Everyone has does nights you call the worst nights of your life right? Well for Santana that was definitely last night. She couldn't sleep every time she tried to close her eyes she saw Brittany in that alley again. But to make it worse Isabella kept waking up every half hour crying or having a nightmare and all she wanted was her mom. So that is the reason that they were sitting at the dining table at 5:30 in the morning with Isabella on Santana's lap sleeping. This morning Santana wanted to get out of bed by herself but Isabella woke up and clung to her so she brought her along with a blanket.

Not much later Thomas also came in looking as tired as the two girls. ''Had any sleep?'' He knew that both the girls were also having it hard. ''I haven't. Izzy slept a little bit but woke up almost every half hour asking for her mommy. Did you get any sleep?'' ''Yeah I think Iz will have a hard time from birth on she was never without Brittany in the night or longer then a day for that but she seems more relaxed with you. Brittany also told me what happened at the aquarium and that she stayed a bit calmer with you and it's good to see.'' And Thomas really was happy to see that. Brittany was like his daughter and knew that Brittany thought of him as a dad so in a way he was Isabella's grandpa and it was good to see that the little girl had a comfort in someone else. ''Thank you so much that means a lot to me when Britt told me about what happened and her story I couldn't believe what I heard and I wanted Britt to feel like she could trust me and I mean who could also not love this little girl she is a lot like Britt'' Thomas had to smile at that he could see the honesty in Santana's eyes. Isabella turned a bit and started to wake up ''mommy?'' Santana's heart broke every time she heard the little girl cry out for Brittany and Thomas must have noticed and he kneeled down in front of the girl. ''Mommy is still sleeping somewhere else how about I give you a bath and change you so we can visit her?'' Thomas was just as broken but he knew he had to be strong for the little girl. The girl was still kind of sleepy so didn't really notice much so Thomas took her off Santana's lap and took her upstairs. Santana went to grab a cup of much needed coffee that Thomas set and went to sit down again. She felt empty yet still her head was spinning but was quickly cut off by a little cry upstairs calling out for Brittany and for her.

She waited for a few moments but the crying didn't stop so she went to the bedroom and peaked in. In the room was Isabella whose bottom was naked but dirty and a Thomas who was trying to clean the girl but she wasn't having any of it. Thomas looked so tired and lost that Santana went in to help him out. ''I'll do it. Maybe you could grab a new cup of coffee and take a nap before we go?'' She knew that the situation around Brittany was stressful and having a little one next to it made it probably 4 times more stressful for the family so Santana wanted to do everything she could to help the family out. And with the thank you that Thomas just left out she knew she made the right choice. Seeing Santana's face calmed the girl a bit down at least enough to let Santana clean her bottom. Then Santana picked her up and carried her to the bathtub which Thomas already filled. She looked around and saw a plastic bag and rubber band and I little note from Brittany's mom to Brittany explaining Brittany a bit how to do it which Santana was very grateful for right now. She gave the girl a bath and cleaned her she then changed the girl in a diaper and some comfy clothes and got herself changed in some of Brittany's since she didn't have something with her. It went well for 15 minutes and then Isabella started crying again and then Santana remembered that the girl still breastfeeds so she must be hungry. Thomas must have understood as well because when she walked downstairs Thomas was already handing her a heated bottle to give to Isabella. Santana walked over to the couch and sat down and fed the girl some milk which was appreciated by her. She stroked softly over the girl face something Brittany explained to her and began to sing:

And by the end the girl was fast asleep again.

A few hours later they went to the hospital to find Brittany still looking the same and Susan in a sleepy state but gave a very tiny smile when they entered. Isabella was still fast asleep in Santana's arms which was a relief for everyone. Thomas gave Brittany a kiss on her forehead and then made his way out with Susan leaving Santana and Isabella alone with Brittany. Isabella woke up and found her mommy but became sad that her mommy wasn't waking up. Santana tried explaining it to her and saying that her mommy could hear her so the duo started just telling stories until the two adults came back with a doctor and a bed following behind them. ''It's time for Isabella's operation'' the doctor told her. Shoot Santana totally forgot and Thomas apparently as well. ''Uhm I am sorry sir, but I gave her a bottle of milk this morning'' she totally forgot the girl needed to stay sober but the doctor luckily quickly dismissed her saying it's not that big of a deal and that it has happened before. ''We are going to put her under anesthesia who will be coming with us?'' Santana looked to adults who just looked as lost as she was but she had to take care of Brittany's daughter and also noticing the parents might want some alone time she asked and with an okay she told the doctor she would be going with them. It was a struggle to get Isabella away from Brittany but eventually she did and laid her down on the hospital bed. They were going in a special room and put Isabella to sleep with Santana watching over her. Once she was asleep they told her that they would put her in the same room as Brittany and how long it would take. With that information she took off back to Brittany's room. She knew the adults needed to be alone for a moment so she gave through the information and gave Brittany a kiss on the cheek and forehead with a little whisper saying: I will be back later. ''Santana will you be back later?'' Thomas asked noticing that the Latina was leaving. ''Of course I will.'' And with that Thomas fished out his keys out of his pocket. ''Here take our car we aren't going anywhere and you have done so much for us especially with Isabella we aren't going to let you walk.'' ''Thank you I will just go home to freshen up a bit is there something any of you need?'' ''No problem dear. Maybe get some stuff for Isabella and I packed a bag for Susan but I forgot it it is in the living room my house key is on there you can just go in'' ''Okay'' with a final kiss for Brittany she walked out and drove home.

The ride home had a weird silence and it kind of crept her out. She took a bit longer of it since she took a detour she didn't want to pass the alley she couldn't. The first thing she did when she got home was just collapsing on the couch with her parents cuddling her. She was so tired and lost it drained her in every way. She was shook out of it when her phone rang. She hoped it was Susan with good news but it was just Rachel. ''I know you don't feel like it Mija but maybe you should answer it could distract you'' and Santana knew her mom was right so she answered. She went up to her room and talked over the phone for an hour. After ending it she went to take a much-needed shower. She still was feeling lost and tired but the distraction was good. When she was done with the shower she heard an unusual noise coming from her room. The closer she got the better she could hear it. Q calling. Q calling. Q? Oh right Quinn her best friend. She looked over and saw Brittany's phone there. She took it when she was dressing Brittany last night and forgot about it. She debated on answering but decided to do it I mean if she were in this situation she would want to have people who would let Rachel know so she answered.

Omg B I have been trying to call you for ages what got you so busy?
Uhm hello?
Wait you… you aren't Britt?
Uhm no my name is Santana you're Quinn right?
Uhm yes I am is everything okay? Why isn't Britt answering her phone?
Well…..

Santana told Quinn the whole story. She heard the girl cry she thought that maybe she shouldn't have told but Quinn quickly thanked her for telling. After the whole story they exchanged numbers and Santana promised to keep her updated. ''Mija are you done?!'' ''Yeah I am Mami!'' ''Okay maybe you should check your phone!'' Santana didn't check her phone yet after she got showered. She quickly reached over and saw that she had missed calls from Thomas and Susan and she quickly dialed back. As soon as they picked up Santana started rambling.

Everything okay?!

Santana dear everything is still the same
Oh okay oh you must want your car back sorry it took a bit longer and yeah
Honey that's okay we hope we don't ask to much by asking you if you could come back to the hospital there is someone that kind off need your special comfort I think.

Santana could hear Isabella crying in the background and made her way down the stairs. She waved at her parents signaling she was leaving.

Of course I am on my way.

And with that she took off to the Pierce house for their stuff and then to the hospital. Once she reached the hospital she parked and got out. She went up to the room and quickly calmed the little girl down. She took care of the little girl and comforted her and this went on for 4 weeks until one day it was different.

There was always one day in the week where Santana would leave the Pierce family with the three of them alone in the hospital but the story always was the same because she could always hear the little girl cry. She would go in and comfort her and the story went on but today was different.

She came out of the elevator and was surprised when she didn't hear crying she walked closer to the room and still no crying. At that moment Thomas and Susan both came out crying. Thomas held Susan close and looked at Santana with tears and nodded his head towards the room.

To say Santana was scared was understatement because she wasn't prepared for the sight to be seen. In de room was a sleeping Isabella that was resting on her mommy's chest while Brittany was looking out of the room and stroking her daughters hair.

''Britt?''

She couldn't believe it. After 4 weeks Brittany was awake. Brittany turned her head to see where she was called and then a very tiny smile appeared.

''Hey San''
