Chapter 9

The next morning when Jack checked the bedrooms to make sure they'd left. only Marigolds was empty. Elsa's things were still there, prompting Jack to head back to his room until she'd taken the hint and left too, or at least that was the plan until he caught a whiff of a peculiar smell coming from the kitchen.

"Ah what the hell," He thought to himself.

As he headed downstairs, Elsa was just putting down some freshly made pancakes which he eyed with utter disgust, He was about to tell her, his disdain for sweet things when she put some bacon on his plate.

"I'm surprised you're still here." He said watching as she poured some orange juice into a glass for him "I would have thought you'd taken the hint and gone home."

"Well, I was..." She said nervously "but, I didn't wanna leave without doing something to thank you for saving my life last night." After shutting off the stove she joined him, watching very closely at all the small things he did.

She quickly learned, though he hadn't said anything about it, he clearly hated sweets as he'd eaten the breakfast she'd made him with no problems but he kept picking at the pancakes and waffles until she finally told him "You don't have to eat that you know" That was all he needed before he shoved the plate away and without a word stood up.

"J-Jack?"

He was heading up the stairs again but stopped at the way she'd said his name "Yeah what is it?" He asked. Elsa could clearly see he was still not happy about what went down last night though she had no idea why. It had been HER that had almost fallen not him.

"Thanks again."

He only shrugged "Whatever let yourself out when you're done" Before disappearing. She spent the next few minutes cleaning up, she was so out of it she didn't even hear her cellphone ringing until Jack came back downstairs complaining about the annoying ringtone she'd placed on it. He picked it up from the table "It's your sister." he pointed out waving the phone in her face. She yanked it out of his hands and went into the other room.

When she came back in she thanked Jack once more for saving her life before telling him how she had to get going before heading upstairs to get her things. It didn't take her long though seeing as how everything was already packed. She was halfway out the door when Jack stopped her.

"Not so fast." He said blocking the doorway. "Don't think just because you made breakfast for me that makes us even" Not surprised, Elsa switched the bag over to her left hand "well can't say I didn't see this coming, what do you want?"

"A Date" He smirked, surprising her. Though she wanted very much to turn his request down she knew in some ways he was right, she owed him a debt for saving her from nearly falling off the roof so with a sigh she agreed "Fine, when and where?"

"I'll text you the details. Until then keep a close eye on your cellphone."

He moved out of her way and watched her leave, doing a fist pump in the air when she was gone "Phase 2 may have been a bust, but I won't fail again Ice queen prepare to have your heart stolen."

He headed back in, not being able to help chuckling though his heart which was still beating pretty fast was saying different. He chose for the moment to listen to his head which was saying "Make her pay for making you feel this way. It's what the bitch deserves."

"Hey Anna come in here quick!"

At the sound of Mulan's voice, Anna who was busy trying to get her right foot in her pants stumbled hitting her face on the floor though she didn't have much time to rest as Mulan who'd stayed the night because of Anna's fear of being alone kept calling her.

"Alright, I'm coming!"

She fumbled to put on her pants before rushing out into the hallway, she found Mulan in the guest bedroom "Lan, what is it? Did you hurt yourself..."

Mulan started laughing "No actually, I just wanted to show you something. C'mere." She gestured for Anna to look out the window with her though she hadn't the slightest clue why until she saw Rapunzel and Flynn coming out of the car that had just parked in the driveway.

"What do you think they want?" Anna asked.

"Don't know but it looks like we're about to find out."

Sure enough, what came next was a loud banging sound coming from the front door. Mulan immediately went to answer it, Rapunzel wasted no time in pushing past her and looking around the room as if searching for something or someone.

"Can I help you with something?"

She waited impatiently for Rapunzel to answer, "Sorry about barging in like this" Flynn apologized, "But Punzie wanted to talk with Elsa."

Anna who'd just come downstairs became puzzled "Elsa's not here right now she's staying over at a friends. What's this about..."

"I'll tell you what this is about" Rapunzel turned on Anna, anger clearly evident in her normally tranquil blue eyes "Word on the street is the two spent the night together."

"Even if it were true which it isn't! I don't see how it's any of your business!" Anna all but yelled, causing Rapunzel to laugh "That's where you're wrong. When it comes to Jack it's most definitely MY business, as his fiancee I won't allow your sister to steal him away from me!"

"Rapunzel!" Flynn tried to cover her mouth but it was too late, Rapunzel didn't even seem ashamed by it "I'm sorry," Flynn apologized "Punzie didn't have her breakfast this morning. So she's a bit delusional."

Anna could clearly see that Flynn who was laughing nervously didn't believe for a second that she'd fallen for the ridiculous lie.

Having had enough Rapunzel removed Flynn's hands from her mouth "Just a little warning. Tell your sister to stay away from Jack or ELSE" Without another word she stormed out the door causing Anna to fall to her knees.

Mulan was by her side in an instant "Anna what's the matter? Are you ok? Speak to me!" Mulan grew worried when Anna clutched onto her chest and began sobbing, "This can't be true" Anna squeaked "It just can't be!"

More confused than anything Mulan rubbed Anna's back in a soothing manner "I'm afraid I don't understand..."

"What's there to understand!?" Anna bellowed "Mulan I- I'm in love with Jack winters. It's not just an infatuation, I LOVE him. Oh god it hurts, please make the pain in my chest go away I can't take it anymore"

"Oh, Anna..."

The front door suddenly slammed open "Guys I'm back. Ugh, what a night you won't believe..."

Elsa stopped right in the middle of the kitchen and dropped her bag "Anna, what's wrong? did someone hurt you?" She got no answer which angered her to the point she looked to Mulan for an explanation but she refused to tell her anything "Anna please tell me who they are and I swear to god I'll kill them for you just don't shut me out. Please"

She got to her knees and tried to take Anna's hand but she yanked it away "You really wanna know who made me feel this way?" Anna who's hair was in her face refused to look at her sister "You really wanna know!" She repeated, "Well here it is!" She finally looked up, her eyes red and puffy from crying so hard "The one who hurt me. Is YOU!"

"Anna, what are you talking about? How exactly did I hurt you..." Elsa tried to put a hand on Anna's shoulder but she flinched back as if Elsa was the most disgusting thing in the world and it hurt, though Elsa didn't let her see how much. "By not telling me that Jack winters was the one you were spending the night with that's how!"

"Oh that. Well you see, to be fair I didn't even know myself" She pointed out "If I had I never would have agreed to it. Anna, please don't cry." She went in to hug her and was filled with relief when Anna didn't pull away.

"Rapunzel just came by" She finally said after she couldn't cry anymore, this took Elsa by surprise "Oh Really? What did the blonde bitch want?" Elsa grew worried when Anna didn't answer "Anna?"

Still nothing, she finally decided to love over at Mulan for answers but she too remained tight-lipped. "She- She told me to warn you to stay away from Jack" Wiping the tears coming down her cheeks she sat up. Still unable to look her sister in the eye she settled for the floor tile in front of her. She was afraid if she looked at Elsa she'd break down again and she didn't want that. She was tired of crying and just wished she could be as strong as her sister. "There's one more thing," She said when she noticed how quiet and still Elsa had become "She says that Jack's her fiancee" She suddenly grabbed onto her chest, Elsa could tell she was forcing herself not to cry and it was hurting her just to watch.

"Listen if what she said was true then you need to forget about Jack. No matter how much it hurts you too, you can't go on like this." Anna acted as if Elsa had slapped her across the face. Her eyes had grown wide and her mouth flew open.

"You DON'T understand!" She practically yelled, "I can't forget about him, I just can't!"

"Anna it's just a crush, you'll get over it someday..."

Anna slapped Elsa's hand away when she tried to pat her back "NO I WONT! This isn't just some crush Els, I'm in love with him. Odin help me I'm in love With Jackson Winters and it hurts because he's engaged to someone else!."

Elsa's hands went to her mouth and she froze in place "Anna, No. You got everything twisted what your feeling isn't love its..."

"Don't say infatuation!" Anna interrupted "Ok, just don't!" She quickly got to her feet and shoved past Elsa who tried to stop her before she ran out the front door but Mulan grabbed her arm "Let her go. She needs some time alone."

Elsa could only scoff "No, what Anna needs is ME right now. I refuse to leave her when she needs me the most." Yanking her hand free she headed out the door following after her sister not realizing that a trail of Ice was forming behind her as she ran.

Zoe Estelien: It's been a long time! :D funny thing I was actually thinking of redoing that entire story of Dennis and Winnie from scratch. I just need to come up with a new storyline for them. As for this story, I can guarantee that Jack WILL redeem himself in some way. Can't tell you how but all I can say is stay tuned. Things are about to be get interesting.
