"Who finally decided to show up for work. Yay." Stoick says as he is talking with Gobber as Alexis and Hiccup land on their dragons near them.
"Sorry. Got held up. Hey dad could I have a word?" Hiccup asks as he goes over to his father.
"Something you're itching to tell me?" Stoick asks as he looks at Hiccup.
"Not quite the itch you're thinking of but yes." Hiccup says as he tries to get his father to listen to what he is trying to say.
"But seriously I really need to tell you about this newland we came across." Hiccup says as Gobber looks at him in surprise.
"Another one?!" Gobber asks in surprise as Fishlegs and the other riders come over.
"Any new dragons?" Fishlegs asks hopefully as Alexis shakes her head.
"We didn't stick around to find out. These folks weren't particularly friendly." Alexis says as Astrid looks at her.
"There were people on the island?" Astrid asks as Alexis nods.
"Oh really? Your Night Fury and Furfang didn't bring them cheering to the rooftops?" Gobber asks.
"No this was different. Not the standard run-for-the hills hoo-ha I've come to enjoy. These guys were trappers. Dragon trappers." Hiccup says as Alexis nods.
"You should've seen their fort. All blown apart and stuck in giant spikes of ice. It was weird." Alexis says.
"I've never seen anything like it. And worst of all they thought we did it!" Hiccup says.
"Y'know you two are gonna get yourselves in serious trouble one of these days. Not everyone appreciates this way of life." Gobber says as he turns on a mechanical saw.
"Gobber's right son. Best we keep to our own. Besides you'll have more important uses for your time. Once we make the big announcement!" Stoick says as Gobber turns off the mechanical saw.
"They are building a dragon army. Or.. or at least the guy they work for is. Ah Dargo Bloody Fist or something." Hiccup says as Stoick and Gobber exchange expressions.
"I'll bloody his fist with my face if he tries to take my dragon!" Tuffnut says angrily.
"Or mine!" Ruffnut says as Alexis looks at her.
"You're such a moron." Tuffnut says as he looks at his sister.
"A beautiful moron." Fishlegs says happily.
"Yeah.." Snotlout says dreamily as Ruffnut gives a face of disgust while Astrid rolls her eyes.
"Bludvist? Drago Bludvist?" Stoick says as Hiccup looks at him curiously.
"Uh yeah. Wait. You know him?" Hiccup asks.
*Timeskip*
"Secure the stable! Latch every stall!" Stoick shouts as people are getting their dragons to safety as Alexis notices Hiccup about to get on Toothless and runs over with Dulce.
"Hiccup don't!" Alexis says worriedly as Hiccup looks at her.
"I have to." Hiccup says as he kisses Alexis before getting on Toothless and begin to make his way towards the exit.
"Dulce after them." Alexis says as she gets on Dulce as the two follow after Hiccup and Toothless as the four make it out barely as Stoick is shouting for them to come back.
*Timeskip*
"Are you sure about this Hiccup?" Alexis asks as they see Eret's ship in the distance as a net it fired at them but misses.
"Nope but when am I ever? Just stick to the plan and we should be fine." Hiccup says.
"Okay girl. You heard him." Alexis says as Dulce roars worriedly before the group lands on the ship.
"And here I was worried we might turn up empty-handed." Eret says as Alexis holds up her sword only for Hiccup to dismiss her.
"Nope. It's your lucky day. We give up." Hiccup says as Eret gives a shocked look while Hiccup gets off Toothless and Alexis gets off Dulce hesitantly.
"That's one Night Fury, one Furfang, and two of the finest dragon riders west of Luk Tuk. That oughtta make the boss happy right? Excuse us." Hiccup says as he begins to lead Alexis over to a cell.
"What are you doing?" Alexis asks nervously as Hiccup closes her and himself in a cell while Toothless and Dulce roar concernedly wanting to follow.
"Toothless, Dulce stay. The dragons don't really care for cramped spaces so they'll just hang out with you. They won't be any trouble." Hiccup says as Eret's men pull out spears and swords causing Dulce and Toothless to roar.
"Unless you do that." Alexis says.
"Wooden boat, big ocean. How's your swimming?" Hiccup asks.
"Not good." A male says before a flame bursts through the live well causing the crew to jump back as Hiccup stabs his flame sword through the grate.
"Oops. Almost forgot. Can't have armed prisoners." Hiccup says as he offers the small male his sword while the male cautiously takes it.
"How is this a plan?" Alexis asks as she looks at hiccup.
"Just what every Dragon Trapper needs. One end coats the blade in Monstrous Nightmare saliva. The other sprays Hideous Zippleback gas. All it takes is a spark and... Oh yeah there you go! Once they see you as one of their own even the testiest dragon can be trained right bud?" Hiccup asks as the male accidentally sets off the gas and another causes the gas to explode.
"Give me that! What game are you playing?" Eret asks as he takes the sword and throws it towards the ocean as Dulce chases after it.
"No game. We just want to meet Drago." Hiccup says as Dulce brings back the sword only for Eret to throw it again and her chase it again.
"Why?" Eret asks.
"Because I'm going to change his mind about dragons." Hiccup says bluntly as Eret and his men laugh while Dulce brings the sword over wanting to play.
"He can be really persuasive." Alexis says as she and Hiccup come half way out of their cell.
"Once you've earned his loyalty there is nothing a dragon won't do for you." Hiccup says as Dulce tries to get one of the crew members to play.
"Puh! You won't be changing any minds around here." Eret says as Hiccup pushes a lever on Toothless's prosthetic tail causing it to spread out.
"I can change yours. Right here. Right now. May I?" Hiccup asks before getting snatched by a dragon.
"Dragon riders!" Eret shout as crews begin firing nets while toothless roars worriedly before he, Alexis, and Dulce see it is Snotlout, Fishlegs, and the twins flying around before Hiccup begins to use his flying suit to glide back towards the ship.
"Hold your fire!" Alexis shouts as she pushes Eret away from a net catapult as Hiccup lands on the ship while Gobber and Stoick arrive.
"What are you guys doing here!?" Hiccup asks angrily.
"We're here to rescue you!" Gobber says.
"I don't need to be rescued!" Hiccup says angrily.
"Enough!" Stoick shouts as Eret goes over to him.
"Well didn't you just pick the wrong ship eh? I am Eret son of-" Eret then gets cut off as Stoick shoves him only for Gobber to knock him to the ground while his dragon pins him to the ground.
"Get... this... thing... off... me!" Eret shouts as he tries to get loose from Gobber's dragon.
"Anyone else? That's what I figured." Gobber says as Eret's crew doesn't do anything.
"You. Saddle up. We're going home." Stoick says as he looks at Hiccup angrily.
"No." Hiccup says sternly.
"Of all the irresponsible-" Stoick then gets cut off by Hiccup.
"I'm trying to protect our dragons and stop a war! How is that irresponsible?" Hiccup asks.
"Because war is what he wants son!" Stoick shouts angrily as others look at him before Stoick sighs.
"Years ago there was a great gathering of chieftains to discuss the dragon scourge we all faced. Into our midst came a stranger from a strange land covered in scars and draped in a cloak of dragon skin. He carried no weapon and spoke softly saying that he Drago Bludvist was a man of the people. Devoted to freeing mankind from the tyranny of dragons. He claimed that he alone could control the dragons and he alone could keep us safe if we chose to bow down and follow him." Stoick says as others laugh.
"Stupid." Ruffnut says.
"Good one." Tuffnut says amusedly.
"Aye. We laughed too... Until he wrapped himself in his cloak and cried out then see how well you do without me. The rooftop suddenly burst into flames and from it armored dragons descended burning the hall to the ground. I… was the only one to escape. Men who kill without reason cannot be reasoned with." Stoick says as Alexis and the other teen riders give disturbed looks.
"Maybe." Hiccup says.
"Hiccup.." Stoick says as Hiccup gets on Toothless.
"I'm still going to try. This is what I'm good at. And if I could change your mind... I can change his too. Come on." Hiccup says as he leaves on Toothless while Alexis gets on Dulce.
"Let's move girl." Alexis says as Dulce gets ready to take off flying before Stoick dismisses her.
"No! Lead the others back to Berk. I've had enough mutiny for one day." Stoick says.
"Ooh I like that." Ruffnut says as she is looking at Eret who is still pinned.
"Ruffnut!" Stoick shouts.
"Ugh! Okay!" Ruffnut says as he kisses Eret who gives a look of disgust.
