Don't own Harry Potter
Black.
That was all Euphemia saw. Pitch black.
And she loved it.
A nawing feeling crawled at her stomach which growled. Euphemia tried to move but her limbs weren't cooperative.
Euphemia tried to speak but all that came out of her mouth was a rasp.
Euphemia tried desperately to think or do something but her mind and limbs weren't responding.
If she was honest, Euphemia had never been so sick in her life.
Euphemia tried again to speak or open her eyes. Her eyes flickered open slowly.
It was still pitch black.
Euphemia tried again to speak."Help." She croaked.
Her eyelids fluttered again and moaning, Euphemia drifted off into a dreamless sleep, hunger and exhaustion overpowering her.
Again she was awake and this time, Euphemia was gasping for air.
The hunger was getting worse by the minute and Euphemia wished she could die.
Euphemia reached out.
She touched wood.
Euphemia panicked and she opened her mouth and her mouth formed a word and the word slipped off her tongue.
"Monty."
Her husband, Fleamont Potter. Where was he and where was she? It was pitch black and stuffy and Euphemia could barely breathe.
Euphemia wished she could cuddle with Fleamont and smell the dust in his hair, hear his heart thumping underneath his chest. Euphemia just wished she could fall asleep in Fleamont's loving arms one more time.
Euphemia imaged herself slipping into bed with Fleamont beside her. She imaged her head dropping onto Fleamont's chest and she, Euphemia, closing her eyes as Fleamont stroked her hair, humming a Scottish or Welsh lullaby.
You are my sunshine,
My only sunshine,
You make me happy when the skies are grey,
You'll never know how much I love you,
Please don't take my sunshine awayyy.
That was Euphemia's favorite lullaby. It was one that Henry Potter, Fleamont's father, would sing to Fleamont when he was small.
Euphemia let the lullaby run around her head. It was comforting and Fleamont's voice drifted in Euphemia's mind...
You are my sunshine.
Euphemia felt two tears fall down her face when she heard Fleamont's croaky voice very, very faintly.
"Mia?"
