The Magical Trinity

Previously:

Hermione seeing a little confusion in their faces added "While this is true of where we come from even to a quantum level it's still true here. Science has yet to find an answer for every question or mystery." With that, the ship continued towards the Gamma Quadrant side of the wormhole and a chance to make things right.

Chapter 9: Flight to the Gamma Quadrant

A Vision and a Vorta Conversation

As they exited the wormhole into the Gamma quadrant Luna called for her companion to gather and asked Dax to stop the Thames. She then asked Harry & Hermione to join hands with her and each other forming a triangle. Then to Kira's and Dax's surprise, the trio started to glow and lifted a foot off the floor.

Then like a slowly spinning top, they turned to the right then slowly to the left. They finally stopped as a visible beam went out from the trio towards one area of the quadrant not mapped nor visited before by any of the Alpha and Beta quadrant ships. Dax was able to recognize what this was and flew to the controls to vector out the quadrants as the trio slowly floated down and then let go of their hands and opened their eyes.

Kira was still a bit perplexed as she and the trio slowly made their way to the available seats. "What was that… what you did…how?"

"Oh, that's one of the ways we can use magic. Normally we use a wand or staff back in our reality to find a place, but here we use ourselves to find that place or in this case a planet full of Shapeshifters." Luna stated.

"But as there is a high possibility that there aren't too many places where Shapeshifters would gather in huge numbers even in a large area like a quadrant," Hermione added.

Harry continued. "So, when we gathered together, we tripled our magical powers to scan the Quadrant..."

"Wait, when you did your little spinning around you scanned a whole Quadrant?" Kira asked as Dax was just as surprised!

Well, yes is that a problem?" Hermione said

"Um no, it just that is something even with our technology we haven't perfected. As in the size and power of the scan, we can only scan between 10-12 parsecs, what you did was almost 50 times that range." Dax stated.

All 5 were then surprised by that. After a few explanations of the distance of a parsec and a quadrant they all were surprised, and the trio became speculative of what Q2 had told them. Maybe their powers were enhanced as he had said. As they thought of this Dax set the coordinates towards the location of the Founders Planet. All knew they would be running into the Jem-Haddar and their fighters soon and they started making plans for that.

New Power Unveiled

As the Thames made their way towards the Founders, the trio withdrew to the back of the ship to discuss their new Powers. Luna said again "Perception is reality. And it seems magic here is Enhanced as is what magic can be."

Hermione nodded. "If that's true we can do things here we could never do back in our reality. I mean look at what we did to locate the Founders Planet. Imagine what we can do if we combine our power as we did. That could be useful when we meet the Jem-Haddar ship and the Founders as well."

Harry shook his head with a bit of worry. Still, I'm a bit apprehensive about this as we could make more problems than we solve. You know what I mean?" He got up and started pacing the room as the girls looked at each other knowing they had to calm Harry down. Then Luna got a speculative look on her face and then leaned over and whispered to Hermione. She looked surprised then contemplated her friend's suggestion. She nodded to her and both got up.

Both got up and bracketed the Worried Wizard between them. As Harry was going to ask what was going on Both Witches hugged him from either side of him Giving him a double hug which after a moment calmed his mind and allowed briefly how what he felt for both girls was slowly changing. He hoped they had similar feelings and knew soon he would have to talk with them both when they had a good amount of time to do it.

The girls while in their group hug were having similar feelings as well. Luna was in her heaven as she had visions of a very naked and well-muscled Harry which made her smile and giggle, while Hermione was feeling all those butterflies, she had read about in her nonfiction stories she secretly read while most thought she was a methodical bookworm! Oh, if they only knew she went gaga over Stories from Sarah Dessen, Cherie Bennett, and Dian Schwenn as well as classics like Jane Austen, The Bronte sisters, and Georgette Heyer! All making her very Logical and methodical mind become a mushy mess. What threw her was that this hug was so different than her previous hugs with Harry. Maybe Luna's the difference". That Perplexed her for a second until the warm fluttery feelings drowned that out.

After what felt like an eternity but in reality, a few moments they separated all 3 looking at each other silently communicating they were going to talk about this soon! After a moment they made their way to the front of the runabout joining the two there for the trip which they knew would be delayed by the Jem'hadar sooner rather than later.

Delay and Arrival

As they started to near the system that they had detected was the New Founder's Home world, Dax had already detected 2 squadrons of Jem-Haddar fighters vectoring from aft and starboard while a Heavy Cruiser was a few light years behind one squadron. Ezri told her companions and they all got ready for their interception which She estimated within 5 minutes. As Ezri described how one squadron was swinging around in front of their route while the other hung back, the Trio all nodded and told Nerys and Ezri to be ready as they had a surprise for the Dominion forces. With that, the trio got ready in the same Triangle alignment as before on the mid-deck of the Runabout as they linked hands and dropped into a meditative state. As Kira turned back to the viewscreen already getting the Tactical station ready she nodded to her friend Ezri who already had Shields up as they knew they would be fired on in a few moments and were ready to drop out of warp to face their fighter ahead of them.

The Vorta on the Heavy cruiser was coordinating with his fellow Vorta in each fighter as he warned them not to destroy the Federation vessel as one, they had kept the peace with The Federation and the Alpha Quadrant and had to quell some troubles in the Gamma quadrant. But the ship had been heading Straight to the Secret and cloaked planet using the best Technology the Dominion had. That alone meant they had to stop this lone Federation ship to find out what they had that allowed them to find the Founders.

Surprise

Then within 5 minutes, Muyon the Vorta in Charge saw his 2 Squadrons of fighters and his Battle Cruiser defeated without a single shot being used.

Ezri and Kira sat and were struggling to process what they had seen. A single powerful energy pulse came from the Lead Jem'hadar fighter to knock the Thames out of warp. As Kira was ready and Dax had switched to keeping an eye on the ship's systems both heard a swishing sound behind them. Both caught the trio pop out of sight. Then they saw the lead fighter had waived then it seemed all their systems shut down and the ship drifted, powerless. The same thing happened within 10-15 seconds on the rest of the fighter squadron. Then the 2nd Squadron appeared behind them, and within seconds the same thing was happening to those ships. Dax used her comm to hear what was happening within the next fighter hit and all they heard was "Stupefy, and Ezri could make out a magnetic field.

Generating from what she didn't know. But her best guess was the Trio seemingly transporting to each ship and knocking out all biological entities in each while also generating a magnetic field acting like an EMH pulse knocking out all their systems except for their life support systems. As the last fighter went silent the Battle Cruiser appeared right over them seemingly ready to tractor beam them into their fighter landing bays. Then it seemed that parts of the large Ship seemed to be shuddering and power seemed to wink out from the center of the ship outwards. The big ship just like the fighters before went quiet and was now drifting in space.

Just before Kira tried to make contact with the drifting ships the trio popped back in looking exhausted but smiling. As they separated and stumbled to their seats, they told the 2 officers what had happened.

"First we Apparated to each fighter's bridge and used a spell called 'Stupefy', as we were holding hands, we said it in unison and all those in the ship were knocked out," Luna said.

"As a side-effect, all their electronic systems blew out due to the power of the spell and magic's interference with their electronics. We Consciously kept their life support systems Unaffected as we used this same scenario on all the fighters." Hermione nodded for Harry to continue.

"When we got to that big ship, we had to turn up the power, but we got them even though they knew we were coming. The faces of utter confusion were priceless to see." Harry was smiling and having a quiet laugh as the girls were smiling too. Then, Harry added; "Oh, we did leave the Captain of the big ship Unaffected so he could deliver our message to the Founders and told them you are not to be harmed."

Eyebrows rose on both female officers as Kira contacted the Vorta who confirmed what Harry had said. Muyon thought he would be executed given what had happened but the Founder he reported to seem not to be angry and seemed more anxious. He replied that the federation ship was to be escorted by the Battlecruiser and after they recovered their systems, the squadrons were to go back to their previous assignments. Acknowledging His orders from a 'god' to him, Muyon then had a quick conversation with Colonel Kira and with the Cruiser behind them, the Warped back and continued their course for the planet.

Of Magic and a Link

As they were a few minutes from the Planet Luna again asked Harry & Hermione to one of the back rooms for a quick talk. As she turned to her companions she started, "Harry, do you remember the Deathly Hallows and what each meant?" He repeated what all 3 knew of the Hallows and how each gave a certain aspect that made the holder of all 3 the Master of Death, at least in their reality. "Alright now Hermione, what do you think of our Triangle of Magic, is it similar" She smiled at her friend as Hermione went into her thinking mode nibbling her lip and looking afar as she was trying to come up with an answer.

"Well, from what I felt in our connection as we were disabling those ships it seemed I was guiding us, while you Luna was showing us what to do, while Harry seemed to gather all our power to that spell, right Luna?"

"Yes, it was as if we were three part of a whole just as the 3 hallows were." Luna smiled as she gave an encouraging nod to her friend.

Then as though a bright light bulb had been turned on Hermione answered Excitedly. "We are these realities Magical Trinity, aren't we? We have to work together for things to happen and to complete our mission." With a simple nod, the girls hugged knowing a new piece of knowledge which to both girls made their lives easier. Harry stood their Arms akimbo smiling as he got the gist of it. They all made their way back up front just as the ship dropped from warp above a reddish-brown planet.

AN: I might be 1-2 week late on the next chapter due to RL. So be patient. As for publishing the chapter early, well my Muse was very active! ;-)
