Chapter 17th

Lt. Omar Hetty having received the report from Sergeant Jackson about the visitor last night into Lorraine's room of the nursing home. Omar was busy getting used to his duties with the day being so busy with taking care of the residents with cleaning, helping the patients in the day room and the dining area as well.

Lorraine had come out of her room in a wheelchair with her aid helping to get her around. She wasn't an invalid. Though no one had approached her during the day. As he continued on with his duties throughout the nursing home and with the coronavirus and the restrictions with everyone wearing their masks, testing being done once a week with the swaps and now hearing the good news about the vaccine. Even though their might be a possible chance that the New York nursing homes will be receiving the vaccine soon.

Omar came into the day room with Lorraine reading a book sitting staring out. He came over to asked on whether she needed any help. He had to asked her twice before she was able to respond to the question.

"Can I have some water please." She had looked at his name tag to be Omar. He grabs it from the fridge to find the flavored bottled water and opening it for her to drink.

"Here you go Lorraine." he said with placing it into her shaking hands a little...

Afterwards he began his cleaning and with taking out the garbage trying not to disturb the residents watching tv and other activities. Though it's not much...

Moving out of the day room. He noticed the same security guard that Sergeant Jackson had mention in his report. He continued to watch to see where he was going walking into the day room.

Curious...he needed to find out what was going on as he decides to look through the door to see that the guard had handed something to Lorraine into her hand and than drink it down with the bottled water. This seem odd...he was thinking that maybe he was giving her some type of drug in order to control her in a way. And maybe helping her with the point of getting out of the nursing home to shoot Vance Edwards the bartender.

Moving away from the door to head for another room to check on his list of patients on the second floor.

And when he was on break. Lt. Omar Hetty called the precinct with a report having 45 minutes with his break and with his sandwich and drink.

Organized Crime Unit Precinct...

Detective Elliot Stabler was coming back from the field on another case with another one of his team members. While three of them were working undercover at the Evergreen nursing home.

Moving into his office with a black coffee in his hand. He sits down with placing his cell phone onto his desk for now. While looking at the pile of paperwork to be read and signed by him.

However he didn't get the chance when his phone was going off to be one of his undercover officers with a report. "Omar what do you have today with your report?" he asked with the importance of the question.

"Sir I just found something very interesting that might help with the case. That very same security guard that Lt. Jackson had given handed Lorraine something into her hand and than drink down with water in the dayroom." he commented...

"Now this is interesting Lt. Hetty. DO YOU THINK THAT IT MIGHT BE SOME TYPE OF DRUG IN ORDER TO CONTROL THE WOMAN?" he asked with the question and hopefully a lead into the case.

"Maybe sir. But we will need to check it out further with the investigation. I will see if I can find out for where that security guard is doing while he's away from his duty station." he stated with his words to his boss...

"Be careful with this venture Omar. I don't wish to have you caught in the process with this?" he suggested with the order...

"I will sir. Though I must tell you that everyone here is scared with this virus and than hearing the news about the vaccine arriving soon." he says..

"Yeah I heard. But it's going to take time with the general public and the president of the united states screwing up like always. Anyways get back to me when you're able to find anything. Take care." Elliot ends the call to get back to his work and than thinking about his wife ...

Meanwhile at the SVU division of the precinct...

Captain Olivia Stabler had been busy with their own work. She had arrived back from a meeting with the police commissioner and the mayor to discuss the press, police respond and the public with the reaction of the five women and the bartender Vance Edwards having been killed of late .

Both the police commissioner and mayor were looking for answers and Olivia had told them about the undercover operation going on at the nursing home.

She was exhausted and she needed to follow her doctors orders with needing to go on home. While her relief for the night shift came in and was waiting to take over for the captain. She called him from the break room to go over the cases happenings and especially the recent six deaths.

Captain Donnelly walked in with seeing the exhaustion on her face. "Was it rough with the Police Commissioner and Mayor?" he just had to asked since all is involved with the case.

"Oh yeah! And believe it was a good thing I was able to hold my tongue with the both of them. Or else I would of been in trouble." she cried out with him and handing him the signed reports to go over with packing up to go on home and with Fen, Amanda and Dominick working with their sources on the streets.
