Author's Note: I don't really feel like doing about 20 parts or more, so I did a time skip so it will be down to 10 or something like that. Sorry not sorry.
Elsbridge, Stone Residence, Friday. 7:35 AM. 3 days before Valentines dance.
Her golden hair glowed brightly, as her eyes sparkled as she woke up. Lady's hopes rose throughout the past days since Frankie's arrival, for Thomas gave her obvious hints that SHE was the one he liked, not the crazy flirtatious girl in blue who had been hitting on him. As she got dressed, she knew how close the dance was, and hoped that SHE would be the one whom Thomas would bring.
"I hope Thomas does actually love me." Lady thought. "I love him so much, and it would be heartbreaking for my feelings to be rejected in the end."
As Lady then finished doing her hair, she slid on her shoes and quickly went downstairs to join up with her parents during breakfast.
...
Meanwhile at the Billinton Residence, Thomas too was feeling nervous on the inside, for he knew that it was only a matter of time before Frankie did something that would shatter make it seem like that SHE was the one whom he loved. So far, he managed to keep her away from coming to his home, and convince Lady that he was not dating her, but doing something that seemed to be like a date, just to get her to shut up. It was during those moments when he found Frankie to be REALLY suspicious. At first, it just seemed to be a phone call of some sort, but when he listened closely, it turned out to be more.
"Yes. Yes. I'm in the process of seducing him just as you asked. I don't know why you're so afraid of these Sudrians. They all seem stupid to me."
"Stupid huh? Sounds like she hadn't reckoned me."
"Yes! I will get that blonde too! Don't you dare worry."
"BEEP!"
"That selfish ungrateful piece of trash. Thinking he has complete control over me. Hrrumph!"
As he came back into the present, Thomas's worries only grew.
"If she's saying blonde, then that means she could be after Lady too. I must protect her! Lady is EVERYTHING to me, and I refuse to let her down!"
As Thomas then finished his tie, he darted down the stairs to have breakfast with his family. As he ate, Annie and Clarabel spoke up.
"So.. Thomas." Annie began. "Mum and dad told us about your feelings for Lady."
"Yeah? What about them?"
"Are you going to dance with her?" Clarabel continued. "She is your crush after all."
"Well, duh! Of course I am." Thomas replied. "It's just that I hope it all goes right."
"I'm sure it will." Tanya soothed. "You'll see."
Thomas was still unsure as he then finished his cereal, before swinging his school bag over his shoulders, and walking out towards the bus stop.
...
The time flew by in Sodor High that morning as Thomas and Lady found it all oddly peaceful for Frankie had not once really got into Thomas's space. However, this still didn't deter the Billinton from keeping a close eye for suspicious activity. Little did he know that Frankie was planning to do something that would shatter Lady's heart. When lunch came, Lady planned on sitting next to the young man whom she loved, as Thomas and her made a promise to do so that morning. However, when she got there, Frankie was next to him and this made her heart swell with sadness, and even more so, when Frankie touched him in an affectionate way. As Lady then dropped her tray with a clang, the golden haired girl darted out of the cafeteria as no-one seemed to notice, or so she thought. Thomas heard the clang as so do his friends, as he reached out to her with no avail. Seeing the tears in his eyes, Thomas's friend group knew that it was time to stir up some chaos. As Percy thought up of a good "insult", James looked over at his girlfriend, and gave her a wink to let her know that a major act was about to come up. Nodding, Emily waited as Thomas's friends began to stir up some, "Trouble".
"Gordon!" Percy exclaimed, pretending to be cross and upset. "You're eating too many of those sausages! You Galloping sausage!"
Gordon sniggered a little before, doing his part of the act.
"What did you just call me, Percy?!"
"A Galloping sausage!" Percy replied. "Because you are what you eat!"
"Well then..." Gordon then said as he cracked his knuckles. "Why don't have a knuckle sandwich for lunch then."
Throwing a punch that missed on purpose, the students who were unaware of the real situation began to chant for the fight, with Frankie included. Seeing that the intruding girl that was posing as a student was not having her attention on him, Thomas darted out to find Lady.
...
Thomas searched high and low across the school's hallways. Lunch period was going to end very soon, and so he was on a time crunch. Suddenly as he came to a stop, he heard a faint sobbing coming from what seemed like a wall. Inspecting it closely, Thomas found the section of wall actually being a projection. Stepping through, he found Lady sobbing very sadly as she crouched down on the floor.
"Oh Lady. I'm sorry. The promise I made to you slipped my mind. I-I didn't remember until you darted out of the cafeteria."
Lady just continued to shed tears as Thomas sat next to her.
"Why? Why would you forget something like that?!" Lady then said to Thomas as tears fell from her eyes. "You love, Frankie, don't you?!"
"No." Thomas replied. "I don't."
"Then, why did you forget our promise?!"
"Because I had my mind filled with other crud, Lady. Frankie is actually NOT enrolled here at Sodor High, and I've been asked to keep an eye out for suspicious activity!"
"And what makes you think that I would believe what you said, about your feelings?"
"Because I think she may have YOU as one of her targets, Lady! I'm HERE, because of YOU. I'm scared of losing YOU, Lady. Not Frankie!"
Thomas began to shed tears as he then brought Lady into an embrace.
"Lady... I must tell you now. During that time frame between that day months ago, up until now, I couldn't get any thought of you out of my head. I saw the possible death of yours at night if, I'd failed, and I just longed to see you again."
Thomas's hold on Lady tightened, as he began to really feel the guilt that he had within him.
"I made you cry, and kept you in the dark. Oh gosh, I'm so cruel."
"Thomas..." Lady gasped as she saw her crush cry on her shoulder. "No. I-I should've had more faith within you. I'm the one who yelled at you after having something slip your mind."
"No... I'm cruel, Lady." Thomas retorted. "That plan we made this morning was a promise. A promise that I made. A promise that I broke, and... all of it done with the girl I love most!"
Lady's widened as she heard that. She couldn't believe what she just heard.
"Y-you l-love m-me?"
"Yes." Thomas sobbed in reply. "I love you so much, Lady. I missed you so greatly after that day a few months back. Then and up until the day you came to Sodor High, YOU were the only one I thought about, always waking from a terrifying dream of that same man succeeding in that terrible deed. You're too precious for me to lose, Lady. I mean it."
Lady's tears started again, but this time of joy as a smile came across her face.
"Thomas... I-I love you too. Yes you're cheeky, but I find that cheekiness to give you such a great sense of humor. You're kind, caring and very courageous. Please stop blaming yourself, okay? You never meant to inflict some mental harm unto me, and I understand why you accidently forgot about the promise that we made this morning. Please, Thomas. There's nothing to be beating yourself up over. I KNOW that you'll never mean be that cruel to me."
Thomas's tears came to a stop as he felt Lady return the embrace with her own arms. Raising his head upward, Thomas looked at Lady's face before they both pulled one another closer. Slowly yet surely, their lips linked up with one another as their faces tinted with a slight red. This action went on for about 25 seconds before both teens pulled apart, taking in the taste of each other's lips. As Lady then rested her head on Thomas's shoulder, another tear of sadness fell from her eye.
"I would love to go to the dance with you, but I don't have any tickets due to the fact that my parents are broke." She said, as she looked at her new found lover.
"Don't worry." Thomas replied with a smile as he rubbed Lady's cheek. "I'll deal with that. Dad gave me more than enough money to purchase two of those tickets. I'll buy them once the home hour hits. Sound good?"
"Yes." Lady replied, as she then smiled at her new boyfriend. "Please try to find time to dance with me during the event."
"I will." Thomas replied. "And if we get interrupted by Frankie, well, I'll promise you a day afterwards to make up for it."
"Oh.. Thomas. you're the best." Lady then sighed, before nuzzling the boy that she loved.
To be continued...
