Luna Lovegood
Harry Potter was out in the woods with Luna Lovegood. She was dressed in a sky-blue tank-top, a pair of grey beige shorts, and a pair of brown leather sandals. Her dirty-blonde hair wasn't wavy, but straightened and in a medium ponytail. Luna also wasn't wearing her radish earrings nor her necklace made from butterbeer corks. Harry was in a green sleeveless t-shirt, jean shorts, and black sandals. He was carrying a picnic basket in one hand and Luna was carrying some kind of blanket in one arm. Harry decided that inviting Luna on a picnic would help him escape the wizarding world for a while. His fifth year ended two weeks ago and he spent some time planning over his decision to leave the Dursleys for good.
"We're not terribly far from my favourite spot." Luna informed Harry.
The two continued walking on and a couple minutes later, they reached a lake shore under some trees. There were a couple tree stumps, in which Harry could sit on one and Luna could sit on the other. But they opted to spread the blanket on the grassy ground close to the tree stumps and sit on it and putting the picnic basket on top of one of the stumps. Luna pulled her sandals off her feet and put them on top of the other stump, with Harry doing the same.
"How come you never asked me what I had in mind for spending time together?" asked Luna curiously.
"I wanted you to surprise me," stated Harry. "Just to find out for myself what you had in mind without any spoilers."
"Then your plan for that worked," said Luna with a smile. "Since you needed something to help relieve the stress you've dealt with throughout the whole year, especially with that crazy toad making sure you'd suffer the worst under her reign of terror."
"I'm glad Umbitch's days as Hogwarts high inquisitor has come to an end," said Harry as he breathed a sigh of relief. "But then Ron and Hermione told me that Dumbledore instructed them not to contact me because of my godfather's untimely death, even though I needed someone to talk to. It didn't take me long to realize that you were a good option."
"What will you do once you confront Ron and Hermione for that?" asked Luna.
"I don't know," said Harry. "But since they won't see this coming, I'll make sure it stumps them so hard that they'll regret leaving me in the dust. They'll soon realize that this is the final straw, they've betrayed me too many times now that there won't be anymore forgiveness."
"Maybe focusing on our picnic can help you come up with some ideas." Luna suggested.
"You're right, Luna," said Harry sheepishly. "I got a bit carried away."
"It's all good, Harry." assured Luna in her soft dreamy voice.
Harry brought the picnic basket over and set it down in between himself and Luna, and began searching through it to see what they should eat first. Normally a picnic basket would have a limit to how much could be packed into it, but before leaving Luna's house, she added a charm to fit as much as needed inside it. Harry brought out a couple water bottles and two peanut-butter-and-jelly sandwiches, giving one of them to Luna. Due to Harry's insistence on the ladies first policy, Luna was the first to take a bite out of her sandwich. The sandwiches had grape jelly, due to it being one of Luna's favourite fruits. As they ate their lunch, Harry and Luna watched birds flying in the sky and squirrels scurrying around looking for acorns or jumping from tree branch to tree branch. Harry and Luna were now eating granny smith apples and when they finished eating those, they tossed the apples cores away to allow other animals to eat the remains. Then Luna got up and walked towards the water, putting a foot in to test the temperature.
"Luna, what're you doing?" asked Harry.
"I was thinking of splashing some water around," said Luna with another smile, as she undid her ponytail. "Maybe a little swim, too."
"But we didn't bring any swim suits." said Harry.
"That doesn't mean we can't improvise." assured Luna softly.
Before Harry could respond any further, Luna jumped into the water while still in her tank-top and shorts, and lowering herself underwater. Then ten seconds later, she jumped up and made a big splash before wiping excess water from her face. Harry widened his eyes in a mixture of surprise and awe to see Luna simply having fun, even in her own way. Luna motioned with her hands to get Harry to join her. Harry slowly made his way to the water and put his feet in. The cold water didn't bother him too much, since he used to work out in the cold before starting Hogwarts. Then he took a deep breath and jumped into the water, resulting in Luna clapping ecstatically.
"Wow, I never would've thought splashing in water in one's casual everyday wear would be another great stress reliever!" said Harry in an impressed voice.
"At least we're doing something that's making us happy!" said Luna with a giggle.
Harry nodded his head in agreement, then he and Luna began having a playful splash war, but they giggled as they were doing so (intending to make it as fun as possible). It was working so well that it distracted Harry from his troubles, something Luna intended to happen since she didn't like seeing Harry full of stress. The two continued having their fun in the water, pretending that they were in their own private world.
The End!
