Chapter 8- Millie POV
'Left, right, left, left 20 paces, We're here.' Smiled Charlotte. She was my best friend but the most annoying thing about her was how she always thought she was good at everything, not like bragging but more always being optimistic. Always smiling. We walked in and sat on one of the gym mats;
'Prepare to be beaten.'
I knew who that was a shot a
'Yes, Ruby prepared to be beaten.' Back
'Tochè' she smirked as our teacher walked in, I knew who that was just by the scent. Mr. Allanson always wore way too much deodorant. He smiled at us all;
'Let get started shall we. '
'We will play king of the mats first, just so I can get a feel for everyone's skill-set. '
I was always the best in our year at fighting my dad was British (MI6) and taught me how to punch and kick properly, while our school focused more on spy stuff like tailing, losing tails, planning, blending in (I heard that in the states Pavement Artists are gods at blending in but we've done it our whole school lives so it came naturally to us too) and hiding that was a big one.
I was placed with an Indian girl who I pinned down easily, then a British one then a Chinese girl. Now she was good, she kept flipping to avoid my punches and tried to jab a pressure point I pulled back just in time to punch her and pin her down.
Then there was 8 Me, Ruby, Yin-Yin, Lola? (YEP THAT'S RIGHT), two Chinese boys, a Blackthorne boy and a Gallagher girl. (in case you are wondering she knows what school they go to because she memorised all their faces ovi~)
I was fighting Min, a Chinese boy and we were even, him being quick and nimble avoiding my punches and me observant, pulling away before he jabs my pressure points. Briefly I got the upper hand and hit him pinning him down. I looked around and saw everyone had bet their opponents (even Lola) and I had to fight her. Tiny little Lola.
Ok I admit she was good, she kept dodging avoiding my punches, not fighting back, knowing I would get the upper hand if she attacked. Yin-Yin had bet Ruby and was sitting nearby watching us intensely. When my gaze flickered I expected Lola to attack but she just smiled and we kept on circling, me throwing punches and Lola dodging.
I could see her plan now she was trying to tire me out. Suddenly, I did a spin-kick aiming at her face but Lola caught my foot deftly with a raised eyebrow, clearly this was where she shined. I tried to spin her but she shifted her weight and jabbed some places in my leg making it go numb. She then spin-kicked me aiming at my one working leg and I fell over hot-faced and sweaty.
I got up, limped over to Ruby and sat down;
'How did you lose?' I asked
'Same way as you but she fought back.'
I sighed and watched as Yin-Yin and Lola circled each other. Easily Yin-Yin overpowered her blocking everything and pinning her down.
When Lola was pinned down after barely a minute Mr. Allanson unsurprisingly yelled,
'CHEATS, LOLA YOU DIDN'T TRY HARD ENOUGH!'
Lola shrank back behind Yin-Yin, but Yin-Yin just stood her ground and stared at Mr. Allanson and I swear he shrank back.
'I trained her.' said Yin-Yin as if it was the most 'Duh' thing in the world. I really do admire how she can stand up to a teacher that's fully trained in P&E, and can kill her with a Vogue magazine.
'Its like how you can beat students, you know their weaknesses.' Yin-Yin smiled.
'Unless you can't beat your students, of course.' Smirked Yin-Yin
This was a dangerous path and I did not like where this was going.
'HOW DARE YOU!' spat Mr. Allanson and he turned on his heel and marched out the room.
'That was nice.' Sighed Yin-Yin pleasantly, then she strode out with Lola hot on her heels.
Everyone (including me) was staring with open mouths at how rebellious Yin-Yin had been.
Me writing longer chapters now I want my word count to be big ok. ;)
