Team RWBY woke up in a strange place.
It was a white void. Nothing more, nothing less.
"Where are we?" Weiss asked. Looking around, she found an obvious red button atop a pedestal. 'Was that always there?' Weiss thought before Ruby pushed the button.
Their surroundings went from stark white, to a deep black. They found themselves floating in space, a place that YOU COULDN'T SURVIVE IN!
"Ahh! Weiss, can you fix this!?" Ruby asked.
"What do you think?" the heiress replied. It took a while before they realized they weren't dying.
After that, they admired the view. Nobody in Remnant had ever gone to space before on account of Dust not working in the abyss. The stars, the sun, the moon.
Wait.
The moon was WHOLE. "What?" Yang said, dumbstruck. And things got crazier from there.
A meteor was headed straight toward the planet. Although they weren't sure what planet it was.
They wanted to destroy it and protect the planet, but they didn't have their weapons on them right now.
Thankfully, a blast of emerald green light jetted from the planet and shattered the meteor.
"WOAH! That was amazing! What kind of weapon did that!?" Ruby asked.
"I don't think that was a weapon." Blake said. Ruby and the others didn't understand her until the green light faded, revealing what lay underneath.
It was a large serpentine creature with golden strands of energy coming off of it's horns. The most notable thing however, was the person riding on it's back. They wore a red spacesuit with a black visor obscuring their face.
"Who would be crazy enough to ride on that thing!?" Weiss asked.
"Uhh, Ice Queen, you might want to take a look at this." Yang said nervously. The group followed Yang's gaze and found an odd piece of the meteor. It was a perfect triangle, and after a few seconds, it started to move. Eventually, it took a humanoid shape and shrieked at the dragon and the person riding it.
"What is that thing?" Weiss asked.
The person in the suit jumped off the beast and floated somewhere near the girls. "Hey! Who are you?" Ruby asked, but got no response.
"Use Hyper Beam." The person said. The beast fired a yellow beam of energy from it's mouth to attack the humanoid, which took the debris from the meteor to defend itself. It then shifted to a slimmer form before flying to a safe enough distance to attack.
Once it got far enough away, it's form shifted again before it lobbed balls of darkness at the beast. "Fly upwards and use Draco Meteor." The beast followed the command and flew up before launching meteors from it's mouth. The humanoid tried to dodge, but got hit by a projectile and lost part of it's torso. It glared at the beast before the wound healed itself. It then shot a blast of dark energy at the beast.
Knowing it'd be unable to avoid the attack, the person commanded the beast to ram right through. "Use Dragon Ascent to shatter that Move."
The beast covered itself in the emerald aura again before charging at the humanoid's attack, and by proxy, the humanoid.
The humanoid shifted to a bulkier form just before the beast hit it. The two creatures were in a grudge match of sorts, and neither one was willing to back down.
But every battle needs a winner.
The beast broke through the humanoid's defenses and sent it plummeting to the planet's surface.
"Oh well. I guess we'll get it next time."
"Thanks for your assistance, Rayquaza."
The team woke up in their beds.
They didn't know why, but they felt like that dream was important somehow.
They all saw a piece of paper on the floor.
Rayquaza. The Sky High Pokemon.

Cinderace: Pyro Ball, Electro Ball, Double Edge, Bounce. GMAX. Held item: Charcoal. Ability: Libero, changes Type to the move the Pokemon is about to use. Male.
Aegislash: Shadow Ball, Sacred Sword, King's Shield, Solar Blade. Ability: Stance Change, changes Stance depending on what move it uses. Male.
Rotom: Shadow Ball, Thunderbolt, Swift. Ability: Levitate, grants immunity to Ground Type moves.
Kartana: Leaf Blade, Smart Strike, Guillotine, X-Scissor. Ability: Beast Boost, increases Attack every time it defeats an enemy.
Blacephalon: Fire Blast, Psychic, Shadow Ball, Mind Blown. Ability: Beast Boost, increases Sp. Attack every time it defeats an enemy.
Zygarde: Dragon Pulse, Stone Edge, Land's Wrath, Core Enforcer. Ability: Power Construct, changes into Complete Form when HP gets low.
Moltres: Sky Attack, Shadow Ball, Hyper Beam, Fiery Wrath. Ability: Berserk, boosts Sp. Attack when HP gets low.
Marshadow: Mega Kick, Stone Edge, Aura Sphere, Spectral Thief. Held item: Spell Tag. Ability: Technician, boosts the power of weak moves.
Rayquaza: Hyper Beam, Dragon Pulse, Draco Meteor, Dragon Ascent. Ability: Air Lock, removes the effects of weather.
Deoxys: Hyper Beam, Recover, Shadow Ball, Psycho Boost. Ability: Pressure, raises the PP usage of opponents.
