One hour has passed since the Cerulean incident. Eve sat down at the foot of a large tree. Ryan grabbed a Oran berry from the backpack and offered it to Eve. "Are you hungry kid?" Eve groaned before taking the berry out of Ryan's paws. "Thanks Ryan. I could really use the energy." Nina walked over to the river and filled a large leaf with water. "Would you like some water too Eve?" Eve smiled at their kindness. "Guys I'm fine, really." Eve got up from the ground and showed herself standing with pride. "See, I'm perfectly fine." Eve tried her best to convince them that she's okay. But Ryan and Nina aren't buying it. "Kid you drained all your energy to maintain that transform. Even though you just stared learning it. You have to rest and recover your energy. Transform is not an easy move to master." Nina nodded. "Ryan is right... you're still young and inexperienced..." Eve could feel herself getting angry again and muttered. "I'm not that young... or inexperienced..." Ryan facepalmed. "Kid..." Eve looked away in shame. She did her best not to let them notice.
"What do you think? Should we stay a bit longer in Cerulean City or should we..." Eve instantly turned around and with a hiss she said "no!" Still shaken up from the fact that people saw her in the middle of town, Eve wanted nothing more than to leave. She looked down and whispered softly. "Please... I want to get as far away from here as possible." Ryan and Nina were surprised about the way Eve reacted but they understood Eve's motive. They knew that Eve didn't want to be seen by humans.
There were so many thoughts going through Eve's mind. How she was no longer human, what happened to Rose, all the people who saw her and what she was going to do now. All of this stress gave her a headache. Though she tried her best to accept the fact that she was no longer human. Eve wanted nothing more than to just go home and pretend that this was all just a bad dream.
Eve took another large bite out of the Oran berry. "How about we go to Celadon City?" (After all I already did what I came here to do. Leave a note... But I would have liked to see more of the city...)
Ryan thought for a second. "As much as I would love to go to Celadon 'for the ice cream'... I think we should take some time to rest and do some training. Maybe we can visit mount Moon. I heard its beautiful this time of year. Besides... The ice cream can wait." Eve looked up to the sky with a tired look in her eyes. Nina saw Eve's discomfort and patted on the side of her leg. "Its oké Eve. If you really want to leave, than we will leave." Ryan jumped on Eve's face causing Eve to yelp. "Ryan what are you doing!" Ryan had a irritated yet concerned look on his face."I'm trying to lift this awful mood. You're even more cranky than usual kid." Eve wanted to get mad at Ryan for teasing her like that but she was just to tired. Eve sighed and nodded. "you're right..." Eve slapped her cheeks with her paws and looked back up again. "You know what! We should train a bit and then go to this mount Moon you were talking about Ryan." Ryan and Nina nodded. (Maybe it will be a good experience. There are not that many people around mount Moon so I shouldn't worry so much.)
[Cerulean City]
Just outside of Cerulean City the group of team Rocket hunters were setting up camp. They had set off the entire perimeter around Serulean City to make sure no one would interfere. Mary was in one of the tents setting up a large piece of high tag aquipment. Mister Blight walked in just when she was done. "Is it finished?" Mary turned around and proudly showed a large computer with several high tech graphics displayed on it. "Yes sir! The equipment is ready to use." Blight nodded. "What can you tell me about the location of the target?" Mary looked at the screen. "That's just it... I have been trying to track the source of the psychic energy but something just keeps interfering. Because of this interference I cannot pinpoint the targets location."
Not to far from there campsite Mewtwo was looking at the group. He narrowed his eyes when he saw the black uniforms of team Rocket. Mewtwo made sure to stay out of sight. He knew better than anyone what would happen if he was spotted. The humans were using a fancy piece of technology to track a signal.
Mewtwo knew what was at the end of that signal. He was not going to let them. Mewtwo used his psychic powers to interfere with the tracker. He was not going to let them find her.
[back to Eve, Ryan and Nina]
Ryan was standing on the other side of a large grass field next to a small river. "Are you ready kid?" Eve shook her head. "No..." Nina walked over to the left side of the field. "Let the Battle begin!" Ryan jumped towards Eve using quick attack. With a yelp, Eve jumped out of the way, making a flip in the air. (Why did I agree to this!) Ryan was waiting patiently for Eve to make her move. (Right... I can attack to!) Eve used psychic to lift Ryan in the air. Eve smiled thinking that she might actually win this Pokémon battle but Ryan didn't think so and unleashed a thunderbolt. Eve screamed as she flipped backwards dodging the thunderbolt just in time. Thanks to this she lost her focus and Ryan was released from psychic. "Not bad kid, but you've got to do better than that! Don't try to rely on just psychic. There are other ways to defeat your aponent." Eve's ear twitched slightly as she nerowed her eyes. "Don't think I'm done yet." In an effort to use tackle Eve launched herself forward. Ryan grinned and jumped into the air just before she was about to hit him. With a flip Ryan landed on Eve's back. Eve gasped and tried to get him off but before she could Ryan used thunderbolt. She screamed as electricity shot trough her. Feeling numb from the shock Eve fell face first into the ground. *groan* "That was not how I planned it..." Nina ran towards Eve. "Are you okay Eve?" Eve got up from the ground and smiled at Nina. "I'm oké. No need to worry. I was just electrocuted, thats all." Ryan jumped on Eve's shoulder. "Not bad for a first time battling kid. I must say that you've improved a lot. Especially with psychic. One thing you need to keep in mind though is to never jump forward without a plan. You can get quite easily provoked and then you make rash decisions without thinking." Eve smiled and sheepishly rubbed the back of her head. "Thanks Ryan... I'll keep that in mind." Eve flew up and stretched her back like a cat.
Ryan turned towards Nina. "Do you want to give it a try?" Nina nervously stepped back as she looked down. "I... I don't think I can... I mean... I'm not a very good battler." Eve sad down next to Nina and petted her head. "If you don't want to battle that's okay but the reason why should not be because you feel like you're not good enough. Take it from me! You're better then you think." Nina still hastened. "You know what... I'll pretend to be your trainer. That way I have an excuse to support you and then you don't have to do it alone. What do you say? Are you ready to show Ryan what you can really do?"
Nina looked at Eve in amazement. after thinking it over she nodded her head. "Let's do it... but... you know... don't expect to much..." Eve grinned and jumped up. "That's the spirit!"
Eve was standing behind Nina, ready for battle. Nina still looked nervous. "Quick question Nina. What moves do you know?" Nina closed her eyes and stared counting. "I know Confusion, Double team, Growl, Hypnosis, Disarming voice and Teleport." Eve's mouth dropped. (Here I only know Telepathy, Psychic and Tackle... Well... that's if you don't count levitation. Maybe it's time to learn some new moves.) "That's amazing Nina! To think you know so many good moves." Nina turned bright red and hid her face behind her paws. A soft smile was visible on her face.
"Y... You think so?" Eve proudly nodded and gave Nina a wink. Eve looked towards Ryan and yelled "Let the battle begin!" Ryan started with Iron tail. "Nina dodge and use Double team!" Nina gracefully jumped out of the way. In a blink of an eye Nina created three clones of herself to confuse Ryan. It worked as Ryan didn't know who to attack. "Nina use Hypnosis!" Nina moved forward to attack but Ryan was prepared and slammed his Iron tail into the ground. Causing pieces of the ground and grass to fly up. Blocking Nina's field of view just long enough for Ryan to jump above her. By the time Eve warned Nina it was already to late. Nina screamed as she was hit by a thunderbolt. Eve gasped. "Are you okay Nina?" Nina stood still for a moment. She almost fainted to the ground but managed to keep herself from falling. There was a long moment of silence before Nina suddenly started laughing like a crazy person.
Eve couldn't believe her eyes. "Ni...na...?" Nina suddenly stopped laughing and had a wide crazy grin on her face. Ryan looked at Nina just as confused as Eve and tried to slowly back away. In less then a second Nina teleported behind him. Ryan squeaked and turned around. Before he could do anything Nina used Confusion. Because she was standing so close to him it was a direct hit. The world started swirling around Ryan. Then he started hitting himself. Eve watched in horror at the spectacle that was happening in front of her. (What has gotten into Nina! It's like she's possessed or something.) As if on cue Nina turned around towards Eve with a vicious smile. Eve felt a shiver going down her spine when Nina started walking towards her. "N... Nina... what are you doing?" Nina didn't say a word and continued to walk forward. Eve slowly backed away. "Nina?" In a blink of an eye Nina teleported right in front of Eve. With a scream Eve flew upwards into the sky. It was then that Eve realized that Nina was unconscious. Her eyes were closed but her body was still moving. She already fainted when Ryan hit her with thunderbolt. Eve bit her lip in frustration. (Sorry about this Nina!) Her eyes started to glow as Eve lifted Nina into the air with psychic and dropped her in the water.
With a gasp Nina woke up and climbed out of the water. "Wha... What happened?" Then she noticed that Ryan had fainted and Eve was looking at her with large glowing eyes. "W... Whats going on? What happened to Ryan?" Eve's eyes stoped glowing and she looked down at Nina. "What is the last thing you remember?" Nina tilted her head in confusion. "I... uh... We were battling... Ryan hit me with an attack... and than... I woke up in a lake? How did I...?" Eve sighed and few towards Ryan to pick him up. (God that girl can be scary. Note to one's self. Don't let Nina battle again... It was like she entered a Psycho mode of something.) Nina's body was shacking from the cold because she was still wet from the water. "What happened...?"
After a while Ryan woke up having a nasty headache. *groan* "I'm going to feel that for a while." When Ryan looked up he saw Nina standing in front of him. Ryan's eyes widened and he looked at her as if she was going to eat him. Nina tilted her head in confusion obviously oblivious about what happened. *gulp* "Hé... Nina..." Nina looked at Eve and then back at Ryan. "W... Why are you both looking at me like that? D... Did I do something wrong?" Eve sighed and told Nina all about what happened after Ryan hit her with Thunderbolt. Nina's mouth dropped. She looked at Ryan with teary eyes. "I'm sorry Ryan... I didn't mean to." Nina looked as if she was on the verge of crying. Eve glared as a warning to Ryan who was trying to calm Nina down. "Oké, oké! It was an accident... Accidents can happen. So there is no need to feel sad." Nina still looked sad as she turned her eyes down. "Still...I'm sorry Ryan..." Ryan sheepishly rubbed the back of his head."I already said that It was oké. So..." Tears started rolling down Nina's face "But I..."
Eve suddenly interrupted. "Oké guys, what do you think is a good idea. Go to mount Moon now or wait until tomorrow?" Ryan and Nina both looked at Eve at the same time. Nina quickly wiped away her tears."Well... We could leave now but... It's going to take a while before we reach mount Moon so we might be better off going tomorrow... Or we could start walking and find a place to sleep on the way?" Eve cringed when she looked at the ground. (That would mean sleeping on the ground again... The cold... moist... ground... full of bugs...) Eve shivered at the thought. (Normally I would say no thank you... But going back to Serulean is out of the option. So... the ground it shall be.)
After flying for an hour or two, the sun was starting to set. There were a lot of dark clouds forming on the horizon. Eve and the others located a decent spot to spend the night. Eve still didn't like the idea of sleeping on the ground so she spent a whole hour making a bed out of branches and leafs. Eve felt a little bit uncomfortable when Ryan found a dead pidgey and suggested to eat it. "Kid I can see by your teeth that you're meant to eat more then just berries. It's not healthy to have a unbalanced diet." Eve looked at Ryan. "Oké I can't deny that my kind eats meat... But its just... You know..." (I was perfectly fine eating meat back on earth... But now its just... ) Eve groaned in frustration. "Give me the pidgey..." Ryan gave Eve the dead pidgey. Eve grabbed her backpack and started pulling out all kinds of berries out that they found on the way. (If I'm going to eat a balanced meal then I'm going to make an actual meal out of it.)
After starting a small campfire. Eve chopped up a large part of the berries. (It's a good thing that I learned how to cook back on earth.) Eve asked if Ryan could make a boll out of wood with Iron tail. Ryan was a bit confused by the request but did it anyway. It took Eve one hour to make but when she was done Eve felt a moment of pride. "Behold!" Eve had made a (chicken) soup. Despite the lack of spices the soup still tasted really good. A lot of the berries that she put in were similar in taste as vegetables form earth. Eve drank some of the soup. (It's chicken soup, It's chicken soup, It's chicken soup.) Both Ryan and Kirlia enjoyed the soup just as much. Eve looked at them in surprise. "I didn't know that pikachu's or kirlia's eat meat?" Ryan stopped drinking and looked at Eve. "Our species can eat both meat and geen. We prefer green though." Eve nodded and simply continued to drink her soup. After they were done eating Eve went to sleep. While the rest was already asleep Eve was still wide awake.
The team Rocket group is trying to locate Eve trough technology. They won't find her if Mewtwo has something to say about it.
Eve had her first Pokémon battle as both the Pokémon and a trainer. She isn't very good at it though. But she will get better eventually.
Nina also tried to battle against Ryan.
One thing she wasn't aware of is that if she gets nocked out her personality changes. She has now a 'newly dubbed' Psycho mode.
Eve finally had a decent meal instead of plain berries. Pokémon chicken (pidgey) soup.
