Author's Note: Sorry for the late update! I've been doing so many double shifts at work, that I actually made myself sick. Anyways, don't worry! I have up to chapter 17 written in a notebook, so you'll get more chapters soon!
Chapter 7: Training...Start!
The dying light illuminated Izuku as he sobbed. He could feel William in the back of his mind as he tried to give him support, but he was just as shaken.
In his mind, he could hear everyone who told him his dream was pointless, that it was worthless echo around him.
It's never going to happen.
I'm sorry, Izuku!
Don't embarrass this pathetic school any further.
If you want to be a hero so badly, go jump off the roof and pray for a quirk in the next life!
He cried harder, and his body bent forward as he crouched on the ground. He could feel the sand burning his fingers, but he didn't care.
"It's okay, kid," he heard William say in the back of his mind. "I'm here. I believe in you too."
This seemed to strengthen him, and he finally looked up at the pro hero.
His eyes were soft as he took Izuku's form in.
"I guess that answers my question," the pro thought sadly, his heart clenching for the young man on his knees—tears still glistening in the light on his face.
"I'm sorry to spring this on you," Allmight said gently. "But, that's not the only reason I wanted to speak to you."
Izuku looked up at him in confusion, and he could feel William's wariness in the background. Izuku took a deep breath, and gave a signal for William to take control. While he trusted Allmight, he sounded serious and William has more experience.
William did as asked, however, he gave Izuku a 'passenger's' seat. The teen did have more knowledge about heroes.
Allmight observed the change in fascination. He hoped one day the teen would trust him enough to explain how he could change his presence so suddenly. It was like he was a completely different person.
"Why," William asked.
"So, he's back to being wary," Allmight thought. "I guess I do deserve it."
"I actually want to ask you something," Allmight said.
William's gaze sharpened as he stared at the pro in calculation.
"Go on," he said as he stood.
"You know about my injury, but I never explained my time limit," Allmight said as he gestured the teen to sit with him on a couple washers.
"You mentioned that earlier," William said looking at him in speculation. "With that injury, you probably can't handle your quirk long... How long do you have? A couple hours?"
Allmight blinked in surprise. Dang the kid was smart.
"Three," he admitted, hiding a wince—though William noticed it.
William nodded in acknowledgment.
"So, what does this have to do with me," the 'teen' asked crossing his legs and grabbing his chin in thought.
"My quirk is special," Allmight said. "You see, most people think it's just strength enhancement."
"They debate about it a lot on the news and online," Izuku said—briefly taking control—and then William continued the thought. "But, you always avoid answering the question by joking around. Is this secret dangerous?"
Allmight sat back in shock by the deduction. How does this kid keep on surprising him?
"It's diffidently something to be kept secret," Allmight admitted.
"So why are you telling me," William asked as he narrowed his eyes in suspicion.
"Because my power can be passed down like a scared torch," Allmight explained. "And, I want you, Young Midoriya, to inherit that flame!"
"Me," Izuku asked in disbelief. "Why?"
Why did you rush to save that young man," Allmight asked instead of answering.
"I-I don't know," Izuku answered. "M-My legs just moved on their own."
"You see, Young Midoriya," Allmight said. "Every hero has a story, and when they start, they all say the same thing. 'My legs just moved on their own'."
Once again, both Izuku and William were speechless.
"So, young Midoriya," Allmight asked. "Will you inherit my power?"
"It's your choice, kid," William said as Izuku went to ask the older man's opinion.
Izuku closed his eyes briefly in thought, and then he said, "Yes."

He was in a dark room. He thought it might be Freddy's Pizzeria, but it didn't look right. The pizzeria never looked this creepy. He was in the security room and he was looking at the cameras. He had no idea why he had the lights off. It was 2 AM.
He was sweating through his uniform. What happened to the air conditioning? Why was he using such a small fan?
Suddenly, he noticed that Bonnie and Chica were no longer on the stage.
What the hell?! He didn't program them to do that!
He quickly flipped through the cameras and heard Chica in the kitchen. He cursed under his breath in confusion as he continued looking for Bonnie. He couldn't find him. He put down the tablet and checked the doors. Bonnie was right outside.
He screamed in fright and slammed the doors closed.
What the actual hell was going on?! Did Henry reprogram them without telling him again?!

Izuku woke up in fight. He really needed to go through William's memories.
"I agree," William said when he pulled Izuku into his mindscape. "It's almost been a month."
Izuku grinned sheepishly up at the man. It wasn't like Izuku wasn't curious... It's just that between training with Allmight and school, he hasn't had time to look at them.
"However," William said as he gestured Izuku to sit with him. "I know you've been stretched thin lately, so I have a solution."
"What is it," Izuku asked, eagerly.
"I'm going to start filtering them in through your dreams," William said with a smirk.
"Was that what happened tonight," Izuku asked.
William shrugged and said, "It wasn't one I sent, but it was one of my memories."
Izuku shivered in fear. He never seen anything like that.
"Anyways, that's not the only reason I brought you here," William said as he crossed his arms.
"Is something wrong, Will," Izuku asked in concern.
"I noticed that Allmight has only been giving you strength training," William said.
Izuku nodded.
~Flashback~
Izuku jogged up the beach. He was almost bursting with excitement! He was going to get a quirk! It was like all his dreams were coming true lately.
First he found a friend in William. And, wasn't that strange that he befriended himself, even if it was a separate part of himself. He was then told by the number one hero no less that he could become a hero. And, although he felt guilty that he was getting praised for William's actions that day, William told him that he was crazy enough to do the same reckless thing.
The words may seem harsh, but Izuku knew that William was actually complimenting him, and showing that he would be worried for his safety. It made him feel warm that someone was finally in his corner.
He loved his mom, make no mistake about that. But, he felt that she gave up on him when he didn't develop a quirk. She's too overprotective, and she treated him like he was glass. It was like if he didn't have a quirk, he couldn't function normally.
But, William didn't believe that. Even though he ended up becoming extremely powerful when he possessed an animatronic, he still lived a normal life. A life before the dawn of quirks.
William was fascinated by his mind, and the way he broke down quirks. He actually believed that he could be a hero without Allmight's quirk. No one ever believed in him like that before.
Izuku really hoped that they didn't completely merge. He felt like he would grow too dependent on William. He was already starting to become like a brother to him.
"Good, your early," Allmight said jovially. "That's what I like to see! Now, I know that you were prepared to receive my power today, but your not ready yet!"
Disappointment flooded Izuku, and he could feel second hand anger poor out of William—who was listening in. Had Allmight changed his mind?
"Don't look so down," Allmight said seeing the young man's face. "It's only your body that's not ready. You see, my quirk stock piles the strength of it's previous wielders. And, while your already above average in strength than your body portrays, your body is still too weak to handle the presence of my quirk. If I gave it to you now your arms and legs will blow off."
Izuku's eyes widened in surprise, and William's curiosity peaked.
"What type of quirk could do that," they both thought.
"We're going to have so much fun experimenting," William said to Izuku.
"Yeah," Izuku sent back to William. "We are."
~End Flashback~
"The schedule is for the whole ten months before the UA entrance exam," Izuku said.
William nodded.
"And, while I agree that getting your body prepared for the quirk is important, I also think you're going to need more training," William said as he held Izuku's gaze. "Being a hero is going to take more than a quirk. We've both studied pro heroes. Now, we need to study villains. We need to up your analysis. But, most importantly, you need a fighting style."
Izuku looked at William in awe.
"You've been thinking about this for a while, haven't you," he asked the man.
William nodded and studied his younger self. He was starting to build muscle, which was good. He was lean, but his shoulders were starting to become stocky. He needed to adjust his exercises so the teen would develop a runner's build; he had the right size to become extremely swift. He also wanted to teach him how to wield knives. And, after that, dual blunt weapons...or maybe a staff?
"Yeah," William finally said. "You're not only relying on your fists."
Izuku gulped at William's calculating gaze. William was a hard taskmaster.
"I'm also teaching you robotics," William said.
"Really," Izuku gasped in wonder.
"Yep," William said with a grin. "You'll eventually gain my knowledge, but I want you to have your own style and creativity. Plus, that means we can design your own weapons and gear..."
