McFly Residence Hilldale
(The doorbell rang as Marlene rushed down the stairs to open it)
Marlene: Coming! Hang on! (opens door) Grandma Lorraine!
Lorraine: Sweetheart!
Both: Hi!
Marlene: What happened to grandpa?
Lorraine: Oh he threw his back out again.
George: (In a wheelchair) How's grandad's little pumpkin?
Marlene: How did you do that? How did he do that?
George: Oh out in the golf course.
Lorraine: Are your folks home yet I got pizza for everybody.
Marlene: Oh who's gonna eat all that?
George: Oh I will.
Marlene: Very funny grandpa. As you were saying, dad should be home in about any minute now. You never now when mom's coming home and Jr. should be home any minute now too.
Lorraine: I can't believe this window's still broken.
Marlene: When the scene screen repair man called dad a chicken, dad threw him out of the house, and now we can't get anybody to fix it.
Lorraine: Oh look how worn out this is. Your father's biggest problem Marlene is that he loses all self-control whenever someone calls him chicken. How many times have we heard it George?
Both: Mom I can't let them think I'm chicken. Your right well you're right.
Lorraine: About 30 years ago your father tried to prove he wasn't chicken and he ended up in an automobile accident.
Marlene: Oh you mean the one with the Rolls Royce? I know that story.
Lorraine: Yes, that was the worst chicken dare he ever made in his life.
George: And yet 30 years later Marty still doesn't realize that the whole thing was his own fault. If he had used some common sense, his life would have turned out much better today.
Marlene: The family life would've turned out better if it weren't for that event. And yet it still hits my dad hard today.
Lorraine: That accident caused a chain reaction that sent Marty's life straight down the tubes. If not for that accident, your father's life would've turned out very different. The man in the Rolls Royce wouldn't have pressed charges. Marty wouldn't have broken his hand and he wouldn't have given up on his music. And he wouldn't have spent all those years feeling sorry for himself. I think the reason your mother married him was because she felt sorry for him. Such a sweet girl. She deserves the credit.
Marlene: Life would also be better today if Dad hadn't been expelled from school senior year and if mom hadn't dropped out of high school senior year because of this accident that affected them emotionally.
Marty Sr.: Hey hey hey! Dad's home! That's right! He's home! He's home! Hello hello! Hello? Hey son. Watching a little TV for a change? Is that my mom? Is that my mom?
Lorraine: Marty! (kisses him on cheek)
George: Hi son!
Marty Sr.: Hey dad what happened to ya?
George: Oh out in the golf course.
Marty Sr.: Dad I told you to watch your back.
Lorraine: He couldn't help it Marty. How's work?
Marty Sr.: Oh mom you know. That promotion is right around the corner. Anyways I'm starving let's eat. Come on son time for dinner.
Marty Jr.: Dad I'm watching this awesome program.
Marty Sr.: Mr. we eat at the dinner table when your grandparents are here.
Marty Jr.: Ok dad.
Marty Sr.: Kids these days
