"Upon this day before God, may you all bear witness and pay respect to this distinguished man beyond all others who has risked his life countless of times for the wellbeing of the Midland's Kingdom. Sir Griffith, you have been deemed fit for this high estate by your peers, and have indicated your willingness to accept this honor from our hands. Do you now swear by all that you hold sacred, true, and holy that you will honor and defend the crown and Kingdom of Midland?" The King spoke, his voice echoing throughout the citadel as Griffith knealed before him clad in his shiny white silver armor with his signature purple cape. His helmet resting on the floor as he bowed his head in respects the ruler of Midland.
The sun shone in through on this prosperous day for the new knight and the knight's followers.
"I will."
"That you will honor, defend, and protect all ladies, and those weaker than yourself?"
"I will."
"That you will conduct yourself in all matters as befits a peer, drawing your sword only for just cause? That you will enshrine in your heart the noble ideals of chivalry to the benefit of your own good name and the greater glory of the outlands?"
"I will."
The King raised his sword, speaking forth again.
"Then having sworn these solemn oaths, know now that I, King of Midland by right of arms, ruler of the outlands, do dub you with my sword, lightning, and by all that you hold sacred, true, and holy... Once for honor... Twice for duty... Thrice for chivalry... arise, Sir Griffith!" The sword tapped his said shoulders gently to bless the man before him as a now knighted man of Midland.
Lords of the Midland army started to speak out of term to one another, their voices whispering like hand-maidens in a washroom.
"Tch, this is absurd. A rogue mercenary being knighted..."
"Oh my, what on earth has become of our great King? I wonder whatever is next for us."
"Ah, but the Hawks however were a great help on the battle field..." One particular male defended.
"Nonsense, those men are nothing but thieves outside of the wall."
"Nevertheless, their service in battle are still necessary. If we are negligent now we risk the factor of making ourselves obsolete."
The men looked to eachother, loss of words to the facts that lay before them.
All of the White Hawk mercenaries stood standing straight to the front. Their head held high, eyes watching their leader as smiles were present upon most of their faces.
Corkus spoke quietly, leaning down to whisper.
"See that? They have no choice but to honor us for distinguishing ourselves in battle, right Rickert?"
Rickert's blue eyes looked up on accord to nod.
"Mhm..."
"At last, it's farewell to the humble mercenary life. We've now been formally admitted into the King's armies."
"Hey, Corkus." Casca whisper-yelled, her bashing brown eyes staring blandly to Corkus as she spoke with haste. "We're in the middle of a ceremony. Would you please try to exercise a little decorum? From now on, everything we do will reflect on Griffith and yes, people will be watching us. There is no excuse to act like disrespectful mercenaries any longer, we have come too far."
"Okay, okay, I understand, Commander Casca." He muttered dismissively. "So annoying..." he whispered lastly.
"What was that?" Her brow rose immediately, looking to him alarmingly.
"Ah...we're at a ceremony." He tried to reason, stepping a bit further back from her.
Casca looked around, her eyes now recognizing that not only one but both of their Captains of the White Hawk missing.
Captain (Your name) and Captain Guts.
The Lord's clicked their tongue after hearing the distorted murmers of Commander Casca and Corkus speak. Darting their bland eyes away from the standing Hawks, one spoke distastefully.
"Kh, commoners."
(Your name's) P.O.V
I...I had to get out of there.
I was literally there for less than half the ceremony staring at that man until it clicked.
I knew I had recognized the King...
His face looked unchanged, his dull eyes, his sense of speech so impermissible to hear once again. The nostalgia.
My heart couldn't take it, sitting inside that royal chapel, looking to him again with my very own eyes again.
That man...
My fist clenched as I walked the field.
That man... was the one who impregnated my mother and basically disowned me. Made me into the maid girl I was, to stay in his castle unknown to the world, to be kept away from everyone and everything.
I was hoping I would never get to see his face again and now... I find out he's the one we've been serving this whole time?
I was only five...
I never remembered my mother, barely my father, or even my home Kingdom.
And to find out it's this place...to come back is...is-
"Hey." Guts abruptly spoke, seeing my eyes wide as if I was on the verge of having a panic attack. "What's with your face?" He bluntly spoke as I walked to him, clearing my throat.
He was outside in the empty field not too far away from the chapel, swinging his sword left and right for practice. Sweat lightly beaded his skin as he wiped his forehead.
"It's nothing."
Some very few brown or dull green leaves fell around us.
My heart never ceased to stop squeezing. All these countless emotions now pouring out of me as I tried to contain them once again as I always have.
Not even Guts shall know of my past.
It's my problem, not his.
Besides, I'm not even royalty, I'm not anything to him, I'm just a mercenary now.
That man will never recognize me from when I was five. It's impossible.
No one will ever.
His name is safe. Untarnished, and I will remain invisible to him. So why am I worrying?
"Why are you here? I would have thought you'd want to see Griffith be knighted like all the others."
My eyes averted around.
"Oh...I just...came looking for you..." I walked to him as he leaned against a tree, his sword next to him as a sigh escaped his lips.
"Things are changing again." He spoke breaking the silence between us.
I went to sit next to him, bringing my knees up to rest my elbow ontop of it and push my palm to my cheek, my eyes looked to the side at him.
"Yeah, things are changing once again. Everything eventually does. No one I believe stays the same."
His eyes averted to me.
"But you did. You're still the same in my eyes."
I gently smiled.
"What do you mean?" This peeked my curiosity to hear how I've been the same friend to him all these years.
"You're still weak and ugly as before-" I quickly punched his arm, the hit causing me to hurt much more than him as I realized his muscles were practically like rocks.
Damn.
I laughed a bit as he smiled.
"You changed though. You're more of an idiot as ever." I retorted.
"Hey, I've changed for the better." He defended as I leaned my head against the bark of the tree now.
He bent a knee upwards to rest his arm on, his blade laying on the grass besides his leg.
The wind blew slightly as I looked to see everyone now exiting the citadel.
"Ah, I guess it's over. Wanna head back?" He asked as I watched the King exit the chapel with his Knights guarding him all around.
"Yeah." We got up, now walking slowly to the chapel.
"You were there for the beginning of it right?" Guts asked, referring to the ceremony as I nodded, looking to all the beautiful women file out through the doors.
I saw the Band of the Hawk mercenaries come out too, some moments later.
I can't compare to them.
And I never will.
"Yeah, I was there but I left. The stuck up atmosphere was too much for me to take."
"Kh, I hear ya." Guts then latched his sword to his back strap as we approached.
All women and men of sorts crowded around Griffith outside, his white hair blowing slightly in the wind as I saw his eyes gaze upon a short girl next to the King walking.
Who...is that? My brows furrowed.
Seeing her walk over, the King went into the carriage to wait as I watched her approach Griffith around the crowded people.
"Let's just wait until it clears out." Guts offered as I slowly nodded, my eyes never leaving the girl's sight.
She has to be royalty of some sort, I concluded.
The girl and him exchanged a few words, his eyes gleaming upon the girl in the beautiful elizabethan styled dress. Her chocolate brown hair was put into two twirled braids adorned by jewels and a ribbon on the bottom of both.
Her blush was what I noticed the most, Griffith's handsome smile making her look the other way as a tall elder man with blonde mid length hair pushed passed me and Guts, making his way to her.
Asshole.
"Princess Charlotte, your chariot awaits. The King has called for you." The man spoke, his frowned deep wrinkles upon his face indicating just what type of man he was.
His eyes glared to Griffith as me and Guts stood within the crowd, my arms crossed.
"Ah, yes uncle Julius. I'm coming." The girl or now presumably Princess Charlotte spoke softly, her high pitched voice reaching my ears as my eyes narrowed. "Sir Griffith...i-it was nice meeting you." She bowed as Griffith did as well.
"As to you Princess." Griffith spoke as more people started to crowd around us.
Holding her dress, she scurried to the chariot which awaited her father as all I did was stare to her face. Her heels clicked with every step of the pavement as she walked.
She...looks nothing of me. She has fair supple skin, dark eyes, tiny lips.
She must look of her mother while I look like mine I suppose.
She hurried along accompanied by the blonde male and some knights guarding.
So the blonde guy is named Julius. I looked to his silver plated armor.
He must be the General of the Midland Armies then.
But her...
She's... my half sister.
"Hey, you two."
I turned my attention to see Casca before me. Her brown orbs as hateful as ever as she placed her hands on her hips. Guts looked too, his face seeming annoyed but oddly relaxed as he sighed.
"Where were you both? This was a once in a lifetime ceremony for Griffith's honor and for the Captain's of his band to miss it is something unheard of."
Me and Guts looked to eachother, our questionable faces confused as we both were asking silently, 'who should talk first?'
I stood quiet of course as Guts decided to speak for us both.
"Ah, look Casca we were just-"
"Save it. We can discuss both of your insolent behaviors away from noble eyes and ears." Her short hair tips blew slightly in the wind as I looked around. She then turned to leave, making me and Guts exhale for what's to come of her wrath later.
Guess I'll be avoiding her as much as Guts will.
Looking around, my eyes spotted Corkus and Rickert talking away, Judeau speaking to Pippin as he smiled.
Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves, even Griffith was smiling talking to noble women as other men filed in to hear his probable story of fights.
"Wanna go?" Guts questioned as I nodded.
"Please."
Griffith eyes followed us leaving, I acted as if I didn't notice but I did.
The only thing I hope he didn't notice was how I wasn't there to fully see him knighted as I promised.
The whole day, I was left avoiding Casca and her persistent way of finding me.
Deciding to go into town, I put on my black hood with my usual dark grey long sleeve tunic and black pants. My dark brown boots were set as I went to my horse quickly, my satchel on my back steady as I jogged towards the holding pin.
"Captain (your name)!"
I recognize that voice.
Looking behing, I saw that it was Edwin who shouted. His light brown hair being the only thing in my vision as he jogged to me quickly.
"Shhh!" I scolded getting on my horse.
"Wha?-" he approached me raising a brow.
"I'm hiding from Casca, I need to go." I looked to him as he spoke scratching his head.
"Oh, Commander Casca actually told us all that if we saw you or Captain Guts to report to her. I was calling you to tell you."
"No!" I whisper-yelled to him. "Don't let her know you've seen me. I've got to-" looking to the side, I suddenly saw Guts racing on his horse passed the mercenaries on the camp.
Why...is he riding away so fast?
Wait...
My eyes narrowed.
On his tail was Casca as he rode towards me now, my eyes widened.
"Is that...Captain Guts?" Edwin asked as I got ready.
"Go Edwin, don't get hurt."
"Hah!" I heard Guts yell as he rode passed me fast, my hair blowing in my face as Casca was soon to approach.
Whipping the reins of my horse, I started to race after him as Casca was right behind us, her eyes ablaze, set on probably killing us.
"You two! Watch when I tell Griffith of this!" She threatened, her voice making us both look back in suprise as I caught up to Guts.
"What the hell did you do?!" I yelled to him as he chuckled.
"Absolutely nothing! She just saw me and she started sprinting to me!" He defended as I now started to laugh.
"She's been after us all day after that ceremony." I reminded.
"What?!"
"She's been after us all day since the ceremony!" I repeated.
"Damn right!" Casca rode up next to us, trying to grab Guts' arm as he rode more to the side, bumping into my horse.
"Hey watch it!" I screamed.
Riding for another long few minutes, I looked to see the entrance to the Midland Castle up ahead some miles away.
"Hey! We can lose her in there! I bet she won't follow us!" I offered as he looked ahead, nodding. His red cape flowing behind him as Casca rode in fast. She was practically trying to stand up on her horse to reach us.
Going over the hill, me and Guts raced forth as I looked back to see Casca start to slow down.
"BASTARDS!" She yelled as I smiled, looking back forward to go to the entrance of the Kingdom. There was a horse stable just outside of the castle, my eyes looking to see if anyone worked it.
We now rode over the grass hills, the tree's leaves I spotted turning more yellow and brown signalling fall approaching.
I looked back to see Casca gone.
Good.
We now came to the entrance of the castle, riding up a moment later.
"Let's go inside. Just walk around." We rode slower on our horses as Guts nodded.
Making it up now on the hill we got off to go forth to the horse stable I was staring at not too long ago.
"Hello Sir~" I waved as the old man looked up from his chair.
"Hello young lady, what can I do for you two today?" He stood, his smile warming my heart to see others in this Kingdom so hospitable.
He observed Guts a lot as I spoke.
"How much is it to watch our horses for an hour or two Sir?" I walked up, guiding my horse forward, his eyes studying me and Guts.
"For Hawk soldiers, no charge. A lot of us in here are thankful for your efforts on the field enough already. We are forever indebted to your service ma'am." He tipped his hat slightly as I looked up to Guts surprised.
Guts spoke.
"Heh, thanks old man. Appreciate it." Guts walked up, handing him our reings as the man nodded.
Me and Guts smiled, walking away to the entrance of the Kingdom as the man shouted.
"It's my pleasure! You two lovers have a good time~" he said lastly, my face turning stark red after that sentence as Guts looked away, a small blush present on his face too.
"It's not like that..." Guts pursed his lip as we walked in.
It was silent between us, an awkward atmospheric tension was present until I spoke up.
"I can't believe he recognized us. Well... maybe it's because of you, I don't think anyone could forget your..." I looked to Guts' muscles, observing the sleek outlines of his shoulder blades or forearm strength. His brow raised as he awaited me to finish my sentence. "...body...stature." I concluded as he looked away.
"Maybe it's you and your mouth he couldn't forget. You have the most annoying voice."
"Fuck you." I threw back as he looked to me, a curve present on his lips.
We walked through the town, observing all the Inns, family houses, bars, and now markets.
"Want anything?" He asked as I nodded.
"I'm hungry a bit, what about you?" I asked.
"Yeah, I'll get something for us."
Walking up to a meat market, Guts bought dried meat for us as he left the coins on the man's wooden table.
Coming back, he handed me the sun dried meat as I took it, biting a piece to chew with delight.
We walked around some more, sight seeing passed a church now as an elder man outside in a grey hood yelled to the town's people, spouting nonsense of prophesies and Gods. The elder pointed to the sky, his very eyes searching for God as he suddenly yelled, making me and Guts stop walking to look.
"Oh Lord! Bless'ed thee, the prophesy child is among us all! Our new savior of our very Kingdom is coming! The sun and moon! The Alpha and the Omega! Our Ruler! The chosen one is coming forth soon to restore peace to our very existence, to cast out the evils of this world for us and to enlighten our ways with their word!"
Knights started to walk to the yelled man, his hand clutching some book.
"Hey, old man. By order of the King, disruption of peace is considered a crime. We're giving you a chance to quit that damned babbling before we throw you into the cells for the rest of your life. Got that?" The Knight held his spear as the elderly man looked to him, his eyes almost seeming to look right through the Knight in an uncaring manner.
Guts abruptly tugged my arm, taking my attention away.
"Let's go." He called.
Walking around some more me and Guts were talking about getting sharper weapons until I heard the shouting of a man, warning people.
Me and Guts looked to eachother, now walking to the sound of a crowd talking and looking upon a preformed play in the middle of a the crowd.
Ah, a play.
I wonder what about.
Me and Guts continued to go to the outside play. The members of it, I saw were trying to get the audience to make them think they are apart of it too by saying lines to the people.
The male went to a women whom was holding the hand of a child, speaking to her.
"Ma'am, haven't you heard of them? They're ruthless, they even got Sansevastian the Great in one single stroke. Do you think we can fight?" The actor asked the women as the little boy replied next to him, the fake Knight.
"Yes! Yes! Yes! You can fight them!" He gleefully shouted as the actor smiled, walking back to his grounded stage with other actors as a women approached him in a weird looking costume. I'm guessing she's an actor too.
"Vatirem, Sir, have you heard?" She read her lines as all the members were engulfed in the story now.
"No Parsein, what is ever the matter my dear?" He replied, holding the women's hand. In return, the women whispered something of the sort in his ear as his eyes widened.
"What?! I must alert everyone now then! Stay put my love!" The actor announced as he started to run throughout the audience, distressed.
"Everyone! We must evacuate! We have to go!" The man warned us all of this fairy tale enemy to come. Me and Guts were now at the front of the crowd, watching with a close up of the live action story.
I'm kind've intrigued by it.
The actor suddenly running up to Guts screamed, "They're coming! They're all coming in an army of thousands! They're coming to take our Queen and steal our very lives away! Have you heard?!" The actor asked.
Guts in return unsheathed his greatsword, grabbing the man's chest to bring the actor forward in a daring manner.
There were gasps all around as I even in return had a startled heart.
"Who is it and where are they coming from? Tell me!" Guts asked alarmed as the actor looked all around shocked, thinking probably he has made a mistake.
"A-ah, what?" The actor Knight asked as I quickly grabbed Guts' arm, whisper-yelling.
"Let him go, let him go! Idiot!" I repriminded as Guts did, the man quickly backing away to go back to his stage and do the rest of his lines. I, in return grabbed Guts away, going away from the crowd as I clutched my head.
"What did I do? That guy was telling me-"
"Guts, you idiot, it's a play! It isn't real you dumbass."
There was a sudden moment of comprehension in his brain as I swear I could hear the dots connecting.
"It's...fake?"
I started to smile, laughing slowly as Guts' eyes widened.
"What? Like-like actors n' shit?" He tried to piece it together as I nodded annoyingly.
"Hahahaha~ God, look at you. You're so used to being threatened or hearing of war that when someone is acting infront of you for entertainment you actually believe it." I grinned, laughing more as he now started laugh.
"Well it's not my damn fault, I wasn't even paying attention half the time so when he grabbed me what the hell was I supposed to think?"
I continued to laugh, holding my stomach as Guts rolled his eyes.
"It isn't that funny, idiot."
"Hey, hahaha~ Don't-dont call me an idiot when you were the one who- hahahahaha, who thought a play was real. What a dumb ass~" I leaned against a wall as he started to walk away obviously annoyed of me making fun of him.
"Aww Guts wait, I was just kidding~" I wiped my eyes from the stray tears as I jogged up to him.
It had taken me a long while to calm down as we walked through the village.
It was slowly becoming a walk of silence as I kept thinking over and over again on how Guts had mistaken that man for a real life distressed warrior.
We walked to the outside of the Kingdom now after an hour or two of shopping. We had bought some few dried fruits or meat again to take back to camp along with some other small supplies like gauges or medical equipment.
Walking out of the Kingdom and to the horse stables, we came across the old man again, feeding Guts' horse an apple as he looked to us appraoching.
"Ah, how was your journey throughout the Kingdom? Pleasant I hope." He looked to us, smiling as me and Guts nodded.
"It was very nice, but thankyou again for watching our horses."
"It's no problem at all ma'am, I'm happy to help. Both of them were real into the green apples I was feedin' them hehe'." The old man now opened the pin, letting our horses trod to us as I held mine by the reigns.
"Oh yeah, they're like that." I chuckled seeing mine come to me all happy and jumpy.
I then looked over him, noticing his long hair had been brushed.
"Ah, thankyou Sir for everything you have done for us."
Getting on our horses, we looked back to the smiling man waving as I waved back, trodding away.
"It's my pleasure~ You two lovers be safe now, it's gettin' dark." Me and Guts started to ride away as I looked back.
"We will!"
Guts immediately looked to me from my reply as I shook my shoulders.
"What? He was a nice guy." I defended as he looked away as we rode.
"Tch, it's not that. Idiot."
It was dark now as me and Guts arrived at the camp. I saw the same usual sparked fires flare. I pulled up slowly with Guts, now putting up our horses silently in the pin.
"Guess they're having a drink for Griffith."
"Yeah, they probably are." I replied.
Walking forth to the fires, I saw everyone was smiling, having a drink of celebration around but no where did I see Casca.
I exhaled.
Thank God. She must be asleep.
Walking forth, I suddenly remembered the mistake Guts madr at the Kingdom as I started to slowly chuckle.
"Kahaha~" I now laughed as Guts raised a brow.
"What's so funny (your name)?"
"Hahaha~ you, idiot. I still, for the love of God can't believe you did that." I continued to now laugh hysterically, holding my stomach as I tried to walk further.
"Oh God, get over it. It's not even that funny." He spoke irritated as I grinned.
Guts stopped walking to look to me as I leaned against his arm, laughing once more at his face.
He looked to pissed~
Others started to look as we approached the fire, Judeau walked to us with two glasses of probable wine as he smiled.
"Hey where have you two been all day?" He asked as I tried to calm down. Judeau then handed me my glass and Guts his own.
God, why was this out of everything so funny to me? Hahaha~
"We were in town getting a few supplies." Guts answered as he looked down to me to see my grin.
"Hey hey Judeau. Guess what Guts did." I started as Guts rolled his eyes.
"Oh my God (your name), not this shit again. I swear to God." Guts complained as we all walked to a place to sit with everyone.
"Heeey Captains~" Edwin waved as I smiled.
Griffith I saw was drinking next to Pippin and some other men as his eyes stared to me beyond the crackling flames.
"Whaaa? I can't tell Judeau the story, Guts? Are you that upset of it?" I asked smiling, wanting to so badly tell the story of Guts' stupidity. Guts now plopped down on a barrel to sit upon.
"It's not even that funny-"
"Oh it is Guts. Just lemme tell it~" I smiled as he looked away.
Dropping my satchel, I appraoched him, giving him a side hug as he drunk his metal tanker in his hand.
"I'm sorry~ Here look, I promise I won't tell. Mmkay?" I raised a brow as he tried to ignore me, looking the other way.
"Damn, I wonder what happened to Captain Guts for him to be so upset about the situation." Gaston spoke up as Guts quickly looked to him.
"Gaston, it wasn't anything even big to laugh about. I don't know why she even finds it so funny."
I stood next to Guts as I started to drink my drink.
"Oh, it was hilarious Gaston. I'll tell you about it only if Guts let's me though. I don't want the Captain to go to bed upset at me~" I reasoned as Gaston's eyes averted to Guts.
"Can she Captain Guts?" He asked as Guts exhaled a dramatic breath.
"Fine, whatever. Tell them." Guts drunk his drink as I smiled.
"Okay, so me and Guts were at the Midland Kingdom, you know exploring, buyin' food, fruit, even medical stuff when I out of nowhere heard the screaming of a man in town, yelling about God knows what. So, the curious beings me and Guts are, we walked over only to see a crowd of people all around a small platform of street performers acting out a play. I, of course wanted to indulge in this activity, so me and of course Guts walked forward to the front of the crowd to see all of the actors performing some play about war." I then took a breath, everyone listening in as even Griffith seemed to be intrigued by my tale as well. I continued. "Ah, so after a couple of minutes of watching, one of the male actors goes up to several of the audience members, asking them questions a part of the play like, 'have you seen them? Have you seen the enemies?' Blah blah blah- ya know?" Everyone nodded, understanding.
Most of them had smiles on their faces, their eyes watching me tell my story as they drunk their drink.
I continued~
"So, one actor in particular goes up to Guts, he's like 'there's a thousand evil soldiers of some sort coming this way haaaar! We gotta get outta here! It's the end of the world!' And Guts, like the idiot he is, fucking grabs the poor guy, lifting him up practically threatening him, saying 'where, where, where?' And hahahahaha~" I had started to laugh again as Guts looked away, he couldn't help but smile a bit as he drunk his drink.
"Hahahaha~ Captain Guts, did you not know you were watching a play?" Gaston laughed as Guts looked to him.
"Dear God I wasn't paying attention! You think I care about some idiotic play? Shit, when the man grabbed me, yelling at me that fucking enemies were coming of course I took it as a real thing!" Guts defended standing up as I continued to laugh, falling out of my seat on the wooden log.
"But hahaha listen, he fucking even pulled out his sword!"
"Whaaat?" Judeau started to chuckled as even Rickert started grinned.
Everyone was in hysterics even more at Guts' pain. Guts in return smiled, scratching the back of his head sheepishly as he spoke.
"Look, I didn't know." Guts sat down, rolling his eyes as everyone looked to him.
"Jeez Captain, I knew you were all serious and all but to pull out your sword in the middle of a play?" Gaston spoke smiling as I did as well.
I looked to see Griffith smiling a bit, his eyes contented on me and my laughter as I appraoched Guts, side hugging him again.
He looked like he wanted to laugh at his own mistake but I'm sure his pride wouldn't let him do that.
"Haha~ I'm sorry Guts. I just- I had to tell them. It was too funny." I smiled as he looked up to me, a curve of his lips present, making me feel much better as he wrapped an arm around my waist for my side hug.
"As long as you're happy, it's fine idiot." He smiled as I just took into account at what he said.
Everyone was still laughing a bit, buzzed upon the liquor as there was talk amongst us all now.
Did...Guts just say that?
My eyes stared into the flames of the fire.
"As long as you're happy, it's fine."
Guts let go of my waist from our now ending hug as my eyes averted to the opposite of the fire. Griffith's eyes were set upon us in an unhappy glare. He seemed to be in deep thought, his smile gone.
His once light azure eyes looked dark as he held his drink, not moving at all.
He...doesn't look too happy all of a sudden.
But, why?
Did I do something?
