A dark cloud hung over the land of Hi no kuni,the village dark with storm clouds and light rain,claps of thunder echoed around them as lightning flashed miles away, Sarutobi took off his glasses and glared at the bound and gagged man laying before him,they where currently in a dimliy lit prison cell deep under the village,this prison had been closed years ago after the third great war,the man wiggled and shook in fear and panic,his legs bound with thick chakra enhanced rope,the fat man that helped run the main orphanage sqirmed under the mans hateful gaze"you are a damned fool for what you set in motion,I shouldn't even have to tell you why,your soul haunts you I can tell that much"the man spoke while kicking the man harshly in the lower gut,a pained muffled scream filled the small chamber, Sarutobi walked away and looked back at him with a scowl"I'm saving you for a special day you sick bastard"the aged Hokage spoke just loud enough for the pained man to hear him,he went to get up only to fall over on his other side,Sarutobi closed the cell door with a hard slam,the walls echoed a bang as he walked away,his escort the two hunter nin nervous at the anger rolling off the man,he inhaled a soft breath and sighed out"boys I wanna thank you helping me right one of my many wrongs"the aged man spoke while keeping a slow pace,he hoped his plan would work but it was a long shot at this point,he feared his own brash actions on top of the Hokage mountain sealed their dates but it was worth a try,a new presence appeared in front of them,the Hokage stiffened at the sudden arrival of a familiar chakra"Danzo to what do I owe the pleasure of seeing you here"the man spoke in a even tone,he tensed at the mans power rolling off of him"simple Saru,you have failed to protect the village time and time again,I seek to remove you from power dear friend"he spoke while charging forward,Sarutobi ducked under a sweeping blade while rising up with kuni in hand.
The hunter nin jumped into action with hand seals at the ready" earth style,great earth wall"they spoke low,Danzo jumped backwards while doing his own seals as while unleashing sharp blades of wind,the attacker reeled and pulled away,he needed to get above ground to have a better advantage,Sarutobi sensed he was about to escape and blasted after him,the other two nin followed as well,they found there leader engaged in a taijustu match,Sarutobi doged a rather fast palm strike followed with a spin kick,Danzo jumped back in somersaults to give himself distance,he gathered chakra into his legs and jumped forward to resume attacking,the aged Hokage met him with a series of punches and rapid kicks,the other nin flanked the traitor and began to attack with blade,he cursed to himself while jumping away and attempting to escape the cramped hall,he bolted away to the exit,Sarutobi jumped after him.
They made it to a clearing not far from the village walls,the aged Hokage called out to him as a soft breeze flowed by"your a damned fool for not heeding my warning all those years ago Danzo"the man sneered at him while turning around to face him,his bandages rolling off his arm,red eyes began to open,he pulled up his bandage covering his eye,a brilliant Shaningan spun and locked on to the aged Hokage glaring him down"I should have known something was amiss here,you vile bastard"the Hokage spoke in anger at the man"unlike you I have no remorse for my actions,if you had handled the blonds life like you swore to a dying Kushina that night,he wouldn't wanna destroy the very village you swore to protect you idiot,my root watched the boy when your nin was busy with other things and reported back to me that he was a loose cannon"the man spoke in a rather angered tone"and how the hell do you manage to have three more nin go missing that could flatten the village"Sarutobi hung his head at the truth coming from the mans lips,Danzo ran through hand signs and blowed a mighty gust of wind blades towards the men trying to kill him,they jumped away to counter attack with jutsu of their own,the man ran through more hand signs while throwing a few kuni,they doubled in number while speeding towards the trio across from him.
Sarutobi threw off his formal robes and threw them to the side,the air around him seemed to shift with rising intensity,his feet digging into the earth before he bolted full speed towards the man he once considered a close friend,the area shook from a small shockwave the third produced,the earth shattering around the clearing as Danzo realized his rival was more powerful than he let on,Danzo weaved backwards in small jumps to avoid a direct hit,even his Shaningan had trouble keeping up with his movements, everything seemed to be a blur to the other two nin attempting to help,they bolted towards the frey with grim faces,the man they where facing was a powerhouse for good reason,other nin flooded the area to see what the large spike of chakra was,the Inuzuka was first arrive,Tsume snarled to herself when she spotted who had caused all the ruckus"Danzo you damn snake,I should have known you had it out for us"the woman seethed to the ground while watching the intense fight,Sarutobi jumped away and gathered himself,his chest was heaving in and out.
Naruto blinked while looking towards the west,a large chakra spike alerting him to a serious battle,the group had made it to wave country a day ago and they had slowed there pace to a comfortable jog"you all felt that too I assuming"Jiraiya spoke out while keeping his pace,the others nodded with a collective yes,he frowned and looked forward"you know what fuck it I need some action"the blond spoke sprinting away,the others eyes bulged out of there heads"oh kami he's erratic as hell"the Sannin called out to the others,their own faces showing a frown to his sudden flip,they chased after him in hopes of talking him down,they reached him as he had a new look in his eyes 'hun stop this,your risking your new families life if you go battle the village,calm yourself' the woman spoke startling the blond to a standstill,they other catching up and watching as he had a internal struggle in his mind,the boys face shifting though emotional distress like a ocean,it finally settled on pure agony and grief,his mind torn asunder by the sudden change,he struggled to cope with the extreme change in thoughts.
Sarutobi flashed through handsigns and sucked in before launching a rather large air bullet hurdling towards him,Danzo went to move when he realized his fatal mistake"you damned Nara and your shadow possession jutsu"he growled out while struggling to move,a smirking Skikaku had caught the man off gaurd in a bold move to turn the tide of the battle,Sarutobi watched as the man smiled while taking the air bullet,his eyes unsettled by the mans hollow eyes,a large boom engulfed the area as it made contact with him,the others jumped away from the blast that had been created,the dust and debris flying all around the rather large training ground,the dust settled to reveal a horrible sight,chunks of body had been scattered among the battlefield,blood littered the area in small puddles,Sarutobi was first to come back and witness the carnage caused by his attack,he hung his head in shame and fell to his knees"gods why did this have to happen"the man spoke to himself while his Anbu rushed to check on him,he waved them off"I'm fine,just…"the man was cut off by a snicker from the woods,his eyes bulged from his head as the man he swore he just killed walked back into the clearing"my my very impressive Saru,tell me did it occure to you how easy this felt"the man spoke in a chiding tone,the aged hokage's eyes widened at the fact that he had fallen for a genjutsu,a simple one at that,he snarled under his breath while getting back up,his knees shook with weakness as he continued to stand"I will not fail the village again"the Hokage whispered to himself while preparing one final move"if I die your coming with me, you bastard"Sarutobi yelled while doing handsigns while running towards the man smiling at him,Danzo blinked when he recognized the seals being done,his eyes widened while he stood locked,he screamed in his head to move but his body had failed him it seems,he had misjudged his over usage of chakra during the fight.
The others in the area felt a chill run up there spine's while the rain poured down even harder,thunder roared in the distance as a powerful lightning bolt flashed nearby,the feild was turning to mud at this rate the aged man thought to himself while pumping chakra into his feet to keep his balance,he had one shot at this and was gonna make good on it 'Naruto my boy please forgive me that's all I ask' the Hokage thought with a sad look to his features,he reached the man and completed the jutsu,a hellish vision overtook the area as the shinigami appeared behind the leader with a mighty visage"this ends here old friend"the man spoke with a sad smile while the demon reached through him and grabbed Danzo and began to pull,the man screamed and cursed in agony as he felt his soul leave"you bastard,I could have saved this village,now it will perish under the feet of the Kyuubi" the dying man shouted out in his last breath,the man standing across from him smiled while bringing him into a hug"well maybe we deserve it"he spoke out soft while feeling his life force slip away,the other nin rushed to save him,he slumped down and fell backwards,Sarutobi felt his eyes close slowly"everyone please listen to me,I love you all more than you will ever know,please don't let my death be in vain"the old man choked out while gasping for his last breath,a distraught Asuma rushed forward to save his dying father,tears running freely down his face in mixed rage and sorrow"kami no please don't take him"the man pleaded to the heavens,but it seemed his words where lost on deaf ears from above.
Naruto perked up when he felt a shudder roll over his body,they had made camp outside the large town,the clouds had turned dark grey the last thirty minutes with echos of thunder in the distance,he shrugged it off and kept sharping his tanto while humming a tune, Jiraiya sighed while looking up at the sky sitting across from the blond"something big just happened I can feel it"the man whispered out loud,Naruto huffed and stopped to look at him with a look"glad I'm not the only one who felt it,hey Kakashi you felt it too im guessing"the blond spoke while turning to the man sitting to his left on a log,he was carving on a small block and looked up"honestly yeah I did,and I have to say I'm concerned a little"the silver haired man spoke while putting up his kuni and block of wood,he summoned a small Ninkin into existence with a cloud"what's up Kakashi"the small dog greeted with a rather deep voice"I'm good pakkun but I have a feeling something horrible happened to the village,can you go check it out and report back to me please"the man spoke in a rather serious voice,the dog nodded while dashing away, Kakashi lowered his head.
