Kurt was right. Blaine had slowly drifted off to dreamland not even ten minutes into the car ride. Kurt glanced over at Blaine as he pulled into the driveway. He looked so exhausted; physically and emotionally. Kurt could just tell by the lines wrinkling up above Blaine's eyebrows that he was stressed.

Kurt ran a hand through his hair, not caring if it was a mess considering it was covered with chlorine anyway. He sighed before turning off the ignition and getting out of the car. He let Blaine sleep for a few minutes longer as he took both of their bags into the house and up to his room. He looked around for any sign of his family, but everyone seemed to be out. Finally he found a note on refrigerator.

Kurt,

Carole and I went out for dinner and a movie. Finn's staying the night at Puck's. Be home around eleven. Love you,

Burt.

Kurt read the note, feeling grateful that he and Blaine would have the house to themselves tonight. He really needed to just talk to Blaine alone, and having Finn or his parents there, would definitely ruin any chance of that.

Kurt set the note down on the counter before turning to quickly walk back out to the car, where Blaine was still asleep. Kurt couldn't help but stare at Blaine's sleeping figure as he opened the passenger side door. He was absolutely adorable—except for the fear still evident on his face. But it did make him look more vulnerable, which if anything just made Kurt want to protect and cuddle him more.

"Blaine," he whispered while gently shaking his shoulders. "Baby, wake up. We need to go inside." Blaine's eyes slowly started to flutter open. Kurt smiled at him. Once Blaine was more awake and aware of where he was, he began to slowly freak out.

"Kurt," he started, sitting up straight. "Why…why am I here? I thought you were taking me home…" Blaine's voice was so small and vulnerable. Kurt grabbed him and gently pulled him into a hug.

"Do you really think I would let you go home, where you would be left alone?" he asked incredulously. Kurt pulled back to look at Blaine's face. Blaine tried not to make eye contact with him. "Plus we made plans for this already, remember?" Kurt said winking.

Blaine blushed. "Y-yeah, I guess so."

Kurt stepped back from the door, allowing room for Blaine to get out. "C'mon, let's go inside."

Blaine followed Kurt silently as they walked into the kitchen. Kurt ushered Blaine to sit down at the table, and Blaine obliged. A few moments later Kurt put down a plate of left over Chinese food, which he microwaved, in front of Blaine.

"Eat," Kurt insisted. "You need something inside you." Blaine nodded, but made no move to eat anything.

"What about you?" he asked.

Kurt just shrugged. "I'm not hungry. But I know you, and I know that you eat almost as much as Finn does. So don't you dare try to deny that you're not starving right now," Kurt warned, waving a finger. This caused a small smile to appear on Blaine's face, along with a small chuckle to escape his lips, as he picked up his fork in silence. Kurt smiled back; everything was slowly starting to go back to normal.

Once Blaine finished eating, Kurt quickly grabbed his plate and rinsed it off before setting it in the dishwasher. Blaine was too tired to even try and protest—which worried Kurt slightly. Usually Blaine was so dapper and gentlemanish. He would never allow Kurt to do something like that without a fight.

"Wanna go watch TV?" Kurt asked breaking the silence. Blaine looked up from the spot he was staring at on the table. He plastered that charming grin back onto his face—his mask coming back on. Kurt sighed. Great, he though sarcastically.

"Yeah, let's go."

Kurt followed Blaine into the living room, and sat down as his boyfriend began flipping through channels. Finally Blaine settled on some random action movie that was playing. Once Blaine relaxed fully onto the sofa, Kurt scooted closer to him. He reached an arm around Blaine's torso and pulled him in close. Blaine hummed pleasantly and rested his head on Kurt's shoulder.

After a few more minutes of both boys pretending to watch the movie Kurt decided to break the silence. "Blaine, we need to talk about what happened," he stated confidently. Blaine lifted his head back off of Kurt and pulled away.

"No we don't." Blaine's tone was even; he wasn't letting any emotion seep through.

"Yes we do, Blaine. You can't just bottle it all up. You were scared; hell I was scared!" Kurt couldn't help the anger, fear, and worry mixture that fell out of his own voice. Blaine was trying his hardest to keep the mask up though.

"I'm not bottling anything up, Kurt. I don't care anymore. I got thrown in, so what? I'm fine," he said evenly.

Kurt glared at him. "Really? You're fine?" he asked exasperatingly. Blaine nodded defiantly. "Okay, well how bout we go do more swim lessons tomorrow? We're members at the club; Finn and I go all the time."

Kurt watched as fear suddenly shocked through Blaine's emotionless face. But it was gone just as quickly as it had come. Blaine stood up angrily, his face turning red.

"No," he said voicing rising with anger. "I don't want to swim anymore, Kurt! Okay?! God, I can still be fine and not want to swim! It doesn't matter!"

Kurt felt bad now. Blaine had been so scared before when he asked Kurt never to make him go in the pool again, and Kurt had just abused that promise. But he really needed Blaine to admit that he wasn't okay. He quickly stood up to match Blaine height—well to tower over Blaine's height now.

"I know," Kurt said softly. Confusion flickered in Blaine's eyes for a moment, before the anger returned. He crossed his arms.

"You know? What do you know?" Blaine spat out the words venomously. Kurt sighed.

"I know that you don't want to swim again. And I promise I won't make you; not unless you want too. But I also know that you're scared Blaine, and I need you to let me in. Please, baby," Kurt pleaded. Blaine just continued to stare, but the anger slowly started to leave his body; his face softened and he slowly uncrossed his arms.

Kurt smiled, taking Blaine's hands in his own. Then he slowly sat back down on the couch, pulling Blaine with him. "Talk to me," he said softly.

Blaine took in a deep breath. "I'm just so embarrassed Kurt. I didn't want anyone else to find out. And to top it off I totally cried in front of everyone," Blaine said, his face resembling one of a kicked puppy. Kurt squeezed his hands reassuringly.

"It's okay. They're all your friends; nobody cares. And David was crying too. I think I even shed a few tears," Kurt explained gently, trying to make Blaine feel better. Blaine scrunched his eyebrows up confused.

"Really?" he asked. Kurt nodded. "But… I mean why were you guys crying?"

Kurt couldn't help the snort that escaped him. "Why?" he asked rhetorically. "Blaine! You were so terrified; and I just kept thinking about what would have happened if I hadn't been there. It scared the crap out of me. I couldn't bear the thought of ever losing you."

Blaine nodded silently. He was looking down at his and Kurt's hands interlaced. Kurt could see his lip quivering slightly.

"Baby, you know David feels really bad about what he did, right?" Blaine looked up at that, eyes shimmering. "He was full out sobbing. I don't think he could bear the thought of ever losing you either—especially if it was his fault. And Wes looked just as worried."

Blaine smiled a little. "It's not David's fault though," he explained. "I should have told them I couldn't swim. They didn't know, and they were just messing around like a normal teenage boy would do…" Blaine trailed off, averting his eyes back to his and Kurt's hands.

"Blaine you are just as normal as everyone else," Kurt reminded him. He knew what Blaine was thinking, and he needed Blaine to understand that just because he had differences from other people didn't mean he wasn't 'normal'.

"Baby, you're beautiful. You have the most wonderful personality as well. And I don't care if you can't swim. Honestly, it's not that big of a deal as long as you are honest with people about it from now on," Kurt said, freeing one hand from Blaine's grasp so that he could push Blaine's head up gently by the chin. Blaine gazed at him lovingly. Kurt smiled. "And you think those Warbler boys are normal? They all have a few loose screws if you ask me…" Kurt stated so seriously that Blaine couldn't help the giggle that escaped his lips.

"Thank you Kurt," he said, lunging forwards and latching tightly onto his boyfriend.

"For what?" Kurt asked, returning the hug.

Blaine pulled back. "For saving me," Blaine said softly before locking his lips onto Kurt's in a soft and passionate kiss. And Kurt knew that Blaine was thanking him for more than just saving him from the water. He smiled into the kiss, and then proceeded to deepen it further. Both boys pulled back eventually, gasping for air.

"I love you," Kurt stated resting his forehead against Blaine's.

"I love you too." Blaine placed his lips back on Kurt's, and they continued to move their lips together perfectly.

The end.
