Chapter 10
.
As Sydney left the AA meeting she got another call, from the current Ghostface.
.
Ghostface: Hello Sydney.
Sydney: You near?
Ghostface: Not exactly. Surely by now, you must have realize that I'm doing this so close to Halloween.
Sydney: Isn't that cliche?
Ghostface: I guess I'm a traditionalist at heart. Does it bother you to know you'll die on Halloween?
Sydney: Good a day as any I guess. I'd prefer to have more than two days left to live.
Ghostface: Still, I'm giving you an approximate time. Between sunset and midnight Saturday. You have two days to get your affairs in order, check off what you can on your bucket list.
Sydney: Maybe you better do that, considering that I might kill you.
Ghostface: Fair point. Who will survive, it's exciting isn't it?
Sydney: Not for me.
Ghostface: You're too jaded, this is my first time. I want to savor this.
Sydney: I don't, I just want it over with.
Ghostface: I understand. She wants it over with too.
Sydney: She? You have someone else?
Ghostface: Yeah, I believe she's a friend of yours. She even has a signed copy of your book.
Sydney: Amy?
Ghostface: That's right. Someone else already cut her face, didn't leave me much to work with.
Sydney: You kill her and I swear to God I will kill you.
Ghostface: You already said you'd, try, to kill me. But if this girl's life is so important to you, come and get her.
Sydney: Where?
Ghostface: The old abandoned barn in the woods. Come and find us.
Sydney: What's the catch?
Ghostface: You don't really think I'll give away all the spoilers right now. But you may want to come quickly, or I'll be gone, and so will Amy.
