After Lily calms herself down, she knows she needs to go back. She needs to see Cato no matter the things he has done she needed him to know she was okay. On her walk back she froze at hearing a little girls screams. Rue, she thought and took off in the direction of the screams.

"Katniss, help me," Lily could tell she was almost there, when she broke through the clearing she saw Rue had calmed down and was being hugged and reassured by Katniss. She spotted Lily and began to raise her boy.

"No," Lily shouted seeing Marvel behind them with a spare raised, Katniss spun around and ducked as Marvel released his spare, Lily screamed and through her knife and pierced Marvel in the heart. She ran to Rue as she could see the blood seeping through her back. She got to them just as Rue had collapsed into Katniss. Katniss watched her wearily but focused herself on Rue as Lily checked her wound. Lily started to cry as did Katniss as they realized she was losing too much blood.

"It's okay," Katniss told her stroking the small girls face. "You're okay," she kept repeating.

"Did you blow up the food?" She whispered and Lily snapped her head up to Katniss realizing it was them that had caused the explosion.

Katniss nodded, sniffling "Every bit of it," she smiled down at her.

"Good," She said before looking at Lily. "Did you tell him?"

"Tell him?" Lily repeated

"The boy from two, that you loved him?" Rue smiled up at her between her tears and Lily began sobbing and nodded, "Good, I knew it." Lily glanced over at Marvel's body as Rue whispered to Katniss, "You have to win. Can you sing?" Lily broke down again lying down and hugging Rue as Katniss started to sing, Mockingjay's above them picked up Katniss. Soon after Lily looked up and saw that Rue wasn't breathing anymore.

"No," her voice sounded strangled as she sat up crying.

"I'm sorry." Katniss sobbed kissing Rue's head and zipping up her jacket. Lily continued to cry and Katniss let out her frustrations, throwing the spear that pierced her. Katniss got up eventually and she thought she must have been leaving, but she came back with a hand full of flowers she began to place them on Rue.

"I'll go get more," Lily said quietly, and Katniss paused to stare at her before wondering off to bring more flowers back.

"We were allies," Katniss said when they finished and Lily nodded, "she told me how you gave her food and walked her back to me safely when I was out," she just nodded again her heart hurt too much to even respond, such a beautiful young child taken away. "I think we should let each other go this time, for Rue." Katniss said warily before getting up to walk off, she paused briefly to look at a camera and made a sign Lily assumed was from her district. She got up slowly and headed in the opposite direction of Katniss, before she stopped and turned around facing the same camera Katniss and copied the sign Katniss made before heading off.

She was almost back to the clearing of the Cornucopia when a voice came over the arena,

"Attention Tributes Attentions, the regulations requiring a single victor have been suspended from now 2 victors may be crowned. This will be the only announcement"

Lily's heart sped up with joy as she went to burst through the clearing toward Cato but quickly her heart sunk as she spotted Clove and remembered quickly that while Clove was around she couldn't be sure that Cato would team up with her. Especially remembering the things that the boy from three had said to her.

Quickly she ran off in the other direction, before Cato could spot her. She headed back to the river but quickly thought that would be the first place Cato would look for her. She remembered the lake and quickly ran to the far side of it, setting up camp under a small cliff edge on the embankment.

Once she'd set herself up with her back to the rocks, she heard the familiar dinning of a sponsors gift. She looked out to see two parachutes floating down, the first she opened it was hot bread, from District 11, with a note saying thank you. Lily cried and thanked them she knew the next would probably be from Finnick she ate the bread slowly. She opened up the next one and it was a nutrition bar.

Stay alive Princess, he is looking for you.

She knew he would look for, he must be so worried and he'd definitely be so angry at her for disappearing. But she knew she didn't stand much of a chance if he was teamed up with Clove. A small part of her hoped he had ditched Clove and was looking for her, but she knew he wouldn't abandon Clove, as much as he claimed to love her.

"Attention, Tributes Attention: Commencing at sunrise there will be a feast tomorrow at the Cornucopia. This will be no ordinary occasion, each of you need something desperately and we plan to be generous hosts"

A weapon, Lily thought, something to help her win, something to give her more of an advantage. Lily thought of Kai and how she promised him to come home she knew he would be watching. She knew how dangerous it would be, Cato and Clove would definitely set up a trap but if he did care for her she could use this at an advantage to get away.

She would go, she would go and get whatever it was that she needed and she would get it no matter how hard it would be.
