Into The Unknown

Olivia's eyes flew open wide at the sound of her best friend's voice and she pulled the thick comforter up to her chin, not caring if Fitz was covered up at all or not. "Abby? What the hell are you doing here?"

"Hey, Chuckles." Fitz mumbled sleepily, without moving. He didn't even open his eyes.

The redhead grinned at their very different reactions. She wanted to be mad at them for being in her bed, for sleeping on the sheets with their bare asses, among other parts; rubbing all over them. She'd have to burn those sheets for sure. She couldn't keep the grin off her face or make the question sound angry. "I thought I very specifically said no sex in our bed?"

"We couldn't help ourselves." Fitz began, still with his eyes closed. He was laying facedown on the mattress, and was thoroughly enjoying screwing with Abby. "When mom and dad are away, the kids will play."

"Fitz, Shut up!" Olivia hissed.

"Yea, Fitz. Shut up." Abby echoed. "What's for breakfast?"

"Only slept for three hours. Lunch is a better bet." Fitz mumbled.

"Three hours? You dirty harlot!" She accused with a wicked grin. "Did she rock your world, Fitz?"

He reached over to Olivia's side of the bed and held her hand. With a chuckle he said, "so many times I lost count."

"Stop talking to her!" Olivia chided and pulled the blanket closer.

"Well, you did." He cracked one eye open and shot her a grin.

Olivia couldn't help herself. She grinned down at him. "You're kinda cute in the morning."

He snaked an arm across her waist and pulled her to him in one motion. "So are you."

She shrieked, but it turned into a giggle as she let go of her death hold on the comforter and happily wrapped her arms around his neck instead. "Kiss me."

"Not with Abby in here." he replied with a grin.

"Abby, get the hell out of here so we can have some privacy." Olivia told her friend.

"This is my bedroom, Liv!"

Fitz licked his lips, still looking at Olivia.

"You do that on purpose, don't you?" She knew damn well his did.

"MmmHmm. Because I know you love it." He admitted.

"It has become my favorite hobby to watch for your tongue to poke out and moisten your lips with it."

"I moistened your lips..."

"NOPE!" Abby shouted. "Watching you two play grab ass is one thing. Listening to you talk about the disgusting things you did to each other..."

"Would do to each other again if you'd kindly get out." Fitz said, not taking his eyes off Liv.

"Shut up! You have five minutes to get out of my bed and come downstairs and talk to us."

"Us?" Liv asked.

"Leo came with me."

"I made Liv come with me one time..."

"Gross!" Abby shivered and walked out the door, slamming it behind her. Before she walked away, she screamed, "five minutes!"

"We're not going down there in five minutes, are we?" She asked.

"That depends."

"On what?"

"On how long it takes you to scream my name." He disappeared under the blanket.

"Fitz! No!" Olivia hissed quietly. It was useless though, because seconds later, she felt his hot mouth on her inner thigh. She tried squeezing her legs together. They needed to get out of there. His mouth was making a strong point, and she began to concede.

"Don't fight it, Livvie. You know you want it." When her legs opened wide, Fitz grinned.

It was closer to fifteen minutes before the two of them came downstairs, but they were holding hands and smiling when they did.

"Look who decided to join us." Abby announced with a wide grin from the sofa.

"That is the voice of someone who didn't get laid this morning." Fitz said. "You're slipping, Leo."

"Yea, well, we don't all wake up with a rabbit's mentality, Fitz." Leo countered. "Some of us have things to do."

"On Christmas Eve?" Fitz asked skeptically.

Olivia looked over at him with surprise written all over her face. "Today is Christmas Eve? Really?"

Everyone in the room nodded.

"This week has flown by!"

Fitz gently squeezed her hand. "It's hard to believe that we'll be heading home in two days."

"I feel like we just started getting to know each other."

"It looked to me like you know just about everything about each other."

"Shut up, Abby." Olivia replied.

"What? I'm just saying."

Leo wanted the weird conversation to stop. "Look, we came up here to tell you both something. Something you should have known before you arrived."

"This feels like a moment where Maury Povich pops out, and tells Fitz and I that we are actually brother and sister." Olivia joked.

"Tell 'em, red." Leo prompted.

"Me? Why do I gotta tell them?"

"Because it was your stupid idea!"

"Somebody tell us something. It's too early for drama, and we haven't had any coffee yet."

"Right. Spill it, Abs." Fitz added.

"Fine! I knew that Fitz was going to be at the cabin this week, Liv." The redhead shared.

"And I knew Liv was gonna be here when I offered it to you." Leo told Fitz.

The silence in the cabin was deafening. Olivia and Fitz stared at their friends as the words they had just shared were processed. Their expressions went from confusion to doubt to surprise and then back to confusion.

Eventually, Fitz spoke up. "I don't...understand."

"We thought the two of you would hit it off."

"We just didn't think you'd hit it off that well!" Leo said with a look.

"You guys were trying to set us up?"

"Yea." Abby affirmed.

"But why?"

"Because we love you guys. You're both great people, who just happen to be single. And it's the holidays. Nobody should be alone for the holidays." Abby began. "Plus, you know how I love to play matchmaker, Liv."

Olivia chuckled. "You are really terrible at it though."

"I don't think I was I terrible at it this time though." Abby said with a grin. "You guys look really cute naked together."

"Oh my god." Olivia turned her face into Fitz's chest. He chuckled and his arms came around her.

"Are you mad?" Abby asked.

Olivia looked up at Fitz, still in his arms. She couldn't help the smile that seemed to be a permanent fixture when he was around. "Nope. We're not mad. Right, Fitz?"

"Absolutely not." He leaned down and rubbed his nose against hers.

"You have every right to be mad at her." Leo pointed out.

"You're just as guilty as I am." Abby reminded her husband. "Besides, we look way cuter naked than they do."

"Of course we do." Leo said, pulling Abby into his arms. He was a guy, and didn't give a shit if their friends were mad at them or not. He did whatever his wife told him to so she would do whatever he told her to do when they were alone. "They are beginners, and we are experts."

Abby grinned and put her arms around Leo's neck. "You're hot when you state the obvious."

"If the two of them hadn't spent all night rolling around on our sheets, I'd throw you over my shoulder and carry you upstairs and have my way with you."

"The first guest bed has clean sheets on it" Olivia pointed out. She and Fitz watched the grinning fools dash upstairs, much like she and Fitz had done the night before. The door was loudly slammed behind them. "They're so cute."

A few moments later, Abby let out a breathy moan.

With wide eyes, Fitz declared, "we've got to get the hell out of here!"

He and Liv ran to the front door giggling, where they pulled on their boots at the speed of light. Their jackets and scarves were retrieved from the back of a chair; something Abby must have done when she and Leo arrived earlier.

When Leo called out "Ohhhh, Fireball!" Fitz silently made the windmill motion with his hand, ushering Olivia outside as fast as humanly possible. He grabbed the cream colored blanket with the pretty print from the back of the sofa before their hasty exit.

He and Olivia were laughing like crazy people as they ran towards the woods, and out of earshot from the loud lovers inside the cabin. "I'm never gonna be able to look at Abby again without thinking about a fireball." She giggled.

"Right?!" Fitz agreed, still laughing. They were at the edge of the woods now. "Can you hear anything from here?"

The two of them stopped to listen for any sounds. Nothing could be heard at all. It was the most peaceful sound in the world. "Nope."

The snowy scene before them was a beautiful one this morning. The ground was white as far as the eye could see. The trees looked like someone had sprinkled powdered sugar on them from up high. And the sky was a crisp blue, with not a cloud in sight. It was the perfect place to spend a little time on Christmas Eve.

Olivia and Fitz were standing side by side, taking in the majesty of it all. "Are you mad at them for setting us up?"

Fitz put the blanket around both of them and gave her a smile. "How could I be? I probably never would have met you if they hadn't."

"That's exactly what I was thinking. And I don't care what they say, we look wayyyyy better than they do naked."

"I don't want to think about that. I'm still scarred from hearing Fireball." He admitted with a chuckle.

Olivia recovered from her own giggles and said, "We never took our walk in the snow, you know."

"That's true. You wanna go now?"

"That depends."

"On what?"

"Are you gonna protect me from trolls?"

"What trolls?" he asked in a surprised tone.

"Oh, I heard the woods are peppered with them in these parts." She informed him.

"Huh. Well, in that case...I guess I don't have a choice." The two of them stood there looking at it.

"Have you ever been in there?"

"You just told me there's trolls. Of course I haven't!" he shot back with a grin.

"I'm ready to see what will happen."

"Would you rather go alone?"

"Let's start this walk into the unknown together." Olivia looked up at him from under the blanket and puckered her lips. She wasn't talking about going into the woods anymore, and hoped he was picking up on that.

Fitz leaned down and pulled his warm hand from his glove. Cupping her cold cheek, he brushed his lips across hers in a soft kiss. She was a wonder to him and he was thankful for Abby and Leo's meddling. They were about to do a lot more than walk into the snow covered woods, and he couldn't be happier. Looking into her beautiful brown eyes, he said, "I'd like that very much, Livvie."

She smiled and snuggled closer to him and they took that first step together.
