16. Scent

Donna's exquisite taste is not limited to handbags, heels or dress. Perfumes are also somethings she's very picky. In fact, Harvey has changed perfumes twice because Donna didnt approve of it. She hates the strong and powering scent of some elements like oak. Telling him the scent makes her dizzy and she cant do her work if she's dizzy all the time. It was just her excuse to make him change his perfume.

Her strong sense of smell is the reason how she could tell if Harvey's dating or sleeping with someone. She could smell women's perfume on him.

"Ohh Chanel no.5 the woman's got a taste!" She teased him as soon as she saw him and walked with him along the halls, towards his office.

"What?"

"You're sleeping with someone" She's sure of it.

"I am not" Harvey said but it only took one look from Donna for him to say the truth. "Okay fine I did"

She doesnt know if its a blessing or a curse because then the scent reminds her of Harvey and his women. She's changed perfume too just because Harvey's flavor of the week has the same one.

Then there's Scottie's scent and then Paula's.

Now that they're in Seattle and married, her scent also stays on Harvey's clothes, especially when they snuggle too long. And his scent stays on hers, of course, which she likes because it makes her feel that they're together even if they aren't. There are times where one of them stays longer than usual at the office and they dont go home together.

"You're home" Donna stood up from the living room to meet Harvey and gave him a kiss. Until she smelled something which made her frown. She sniffed Harvey's neck.

"What are you doing?" He asked.

"Bvlgari"

"What?"

"You smell like Bvlgari omnia, a woman's perfume"

"Yeah the opposing counsel was a woman, we were in the conference room for a depo."

"That long? The scent lingered to you?"

"She sprayed her perfume in the conference room! And she's a prick!" Harvey complained and told her the story of the case and what happened why he went home late.

It wasnt only with Harvey but it happened with Mike recently too. Rachel saw Mike smelling the lapels of his suit, because Donna said he smelled bad, but he's been using the same perfume ever since. Donna even told him before that his scent is good and told her that it was Rachel who chose the scent.

Then one morning, while they were getting ready for work, Donna asked Harvey to change his perfume again.

"I swear Harvey you better change it. It smells weird!"

"What? You're the one who picked this one a long time ago!" Harvey's a little bit annoyed. Donna has a weird sense of smell lately.

"Did I?! Then why does it smell weird to me?" She asked innocently, until she realized something and her eyes are as wide as it can be.

Just at the same time when she felt throwing up. "Holyshit!"
