A little bit of a shorter chapter, but I wanted to leave off at the spot I did because what is coming up is so big that it needs to be explained in a separate chapter.
Until next time.
Well, if my life couldn't get any worse it has now. Not only was I wanted for a murder I actually did commit, but now I was also wanted for a double murder I didn't commit. The culprit as it turns out is someone who for some strange reason or another possesses the exact same green hues that I do. How the hell is this possible however? I only gained these hellish powers from a comet that crash landed in my tree house when I was a kid. Was there another comet that I didn't know about that granted someone else these powers? I don't know for sure, but what I do know is that my life just got way, way, way, worse.
God I wish I never accepted this job by Gaku. Why couldn't I have just accepted that ad for a hired gun from that strange blue mad doctor in Middleton? His only problem was some bratty teenager was intervening with his evil schemes. That would have been an easy payday. But no, I had to except Gaku's case, and now because of it, I am now wanted for three different murders. Fuck my life right now.
Taking some blue makeup I covered my face and any exposing skin in the blue makeup. Why blue you ask? Well for one if I was going to stay in the shadows I had to do all my investigating at night, and blue was harder to spot at night. And to it was the first thing of makeup I grabbed and I was at the desperation level.
After covering all exposing skin I looked in the mirror and nearly gagged at what I saw. Blue skin, red hair, all I needed now was some white space suit and I would look like some fucking weird alien space ranger. No even worse a space princess turned space ranger. God I hated where my life had turned right now, but if I was going to figure out what was really going on here, than the only way that was going to happen was if I stayed hidden.
The next step was picking out which clothes I was going to where while hiding in plain sight. Nothing, white as I was trying to avoid a alien space ranger look. Shades was an easy choice, it covered my eyes. The rest after that was the hard part. I always wore green it black, it was my signature look, and it was how my clients always new how to find me. But right now I didn't won't to be found. I finally decided on a plain black hooded cloak. It wasn't the most fashionable thing in the world, but it would do the job, and it wasn't white.
Next order of business, finding out who this new green glowing dude is and why he is trying to frame me? I already had a prime suspect of who hired him. The same guy who hired me. Why else would they kill Makiko's wife and daughter if they didn't want to try to get at me? Why else would they even know about them? Plus I had already made it pretty known to Gaku how I felt about him at the cemetery. Sadly though, just because I had a general idea of who could be behind this, doesn't mean I know where to look. I have no idea who the glowing dude is, and I currently have no leads outside of hunches. Until I know where to look, I am stumped.
As I got on my computer to see what I could dig up I suddenly heard my phone ringing. Looking at my collar idea I growled in disgust when I saw Gaku's name on the collar idea.
"Haven't you already caused me enough problems?" I growled when I answered the phone.
"I have the answers you are looking for," A new feminine voice replied on the other end.
"Who is this?"
Chiyoko Yamamoto, you already know my husband. If you want to know what's really going on meet me at the sight of the old hanger where you killed Akio at nine. There you will learn the truth of what's really going on."
"How do I know you are telling me the truth Mrs. Yamamoto? How do I know you are not in cahoots with your husband?"
"My daughter died because of him, I will do anything to make sure her death was not in vein."
Chiyoko suddenly hung up, and as I put my phone back in my pocket I was now left with even more questions. Gaku had told me that Akio killed his daughter, but before Akio died he denied having anything to do with the death. Now Chiyoko is saying that Gaku was involved in the death? I had no idea what to believe right now, but what I do know is that Gaku ruined my life, and if he was responsible for the death of his own daughter, then I will stop at nothing in order to bring him down.
Right at nine O'clock I drove at what was left of the old hanger, now just a giant scorch mark in the ground. Chiyoko was wearing a hooded sweater, trying to keep her face hidden as she stepped out of the shadows.
"You come alone?" Chiyoko asked.
"I am a wanted fugitive Mrs. Yamamoto, why would I not be alone?"
"Just trying to make sure your not being followed, Gaku has men everywhere."
"You said you have information on your husband that will help clear me. But why should I believe you would turn on your own husband like this?"
"I understand your doubt Shego, I would too if I was in your shoes. But you must believe me, he was the one that killed Michiko, he killed my little girl."
"What?"
Gaku, he is running something highly illegal behind our backs, when Michiko found out about it she was going to go to the cops. Gaku had her killed and staged it to look like it was a drug overdose, framing Akio in the process.
"If Akio didn't kill Michiko then why did Gaku have me kill him?"
"Akio and Gaku were big rivals in the Tokyo underworld. By setting him up for the death of his daughter, Gaku was able to get him out of the picture. By hiring you, his hands would be clean if anything went south."
"Which it has," I replied "There is still one thing I don't get. If you knew all of this, why did you not go to the police? Why did you wait until my life became a hell hole before speaking up?"
"I just saw him kill our own daughter," Chiyoko replied "He threatened he would kill me too if I said anything. I was scared."
"What is Gaku's end game? Why does he want with the Kitazawa's property? What is he operating?"
"Hes..."
Suddenly a green hue came flying from behind and shot Chiyoko in the back.
"NO!" I screamed as I grabbed Chiyoko as she fell into my arms. A big hole had formed in her chest. There was nothing I could do to save her, she was going to die at any moment.
"Chiyoko please," I cried hoping I could at least find out what Gaku was operating before she died. "What is your husband running?"
Chiyoko tried to answer me but she couldn't. All she could do was give a couple of gargles before she died in my arms.
"NO!"
Glaring off into the shadows I saw a shadowy figure with green glowing hands. The second he spotted me he took off running.
"Oh you are not getting away!" I roared as I charged up my hands and ran after him. I fired a green hue at him, barely missing him. Noticing my attack the shadowy figure turned around and started countering my attack. He fired a green hue at me as well causing me to dodge before running up to him. My hands still glowing I swung my left fist, barely missing melting his face off.
"Who are you?" I screamed "Why are you doing this? Why are you trying to frame me? What does Gaku want!?" I swung my fists again and again, firing hue after hue, but no matter how many attacks I laid on him I couldn't land a hit. I was experienced in several different martial arts as well as ninjutsu thanks to my mom pushing me so hard as a kid, but this guy was faster then anything I had seen. Despite all my skills I couldn't get a hit on him.
Wish I could say the same about my defensive skills, after two minutes of him playing defense he fired a single shot at me and struck me in the shoulder. I screamed as I fell to the ground and grabbed my shoulder. I didn't even need to look at it to know how bad the burn was, I knew my powers well enough to know that this was going to leave a pretty bad burn. The shadowy figure approached me and charged up another hue, aiming right above my face. Thinking fast I kicked the guy's hand sending the hue firing into the sky.
Getting up to my feet I charged my hues again ready for another go around when we both heard the sound of police sirens. Without saying a word the shadowy figure fled, with my injury I knew it was unwise to pursue him so I quickly fled to my car and drove off. Another murder I would no doubt be blamed for, and still left with some questions unanswered. Whatever Gaku was operating, he was willing to kill anybody in order to keep it from being revealed, including his own family. But unlucky for him as long as I was still breathing I was not going to rest until I found out the truth and took him to the grave. I will stop him, I was going to get justice more Michiko, Chiyoko, Makiko, and his family.
No matter what it took.
