Rachel's smile didn't deny that the night before was revealing. Her pussy was a little sensitive, yet everything was right in the world. Vulgarity in language aside, it felt good to have been well eaten and well fucked. She didn't imagine that sex could go far beyond copulation. Finn has always been thoughtful and careful with her. Perhaps too respectful. Although Rachel felt good (except the first time, which was awful), sex with Finn was fast, basic, under the sheets. With Santana, she discovered the erotic side, the foreplay, and the orgasm. Now that she knew it wasn't a matter of speech, or porn fiction, Rachel wanted more.

In the distance, Rachel watched Santana talking to Quinn. It seemed that they were arguing about something. Rachel's experience told her it was best not to interfere, but curiosity always got the best of her. She observed everything from a safe distance. Santana seemed to want to get rid of Quinn, without succeeding. Then Brittany approached and kissed Santana on the lips. The gesture made Rachel so jealous that she almost went to the group of girls to pull Santana out of there and show everyone who the captain of the cheerios belonged to. Rachel had a gold ring on her left ring finger, after all.

What was Brittany if not, technically, the mistress? Santana wore a ring on the left ring finger, and the name on that ring was Rachel's. On the other hand, if the official documents were disregarded, Brittany was the official girlfriend, and Rachel was the one-night stand. Rachel had to admit it was an odd situation. She remembered the lawyer's words about not involving anyone else in this mess. He was right. Neither Rachel nor Santana considered that they could be involved sexually and emotionally in this story. It was the lack of experience that made them ignore the big picture.

Finn came over and kissed Rachel's cheek.

"Hi."

"Hi Finn." Rachel frowned.

"What? Is something wrong?"

"It's nothing." Rachel snapped e looked at the cheerios again. "It's just another crisis happening in the unholy trinity universe." Rachel pointed to the group.

"That's why I don't even dare get involved in the mess of these girls. It's amazing how you can live on the same roof as Santana and not be affected by these things."

"Santana doesn't take these fights to home." Seeing that Finn frowned, not understanding the placement, Rachel forced a smile. "It's just that we hardly speak. That's why. There is no room for her to take her fights to home."

"This is kind of decent of her. Let's go?"

Rachel crossed her fingers with Finn's and walked in the opposite direction. But first, she took a discreet look back and realized that Santana wasn't taking her eyes off her.

Santana was having a silly argument with Quinn, who was dying to know how things went between her and Rachel. Santana tried to ignore her friend, and she didn't want to say anything about the night before, except if she would be forced for a very specific purpose, such as revenge. But Quinn was aware that Santana and Rachel could had sex. She was the one who encouraged Santana to "get Rachel out of her system".

"Why don't you kill your curiosity and ask Berry?" Santana said impatiently.

"You were the one who was all distressed yesterday because of your thing with Rachel, and now you're not. Something happened."

"Okay, I talked with Berry, and we set things out."

"That's it? you just talked about it, like a therapy session?"

"Yeah…"

"You totally did it. I saw Berry today. She was looking very cheerful. Not in a theatrical way, as usual. She looked genuinely relaxed. I know you have a responsibility to this."

"Okay, you won. It was just one night. I ate and digested. Now Rachel is out of my system." Santana grunted saying a little louder than she should have. "Happy now?"

"Your mood is always terrible when you're on your period!" Quinn said with some cynicism. "It's starting to appear in other ways..." She referred to the volume on Santana's cheerio uniform.

"I'm not..." She lowed her voice. "…hard. It's just the fabric."

Brittany showed up, much to Santana's relief. They kissed and the subject Rachel ended.

"Poor San..." Brittany whispered in her girlfriend's ear. "You are so tense today. Need help? One hand?"

"I'm not… come on!" Santana straightened her skirt over her pants to prove she wasn't hard.

Quinn and Brittany laughed because it' was so easy to tease Santana about that. Santana sighed and rolled her eyes.

"I hate you both."

"No, you don't." Brittany kissed her girlfriend.

"Come on, we have classes!" Quinn said.

Santana nodded and looked around. She saw Rachel and Finn together 20 meters away. Rachel went for a walk with her boyfriend, but first she took a discreet look back. Her and Santana's eyes met.

At the second class of the day, Kurt received an enigmatic message from Tina. It made him open his eyes wide and think a little about the strange conversation he had with Rachel the day before, and then he noticed Rachel's relaxed and happy way when she arrived at school. Was it true? It wasn't possible, it was?

"Was Santana the milk chocolate?" - Kurt.

"I don't know what you're talking about." - Rachel.

"You're too happy." - Kurt.

"I still don't know what you're talking about." - Rachel.

"Will you dare to lie to me?" - Kurt.

"I'm not lying." - Rachel.

"I won't leave you alone until you tell me the truth." - Kurt

"Okay, Santana was the milk chocolate." - Rachel.

"What happened between you two?" - Kurt.

"We just had a conversation." - Rachel.

"Conversation where?" – Kurt.

"Not your business." – Rachel.

"Did you have sex with her?" - Kurt

"I won't answer that." - Rachel

"I will torment you until you say." - Kurt.

Kurt and Rachel were sitting side by side in a tedious history class. Someone watching them could roll their eyes and find the interaction ridiculous. That someone existed and was there: it was Quinn Fabray, who found the friendship between the two divas so unbearable, at the same time that she understood why they deserved each other so much. On that particular day, Quinn seemed very interested in reading Rachel's reactions, but there was a reason. Rachel would normally have taken Quinn's nonverbal opinion into account. But that was before. Rachel didn't care that much about the future Yale's student anymore. Then she typed again.

"OK! We had intercourse. So what? We are married." - Rachel.

Kurt looked away and demanded silent explanations for his friend. He wanted information that, for now, he could only speculate. Not that it was necessary to wait for long. When Santana confirmed to Quinn what had happened with an impatient tone and louder than she should have, she paid no attention to the fact that behind her was an ordinary school girl who overheard the conversation. Santana was known to everyone at school, as was Rachel, with the difference that Santana was popular for being the captain of the cheerios, while Rachel had a kind of unwanted popularity. A gossip involving the most well-known people at school was natural, and speculation spread like wildfire.

In the intervals between classes, the looks of friends and strangers crossed Rachel and Santana's paths, as if they had done something out of the ordinary. In a way, that's what happened, considering the history between them. Rachel Berry and Santana Lopez? Loser and popular, water and oil, captain of the coral and captain of the cheerios. But what the students were really excited about was the likely confrontation between the main players involved in the story. When Santana received the message on her cell phone, she almost didn't believe it and soon thought that Quinn had a responsibility to spread the story. Rachel, when she received the same message, thought Santana was bragging and spread the story. Brittany when she received the message, was hurt and with a broken heart. Finn, when he received the message, was furious.

Mercedes intelligently called an emergency meeting in the music room with in order to minimize the damage, and leave the mess only between the group, thus she imagined avoiding a fight in the middle of the school cafeteria, under the eyes of an audience thirsty for blood.

"Guys, what is it?" Rachel said uncomfortable with the expressions of her friends when she arrived in the music room for the supposed emergency meeting.

"You had sex with Santana!" Tina fired, not caring about Brittany's pained expression. "This is huge!"

"I supposedly had sex with her, you mean. Don't believe this gossip." Rachel felt cornered.

Santana arrived in the room as if she were going to kill someone. She went after Quinn.

"You gossipy bitch. What did you do?" Rachel ran over to Quinn, but was held by Samuel.

"I didn't spread the story, San!" Quinn defended herself. "Maybe if you had kept your voice low, it wouldn't have happened!"

"What? You really did this." Rachel was nervous.

"No, I didn't! The only person I talked about it was Quinn."

"I didn't spread it!" Quinn said again.

"Kurt?" Rachel asked her best friend. "Was you?"

"No, Rachel, of course not!"

"But you knew the milk chocolate was Santana. You asked me about it today." Rachel said without thinking.

"What?" The choir members were confused, and Santana blushed.

"I asked you because I had just read the message." Kurt tried to explain.

"I sent it to you guys when I got the message on my cell phone." Tina confessed. "But I wasn't the source." She defended herself, and Santana snorted.

"Aaaaaaahhhh." Santana wanted to scream.

"San. You better calm down!" Mercedes held it. "We called you here to avoid a shack in the middle of the school."

But Finn entered the music room without being invited. He was also furious. The difference was that he wanted to hit somebody, anybody. And he did.

"Your funking cunt, you raped Rachel!"

The world stopped when he punched Santana in the face, who was knocked out. It was Samuel, Blaine, and Mike's turn to restrain Finn, while Santana, who was terrified of being punched by a guy who was twice her size and weight. Even so, brave and with the extra physical energy she had when she was in the period, she got up and recovered to defend herself. Brittany ran up to her, as did Quinn and Kurt. Rachel was standing in the same place, shouting for everyone to stop the madness. Mr. Schuester arrived in the room, also uninvited, and he restrained everyone, taking Santana and Finn to the principal's office. The parties were heard, Schuester defended Finn and Sue Sylvester wasn't there to defended Santana. When the cheerio heard the sentence – two days of suspension for both –, she took a deep breath and left the principal's office.

"Santana!" Schuester tried to approach her in the school hallway.

"Mr. Schuester, I want you to know that you are a racist and a misogynist." She said loud and clear, so that all the students could hear her, making Mr. Schuester stop in fright.

"Santana, don't you dare."

"You are a racist, a misogynist and a hypocrite." Santana said again louder.

"You caused a situation..." Schuester tried to explain himself, before many eyes, including all New Directions.

"I caused it?" Santana frowned. "A man two meters tall and more than twice my weight who has the emotional intelligence of a fetus punched me and left me with a black eye, because I had sex with my wife. He said I raped Rachel based on nothing and he punched me! Hudson falsely accused me to committed a hideous crime, and you, the adult's ones, punished me as well. Why? Because I supposed to be the latina, lesbian, aggressive and without control that oppresses a white, straight and popular man, who punched me in the face. Who judges me? Another white man who maintains questionable affective relationships with the two-meter-tall white student and more than twice my weight. And I was suspended too? Fuck you."

Santana wiped away her tears and walked down the hall toward the school's exit, making Mr. Schuester be ashamed of himself. But she didn't want their shame. She was in the mood to screw with that school. Santana didn't even try to stay to see that other regular students, especially students belonging to minorities, started to protest. She met Rachel on the way out.

"I'm sorry, Santana."

"Go to hell, Berry."

Santana saw that Brittany was also close and didn't hesitate to go to her best friend. As nervous as she was, she knew she couldn't escape the conversation.

"Britt. Give me 15 minutes, please. So we can talk."

"I'll meet you in the auditorium."

"Okay."

Santana went into one of the bathrooms and washed her face. Cold water was applied to the part of the face that received the blow. She had fought a few times at school, but that was the first time she got punched in the face by a guy. The sensation wasn't pleasant, and due to the swelling and redness, Santana already predicted that the purple would appear soon. Damn Finn Hudson, damn William Schuester damn that school's gossip network! She took a deep breath, wiped her face and went to meet Brittany. She raised her head and didn't speak to anyone on the way to the auditorium. Once there, she found Brittany sitting on one of the armchairs.

"Britt..." Santana said before sitting one armchair away from her girlfriend. "First of all, I need to tell you what happened yesterday."

"You and Rachel slept together. The whole school already knows. What else is there to say?" Brittany frowned.

"My version of the story maybe?"

"Okay. You can talk."

"Britt." Santana sighed deeply. "Rachel and I had a flirt the day I took her out to dinner last week. I think I had been feeling this unconscious attraction for some time, as we started to live in the same house and have a more civilized relationship... I can't explain how it happened, but the attraction was there, on both sides, and we kissed. I thought that moving away from Rachel, from that house and being more with you, it would pass, but it didn't. So... yesterday... Rachel and I agreed to have sex, because we believed it could make this sexual tension go away. Rachel and I get carried away by the impulse. It just happened."

"It worked? Worth it?" Brittany asked sharply.

"I'm not going to lie, it was good sex. But it wasn't worth it. Not because of this mess today. I'm giving a fuck to Finn, Schuester and this school. It wasn't worth because I hurt you."

"Has this happened before? While we were together?"

"No, I never cheated on you, I never thought about cheating on you... until last week... with Rachel."

"You care about her."

"I think I need to. I don't know. Whatever happens, Rachel and I will need be together for some years. We are moving to New York after the graduation."

Brittany stared at her for a few minutes. Santana was so nervous and even embarrassed, she couldn't even move. It was like a convict awaiting sentencing. Brittany wiped a tear from her face and breathed in to control her own shaky voice.

"I never cheated on you. You should have talked to me to tell what was going on. I would help you! But, no! Instead, you talk about it with Quinn."

"I know." Santana said through tears that she no longer held. "But how can I tell my girlfriend that I was thinking about having sex with another girl? With Rachel Berry? Quinn is my friend too, one that I'm not romantically involved. So…"

"Still, you should have talked to me. You can talk to me about everything. It's clear that you don't trust me enough."

"That's not true, Britt. I do trust you with my soul. But this is not easy."

"We need to take a break. I need to think."

"Can I call you later?"

"I'm not sure I want you to call me, San."

"I'm sorry, Britt."

"I don't know what to think, San. And now you and Berry are really together, not just in the papers. You are physically together."

"It was just one night."

"Others will come." Brittany wiped the tears from her face. Santana was already crying too. "You hurt me! You jerk, you hurt me a lot."

"Britt, I'm not prepared to lose my girlfriend, much less my friend. Especially my best friend."

"I will never stop being your friend, San. Not in a million years. But right now, I can't even look at your face."

"I understand."

"I need to process all of this. You have this thing with Dwarf Berry. I know you can't get away from this. And we are young. Maybe in five years, if we are single, we can talk again about our relationship. But, right now, we're over."

"Britt… please!"

"Why does it hurt so much?"

"Because we love each other. And because I just ruined the purest and most sincere relationship I've ever had in my life." Santana said, her face wet with tears. "You're right, Britt, I'm a jerk. I should never."

"Too late."

...

Rachel answered Finn's phone. She was also devastated by the day's events. Last night, she had had a moment of pure pleasure, as she could never have imagined. Everything become a nightmare in the next day. Partly because Santana couldn't help but tell Quinn everything. Partly because there were attentive ears everywhere in the school. Partly because Finn was an idiot.

"Rachel, we need to talk." Rachel heard Finn at the video call.

"Finn, I saw everything that happened. You don't have to tell me that you acted the way you did because Santana is a soulless bitch. You punched her. You had the courage to hit a woman. It wasn't even the first time you harmed her. People may have forgiven you, but I still remember that you were the one who outed her against her will."

"You don't understand Rach..."

"It's over, Finn. I can't be with a man who sees no problem in assaulting a woman the way you assaulted Santana."

"Rachel, please!"

The call was off.

At that very moment when Rachel broke up with Finn, Quinn called Santana. The captain of the cheerios answered the video call and try to control her voice, although the sadness was clear.

"Hi San."

"Hi Fabray."

"Fabray? You are really hurt."

"You're part of the problem."

"I shouldn't have confronted you at school. I was curious and I'm sorry to have insisted. But I wouldn't spread gossip like that."

"Not that I'm any better, Fabray. I knew that the story would leak the moment we spoke that morning. But I'm relieved that you didn't spread it. Deep down, this is my fault."

"That school is rotten. Mr. Schuester is rotten. I can't believe you was suspended."

"My mom was so outraged that she called Figgins and threatened to call the school board. Sylvester also heard about the fight and used her influence to defend me. She solved the problem in five minutes. Then, I got a phone call from Figgins revoking my suspension. Schuester also called me to apologize. You know... Schuester lose his shit when his favorites are in trouble, especially Finn. He does everything to protect that guy."

"Everybody knows that. But you made quite a speech in the middle of the hall. Too bad you didn't stay to see the protests that the students made."

"Yeah, too bad..."

"Sorry again."

"Forget it, Quinn. We're good."

"I'm glad you accepted my apology. You're already called me by my name again."

"Don't be too optimistic, it's still early."

"It's fair. How's Brittany?"

"Upset, hurt, she broke up with me."

"I'm so sorry."

"It's a matter of time, I hope."

"And Berry? Are you with her?"

"No, I'm at my parent's. I just want to stay here in my actual bedroom, quiet, for one day. If I go back to Berry's, I'm sure her parents, especially Leroy, will confront me. I'm not in the mood for that kind of shit. Not today."

"I'm glad you're at your parent's, but I think you should be with Rachel."

"Defending Berry? Typical of you. I think you are the one who should get her out of your system."

"My Berry phase is over. It lasted less than my Lopez phase. Besides that, I like my single phase. I don't need anyone out of my system for now."

"You know what, Quinn? My sincere opinion?"

"What?"

"You should lose your fear and get a girlfriend. You should come out and be free."

"I'm not gay."

"But you're bi. You should get out of the closet like a bisexual you are, and try to get a real girlfriend. Our kissing sessions when we were 14 aren't a good enough reference. I got better." Santana smiled a little bit.

"High School is almost over. It doesn't matter anymore. Maybe I can have a girlfriend in Yale." Quinn smiled across the screen.

"I'm sure you can. You can do whatever you want within your own time and on your own terms."

"Thank you for your support."

"See you tomorrow."
