Chapter 17, enjoy! Thank you for all the views!
This next morning, Julie woke up snuggled into Tim's side with her hand over his large chest and his arm wrapped around her much smaller body. Tim was still sleeping, Julie could tell by the rhythm of the rising and falling of his chest beneath her hand. Julie didn't get up, she remained laying beside her boyfriend. She began to gently rub her thumb back and forth over the soft, worn t-shirt that Tim was wearing. He must have felt it, because his eyes began to flutter open. It took him a minute to get his bearings, but when his eyes finally opened and remained open, he saw Julie smiling beside him. Tim softly smiled back, pulling her closer into his side.
"Good morning," Julie eventually greeted him.
"I'll say. I could get use to waking up like this." Tim responded placing a kiss in Julie's blonde hair. They eventually got up, wondering into the kitchen to find something for breakfast.
A couple hours later, Julie had picked out a movie and they curled up on the couch to watch it. It was a cheesy Hallmark romance movie and Tim repeatedly pointed out that " they all end the same way." Every time he made fun of her movie choice, Julie threatened not to let him watch Remember the Titians, and he would give it a short rest. As the end of the movie was approaching, the unlikely pair was begennjng to fall in love - as Tim predicted. Julie felt a weird feeling in her stomach, a faint flutter. Her eyes went wide and her hands instinctively went to her stomach. Tim noticed, and questioned her to make sure everything was alright.
"You good babe?" He asked.
"Uh, yeah... I think I just felt our baby kick," Julie responded, eyes facing downwards and hands still protectively on her stomach. She grabbed Tim's hand and placed it where she had felt the flutter.
"I don't feel anything Jules," He stated.
"Maybe he will kick again in a little bit," Julie added, sad Tim had missed out on this milestone. This caused Tim's eyebrows to raise with interest.
"He. So you think it's a boy?" Tim questioned, somewhat teasingly.
"That kind of slipped out," Julie responded, "I don't have any idea what it is."
"What do you want it to be?" Tim asked. Julie pondered on it for a minute, she had always dreamed of having a little girl with blonde pigtails that she would dress up in cute little dresses, but recently she had found herself somewhat rooting for a boy.
"I always wanted a girl, but I am totally fine with either," Julie finally answered. "What do you want Tim?" When Tim thought of his future kids, he thought of little boys playing football with him in the front yard and teaching them everything he knew about cars and trucks. The more he thought about it, having a little girl that was a spitting image of his beloved girlfriend, would be amazing.
"If she was anything like her mother, a girl," Tim answered. "Now I would definitely need a boy in the house later on," Tim quickly added.
"So you want more kids?" Julie asked as a follow up to Tim's statement.
"Yeah, eventually." Tim confessed. "Probably two or three," he added, answering the next question Julie had.
About halfway through Remember the Titians, the doorbell rang. It was starting to get dark, so they figured it was a Trick-or-Treater. Tim paused the movie and Julie grabbed the bowl of candy from the table and answered the door.
"Trick-or-Treat!" A handful of kids greeted when Julie opened the door. She offered the children candy, complimenting them all on their costumes as Tim watched from the doorway with a smile.
Countless kids came by in groups over the next couple of hours. Some were dressed as traditional Halloween characters, others who were hardcore Panthers fans dressed up as football players. One particular kid came by dressed as a Panther wearing a number 33 peewee jersey.
"Trick-or-Treat! Julie, I dressed up as your boyfriend!" The kid excalimed when his family came by. When the doorbell had rang signaling this group, Julie had answered the door alone. Tim heard the kid's statement, and came to the door just before the kid left.
"Oh my gosh! It's Tim Riggins! Mom you have to get a picture of us!" The kid shouted when he saw Tim appear in the doorway. The kid stood next to Tim while his mom took their picture. Tim had made that kid's day.
"You are so good with kids Tim," Julie complimented once they were back in front of the TV. " I can't wait to see you with our little one in just a few months," she added. Julie gasped shortly after her statement, and quickly reached for Tim's hand to place on her stomach. She had felt the fluttering again, and didn't want Tim to miss out yet again. Tim's eyes lit up. She succeeded, he felt it. He was speechless. This was the most amazing thing he had ever witnessed. Tim searched for words as he and Julie wore the biggest smiles. He couldn't come uo with what to say, so instead of using words he passionately kissed Julie.
"I love you two so much," He finally said. He didn't know how you could love someone you had never met so much, but regardless, he loved Julie and their baby more than anything else in the world.
This has to be one of my favorite chapters so far! Anyways, I hope ya'll enjoyed! Be sure to leave a review, follow, fav, all that stuff. Also let me just add that I watched the series finale, and as much as I hate it being over the writers ended it very nicely, and that episode definitely ranks as one of my favorites.
Food for thought: what do you think Baby Riggins is, boy or girl? Comment your guess!
