The Death Busters Strike Back

Inside the home of Souchirou Tomoe, Hotaru glanced out the window when she heard the sound of a Motorcycle coming to a halt. She slowly stood up, and raced outside to see Cloud Strife step off Fenrir and approach her, when Kaolinite appeared behind her.

"Have you removed any distractions?" she asked.

"Yeah," replied Cloud.

Then Hotaru stepped up to him.

"So, why'd you help those people out?" she asked curiously.

"I'm after Sephiroth, but it looks like I found him without your help. He helped a woman called Kaguya try to turn this world into a frozen wasteland, but we stopped them. I know he's still out there, and I'm gonna kill him with this sword," Cloud in a dark tone.

"Listen, Cloud. No matter what happens, even if Sephiroth has a strong grip on your heart, I know you'll beat him," Hotaru assured him.

"You think so, kid?" asked Cloud.

Hotaru nodded and smiled at him, while Kaolinite decided to head back inside the house, while Cloud left something in her hand.

"Don't lose sight of it," he said to her.

He was just about to leave, when he heard Hotaru's voice.

"I hope I see you again. But if you want, I'm sure my father can give you some training," She called to him.

Cloud glanced back at her.

"I think I'll pass," he replied, running a hand through his hair.

Hotaru smiled as she watched Cloud climb onto Fenrir and race off into the distance.

"Good luck, Cloud Strife," she said to herself.

Then she slowly walked back to her room, and decided to rest in her own bed for a while, when her father came to see her.

"How are you, Hotaru?" he asked.

"I'm okay, just a bit exhausted is all," replied Hotaru.

Then Professor Tomoe nodded and slowly shut the door, so that his daughter would rest.

"One day, Maleficent, this world will be plunged into darkness, and become part of the Dark World," he said to the wicked fairy.

"Very good, Professor. Succeed in this task, and you will hold a prominent place in my new dominion," replied Maleficent.

Both individuals laughed maniacally as they walked through the corridors to the research lab, knowing fully well, that the end of the Realm of Light would draw near.
