highschool of the Dead this weekend all because of this one fic I read. I can't believe that the YURI ON ICE! movie teaser came out a couple of days ago. I was starting to lose hope.
(Kagome POV)
I choked on air at Sango's last statement. Didn't seen that one coming.
"I- yeah-well- Everyone grab a plate," I stuttered trying to explain and avoid the subject.
"What about me?" InuYasha asked.
"What about you?"
"There aren't enough plates," he growled.
"Oh right. Clay probably isn't that filling is it?" I said with a closed eyed smile.
Sango and Miroku choked on their tea while Koga gave out a roar of laughter. InuYasha growled again and walked away.
That takes care of that.
(InuYasha POV)
As I walked away from the group I was washed over with sadness. Kagome kissed Koga willingly. I don't know why but it bothered me.
"Damnit!" I yelled punching a tree.
If I told Kagome that kissing him was an ass move, I wouldn't hear the end of it. It's not like they're together but it felt like- well I don't know.
"Worthless wench. As long as she keeps gathering shards I can still turn into a full demon. It shouldn't matter what she's doing," I muttered.
(Kikyo POV)
I almost feel sorry for the carbon copy. I mean it IS my reincarnation I don't harbour any negative feelings towards her she's finally moved on from her silly little crush on my love but with the way InuYasha's acting you would think it was a bad thing. I'm not worried that he'll lose interest but she has a real body and can have children. That's one thing that isn't working in my favor. I need to get a proper physical form before InuYasha realizes he wants children that I can't give him.
"Aoba did you think about my offer?" I asked.
The woman nodded.
"I believe I need some more time to think upon how this will effect my tribe. My apologies Priestess Kikyo," She responded.
I smiled and nodded.
"That is fine. If you feel like you can't decide I have other candidates if the stress is too great," I said hoping she would hurry up and stop wasting my time.
I stood up telling her I'd be back in three days time and left to visit the next vessel- I mean woman.
(Kagome POV)
Everyone had packed up and we were waiting for InuYasha to show up so we could help Hina with the Spring demons. After about 4 minutes he finally returned with zero expression on his face.
"Are you ready InuYasha?" I asked with a voice void of emotion.
He looked me in the eyes and nodded.
"Alright let's go. Hina is going to meet us at the boundary for the Spring demon's main territory. Be careful. Sure, we're already inside the barrier but they made sure that their territory is in the center of the island underground. That gives them the advantage of surprise and the ability to prepare should they hear how close we are," I spoke in a soft and quiet voice.
With that knowledge everyone was walking softly but remained tense in case of an attack. We were walking past a tree when I felt the sudden presence of a demon. It was behind us.
"Everybody duck down but keep moving," I whispered walking backwards.
Seconds later a demon broke through the dirt. It expected us to be stunned but I had concentrated my pure aura into a ball of energy and shot at it. It vaporized immediately.
"That energy ball was a lot better than yesterday Kagome. I guess a bit of rest does wonders for magical abilities," Hina spoke from behind some trees.
"I didn't sense you there. Were you concealing your aura or replacing it with the tree's?" I asked curiously.
"A bit of both to be honest. This is all going to be relatively easy. The only difficulty is which ones have the shards. They could have given them to the strongest ones to hunt and build the barrier or the children so there's no weak links. Are you guys ready?" Hina explained.
We all nodded acting like a team for once. We decided that the best way for us to enter their territory was by having as few people on the ground as possible. That meant Sango and Miroku flew together on Kirara, Shippo used his fox magic to turn into a pink balloon like state, InuYasha leaped from tree to tree or jumped forward 50 meters at a time while Hina and Koga floated on a cloud that was originally a small ball of cotton from Hina's kimono. I made sure everyone was safe and that there were no life-threatening auras before using my own aura to stay in the air.
According to Hina if I'm in an area were pure energy or auras are concentrated, I can use my own pure or neutral aura to stay off the ground and vice versa with dark ones. It reminded me of when I used to play with magnets as a little girl. Two positive magnets repulse each other. I did another head count of the group and realized we were missing someone.
"Shit," I cursed.
It was InuYasha. The idiot could start a fight or blow our cover. I floated down to a tree and scanned the area with my eyes then with my spirit. I let my energy look for the half demon's aura. InuYasha was a good 60 meters to my left. Slightly of course.
But that wasn't what worried me. What worried me was that his energy was slowly diminishing.
Yeet yeet lemon feet-
Sorry.
I don't think I let you guys see this drawing at the top. IT'S MINE! If you want to color it or give it a face be my guest, but I would like to see it. I have a colored version somewhere but it's not great.
Reviews (and comments) are appreciated.
Peace from somewhere,
