A few days after the surprise party, Malcolm was finished with his secret machine and had gathered some people to demonstrate it to.
"Alright Malcolm, what is this machine you have been making?" asked Jim as he stood with Tayloy, Elisabeth, and Abedabun.
"A duplication machine, watch," said Malcolm as he placed a chunk of gold onto a table under a glass cylinder attached to the machine. There was a glass cylinder like it on the other side of the machine as well.
"Here we go," said Malcolm as he turned on the machine. Suddenly, the gold was engulfed in a bright light.
"Could have warned us about the light," said Taylor as everyone covered their eyes and reeled back.
"Sorry, but check this out," said Malcolm as he turned the machine off, causing the light to dive down.
"What was that supposed to… do?" asked Elisabeth as she noticed another chunk of gold under the other glass cylinder that was identical to the one that Malcome had put into the machine to begin with.
"This machine can duplicate anything exactly," said Malcolm with a smile.
"Wait, can it duplicate even organic stuff?" asked Jim.
"Yes, I tested it on an apple and it worked fine, what do you have in mind?" asked Malcolm.
"I wanted to know because I had the idea of taking Slasher tails and making bullets out of them," said Jim as he took out a knife made from said material.
"That's a good idea," said Abedabun.
"Well I better get back to the hospital," said Elisabeth.
"See you at home," said Jim as he kissed her. Once she was outside, Elisabeth walked up to Skye who looked like she had been waiting for her.
"You look like you saw a ghost, Skye," said Elisabeth.
"I need a favor," said Skye with a worried expression.
