The food tasted bland in Bonnie's mouth, but she continued to eat the breakfast that Elena had prepared for the house.
She sat at the table by herself. It was pretty late in the morning so everyone else had had their breakfast and were getting ready to head out for the day. She told Damon that she was hungry, but it was a lie as she had to force herself to eat. Food was the last thing on her mind. She hated that she could still feel the ghost of Damon's hands touching her naked body so intimately, his fingers gliding along the lips of her pussy. If they hadn't been interrupted there was a really good chance that he would have fucked her right there in the bathroom.
Just the thought of it made her stopped eating all together and she pushed the plate away no longer able to finish breakfast.
Her fingers began to tap anxiously against the top of the table with her right foot jiggling just underneath it making her leg shake up and down with nervous energy.
Damon didn't hurt her this time, but the experience of having him touch her in that way was still very traumatic for her. She hated every second of it.
Bonnie didn't know how she was going to pull this off when his mere presence alone was enough to make her sick to her stomach. But somehow she had to.
Everything hinged upon getting Damon to let down his guard and trust her.
If she was going to do this then she had to make him believe that she was down 100 percent with being his woman and doing everything that entailed, including fucking him.
She had to make him believe that she had his back.
That she was ride or die.
She had to become that chick in order for this to work in her favor.
And it was time to slip into that role as she heard Damon talking to someone just outside of the dining area before entering the room.
Getting up from the table, she went to meet him half way, standing close but not too close to him.
"Are you having breakfast?" She asked, wanting to smile up at him but she couldn't get the muscles in her face to obey.
"Yeah. I was just about to grab a bite. Have you finished already?" His gaze moving just above her head into the dining room at the table.
"Yeah, I'm done but I can go make your plate if you want me to."
A glint appeared in Damon's blue eyes before he suddenly made a grab for Bonnie, wrapping his arms around her waist, pulling her petite body up against his own.
She gave a tiny startled gasp, her green eyes growing wide in her pretty face as she braced her hands against his chest trying not to show her panic. But her heart was ready to leap out of her chest.
"I would love that." He grinned down at her, looking truly happy by this turn of events.
Bonnie held her breath as his handsome face leaned down toward hers and he lightly brushed his lips against her mouth.
She stood still inside of his strong embrace.
After a few moments of her not responding to him, Damon pulled back a little with a slight frown to his brow.
"When I kiss you Bonnie, I want you to kiss me back."
He searched her eyes and she nodded her head.
Pressing his mouth against hers once more, Bonnie began to move her lips underneath his with her eyes squeezed shut and her nostrils slightly flaring.
His arms tightened around her body as he deepened the kiss even more and his mouth moved over hers with such possession that it stole her breath away. Literally. Making her want to push him off of her, but she didn't dare act on instinct.
The worst part was when she felt him growing hard against her.
Her body began to tremble with fear.
She couldn't help it.
Bonnie finally tore her mouth away from his not being able to take it. "I-I'm sorry...it's just that I couldn't breath any longer."
It wasn't a total lie. He was kissing her like neither one of them needed air to survive.
Damon stared down at her, his blue gaze hot with desire and then it was as if he mentally checked himself because his face softened becoming relaxed, his expression almost playful.
"Don't be sorry. I guess I got a little carried away."
When his arms fell away from around her body, Bonnie silently sighed with relief and she instantly took a step back, putting space between them.
"I'll go get your breakfast."
As she made a move to leave, his arm shot out gently grabbing Bonnie's elbow and she stopped to turn, looking up at him expectantly with a raised brow.
"Will you keep me company while I eat?"
Damn, Bonnie cursed inwardly. She thought once she served him his breakfast she could leave his presence for a while to collect herself.
"If you want me to."
"I want you to."
"Okay then, I'll be right back. Sit."
For a second there, it looked like he wasn't going to let go of her arm. He just stared at her as if he was wondering about something in his head and then after a moment he released her.
As Bonnie made her way to the kitchen, she kept telling herself to relax because she could feel the tension throughout her whole body, especially in her shoulders. They felt so stiff.
She hated how Damon touched her with such confidence as if she belonged to him and he had every right to do so.
Thinking about it made her angry inside and she took her aggression out as she sloped the food down onto the plate. She grabbed the orange juice and poured Damon some into a clean glass.
For one split second it crossed her mind to spit into the juice.
Jeremy walked into the kitchen and when he saw Bonnie there, he suddenly came to a stop mid-step debating whether or not to come back later.
Like with everyone else in the house now, Bonnie fed him with a long handled spoon.
Her back was turned to him, so she wasn't yet aware of his presence.
Jeremy watched her pick up a plate and then turn towards him. His heart became stuck in his throat as her pretty green eyes turned cold when she saw him standing there.
He swallowed hard. "Good morning, Bonnie."
"What's so fucking good about it?!" She snapped angrily, walking right past him where she almost ran into Stefan who was entering the kitchen at that exact moment.
"Morning." He said.
Stefan could kiss her ass and then go to hell like all the rest of them.
He watched her walk past him without uttering a word.
Seconds later Bonnie was coming into the dining room and she placed Damon's breakfast on the table in front of him.
"Thank you. It looks really good." He said smiling up at her.
He was acting like she was the one who cook the food for him.
As if.
Bonnie sat down in the chair beside his and watched as he dug in and began to eat, and then she thought of something.
"I was thinking if Elena didn't mind, that maybe she could teach me how to cook."
Damon stopped eating and turned to her with a pleased smile on his face. "You would do that?"
Her slender shoulders lightly shrugged. "I mean yeah...it's what you wanted right?"
"Yeah it is." He said reaching out to touch her face. "Come here." He said softly, his hand sliding behind her neck and gently pulling her to him.
Bonnie leaned forward into Damon's kiss, moving her mouth tentatively against his.
The satisfied groan he made deep within his throat made her want to puke.
Before pulling away Damon licked Bonnie's lips with the tip of his tongue and it took everything in her not to drag the back of her hand across her mouth in disgust.
When he went back to eating his food, she slyly wiped away the wetness from her lips as she cleared her throat.
"So are you going to the warehouse today?" She asked conversationally, not really knowing what to say to him.
"Yeah for a few hours then I'm going to head over to the docks. I should be back around six. Maybe we can do something tonight...like go to dinner."
Bonnie's brows drew together in a slight frown. "Wait. You want to take me out to eat...like a date?"
"If that's what you want to call it. I'm fine with that."
Bonnie honestly didn't know what to say.
"Klaus took you to a fancy restaurant for dinner at least once a week." He said casually before picking up the glass of orange juice to drink.
The frown on her face deepened, not understanding what Klaus had to do with anything.
"Though I wouldn't call that dating considering the two of you were never intimate. He was gay wasn't he?" Damon asked pointedly looking at her, wanting confirmation of his suspicions.
Bonnie swallowed hard.
Damon's jaw tensed. "Answer me."
"He's dead, so what does it matter?"
"Because I want to know."
"It's none of your business!" She blurted out.
Bonnie didn't know whether or not the horrible things Damon said about Klaus were true, but what she did know was that he was good to her. He was there when she had no one in the world to turn to.
He protected her.
And now she would protect him by keeping his secret.
Damon's anger was swift as his fist came down really hard and pounded against the table, making everything in front of him move with its impact.
"Tell me gotdamit!" He bellowed at her.
Bonnie jumped in fright by his sudden explosive anger. Lowering her gaze from his harsh unforgiving glare, her body began to tremble.
Her voice sounded so small, even to her own ears. "It's not for me to tell. I'm sorry Damon. But I just can't betray Klaus's trust like that."
Damon grabbed Bonnie's face, forcing her to look at him.
"Please." She begged, her hands moving to his wrist. Needing him to let her go.
His eyes were so cold. So unfeeling. It was almost like he wasn't human anymore.
Bonnie felt her heart drop.
"Fine keep his secret. But that same loyalty you have to him, you will give to me."
Bonnie's eyes filled with tears as she tried to pull away, but Damon wouldn't allow it.
The grip on her face tightening almost painfully.
"I want everything from you. Do you hear me Bonnie? Everything! And I will have it." He promised her.
A tear escaped from her eyes, slowly rolling down her face.
Bonnie had never hated someone so much in her entire life.
She sat on the front porch of the boardinghouse by herself staring at the acres of green land before her.
Thankfully, Damon was gone and she could breathe again.
But her peace was short lived as the screen-door opened and then slammed shut.
Bonnie watched as Stefan came to stand a few feet away on the porch leaning against the railing.
She rolled her eyes.
As big as that damn house was he couldn't find another spot to smoke a cigarette?
After a minute or two, he finally broke the silence between them.
"You know, it wasn't very nice snapping at Jeremy the way you did this morning. He's a good kid."
Bonnie's jaw tensed, her gaze unwavering as she continued to stare out at the open land in front of her.
"Are you always so rude to people?" He asked, blowing smoke into the air watching her.
If Stefan wanted to get Bonnie's attention, he certainly had it now.
She started to laugh and it was bitter. "Wow. So rudeness is a major offense around here, but kidnapping and rape is more than acceptable? Gotcha. Thanks for the heads up. Now I know."
Stefan had the decency to lower his gaze to the ground.
"No one is keeping you hostage here Bonnie." He said lowly.
The fact that he uttered that with a straight face made Bonnie want to give him a round of applause as she thought back to that first day when Jeremy prevented her from leaving off of the property.
"Is that right? So if I were to try and leave, no one would stop me? Not even your brother?"
Stefan began to speak then stopped quickly closing his mouth shut.
"I thought so." She sneered.
"Bonnie you need to understand something, my brother is...Damon is..."
Not waiting for Stefan to find the right words he was looking for Bonnie supplied a few for him.
"A rapist...a lunatic...a murderer."
"Shut up!" He yelled at her.
For a minute there, Bonnie thought he was going to cover his ears like a petulant child.
"Why? Where's the lie Stefan?"
The two of them stared at each other and finally Stefan was the first one to look away.
"He's my brother." Was all that he could say.
"And that makes it okay? Your brother raped me. And none of you fucking cowards did a damn thing to stop him. In my eyes that makes you just as bad as he is, maybe even worse. All of you might as well have been up in that room too and had a turn because you're just as guilty."
Stefan swallowed hard as Bonnie's angry green eyes bored into his very soul.
He couldn't have looked away from her if he wanted to.
Because it was in that very moment that Stefan Salvatore realized that Bonnie Bennett was going to make them all pay for what Damon did to her.
