Love Comes At All Ages

Chapter 9: The First Date

Smithers was in Mr. Burns' office watching the monitors, he saw his crush kissing the lady, this makes him burst into tears, he was next to the microphone so everyone hears him say "Damn it!" Burns pulls away from Rebecca and says, "Ugh, he has to be so dramatic.." Rebecca kisses his left cheek and says, "Well I better get to work, I don't want to make the others think I get off easy." Burns watches as she enters her sector, so he heads to his office. Once he enters, he exclaims, "Waylon!" Smithers was sitting on his knees with hands covering his face, he sniffs and says, "What does he see in her?!", "Smithers!" Burns exclaims again. Smithers uncovers his face to see his boss, "Sir! I..", "You were spying on me, weren't you?!", "No, sir! I always watch the monitors." Smithers tells him.

Meanwhile, Carl had seen Burns and Rebecca kiss, so he had said once she entered, "So you weren't lying." Now he and her were counting rods, as Rebecca just wanted to act casual. At lunchtime, she sits with her friends. Homer was telling her, "I can't believe you are dating Mr. Burns. You always liked Sideshow Bob, didn't you?" She tells him, "Yeah, but he's seeing someone now."

Mr. Burns is talking to Smithers, "You have, are, and will always be just a close friend of mine, Waylon." Smithers was still sad, "Well, I just hope that you and Rebecca have a good life, sir." Burns smiles and says, "Would you mind taking me and Rebecca to the Pimento Grove after work?" He sighs and nods saying,"I don't mind at all."

A few hours later, Rebecca enters Mr. Burns office, goes over to his desk and sits on it and begins to flirt, "So..whatcha got planned, babe?" Mr. Burns chuckles and tells her that he plans on taking her to the Pimento Grove, to which she scoots closer, and says before locking lips with him, "Great, I love going there." He kisses her back, putting one hand on her left knee. Smithers enters and says, "I'm ready to drive you two to the Pimento Grove."

Later at the Pimento Grove, Mr. Burns and Rebecca were at their table, flirting while they wait for their food, Burns says to his beloved, "What a joyous day today is, I was happy that you felt the same towards me.", "Oh Monty, you're so cute. Of course I'd feel the same." Their food arrives and the waiter was happy to see Rebecca as it was Bob's brother, Cecil, who says, "Rebecca, what a surprise. Do you remember me?" Rebecca smiles at the man telling him that she does, asking, "When did you begin working here, my friend?", "Not too long ago, so you and Mr. Burns are dating, I always expected you'd get with my...dream-stealing brother." Mr. Burns was growing tired of this conversation, but he doesn't interrupt, soon the man walks off, and Rebecca looks at her lover, "Sorry about that, I haven't seen Cecil in five years. Now anyways, you're the handsomest man on Earth."
