Hey, so I finally managed to finish the chapter.

DCDGojira, thank you. Bemular's role in season 2? That's a really good question. For the sake of spoilers, I won't say much. All I can say is that it won't be as much as you'd expect.

ChaosDeathLord, yeah, season 1 is nearing its end soon. I'll be moving on to season 2 here soon. As for Finé capturing Shinjiro for Spacium energy, that's a really idea, I might make use of that. As for whether the other suits will appear, I mentioned them in a few earlier chapters. They might or might not appear. You'll just have to read on.

IdeaPerson1097, yeah, I noticed that. I'm using my Android phone to write, and at times my Ipad. So the keyboard is different, and there might be some typos here and there. I corrected the one you pointed out, of course.

I wanted to have Shinjiro be more balanced, hence the Ultra Barrier. As for the Limiter Release, it'll come soon.

I'm still not sure if I'm making it a harem. I'm gonna focus on building their relationships first, and then introduce all Symphogears, before deciding if they are suitable for a harem.

Karlos1234ify, thank you. I hope you had a read of it, it's quite a different take on the classic Ultraman we all know.

So yeah, here's the new chapter. Please enjoy.

Shinjiro blinked as he spotted Chris collapsed on the ground, and Miku looked at him, "Do you know her? No, that aside, we need to get an ambulance!"

Miku started reaching for her phone, until the teen grabbed her arm, stopping her from reaching for her phone, "No, wait!"

Miku looked at him with a confused stare, "Huh? What are you doing? We need to call an ambulance!"

Shinjiro looked at Chris, "No, we can't. She's... Chris' is one of the enemies we fought against... But, I'm not sure now..."

He thought back to when she told him to stay off the streets, and what had happened recently. Shinjiro scratched his head.

He looked at the girl. He couldn't possibly leave her here like that, nor could he call an ambulance. HQ would definitely be notified and he didn't want that.

Not when Shinjiro had not determined if she was really an enemy. And he couldn't possibly bring her home.

Shinjiro looked at Miku, "If we bring her to a hospital, then she'll be taken away, definitely. Do you know somewhere safe and private we can take her to?"

Miku blinked, she blinked again, and she nodded, "The lady at Flower is very kind, I don't think she'd turn her away."

Shinjiro nodded. That was the best he could get, he supposed. He then walked to the unconscious girl and glanced at Miku, "Come on, help me pull her up."

The two hoisted Chris up, and much to Shinjiro's surprise, the girl didn't so much stir when they pulled her up. He glanced at Miku, "Alright, are we heading straight for Flower?"

Miku nodded, "Yes, I'm sure Obaa-san will help her."

Shinjiro nodded, and the two started carrying Chris all the way to the okonomiyaki shop, which, fortunately, was simply a block away.

After approximately ten minutes, Shinjiro used his shoulder to push the door open, and the lady that owned the shop greeted, "Welcome..."

She trailed off when she saw Shinjiro and Miku carrying Chris, and the black haired girl smiled in a slightly embarrassed way, "Umm, Obaa-san, you mind giving us a hand?"

The woman blinked and quickly walked out of the kitchen, "Tell me what happened."

Shinjiro nodded, "We found her unconscious in an alley. Not sure why..."

She nodded and pulled open a door, revealing a set of stairs that led up the building, "Bring her up here."

Shinjiro and Miku both carefully carried the girl up the stairs, until the lady gestured to a small room with a tatami mat, "Lie her down there, I'll get some first aid supplies to treat her."

Shinjiro nodded as they let the girl down, "I'll help too."

The lady just looked at him weirdly as she went to grab the supplies, and Miku gave him a light glare, "Shinjiro-San..."

The girl gestured to Chris' unconscious form, and Shinjiro realized what his words may have implied to them, and he held back a blush, "S-sorry! I didn't mean it like that!"

He spluttered, before speaking, "Umm, I'll just... wait outside."

Miku sighed as the owner of Flower came back with a first aid kid, "Boys..."

The lady just chuckled as she looked at Chris, "So, how did you find her?"

Miku frowned as she took off Chris' clothes, revealing several bruises here and there, "We found her in the alley when we were coming over here."

The lady smiled, "I see. And it was just you and that young man alone?"

Miku nodded as they started cleaning Chris' wounds, wiping off some dirt as they did, "Yes."

The woman smiled coyly, "Ara, so are you two on a date? I don't see your other friend with you."

The girl tensed, before opting to smile, "No way, Obaa-san, we live in two totally different worlds. Besides, Hibiki..."

Miku caught herself and shook her head. However, the woman seemed to take it differently and smiled sadly, "I see... well, sometimes it'll be like that."

Miku just nodded, "Let's just focus on helping her first."

The lady chuckled and nodded, "Fine fine..."

(linebreak)

After a while, the owner of Flower allowed Shinjiro to enter the room, and she gave him a stern stare, "Now, we're done treating her, but we don't have any spare clothes, and Miku-chan only brought her gym clothes, so do not enter the room, okay?"

The teen nodded frantically, not daring to say otherwise, "Yes ma'am."

The woman nodded, "Good, now since you're here, come help me."

Shinjiro blinked, "E-eh?"

The owner of the establishment looked at him, "What, do you think I'd let a hormonal teenage boy be in the same room as a cute girl and an unconscious young lady with nothing but a gym shirt on?"

Shinjiro grimaced, "Okay, it sounds really bad if you put it that way..."

The lady nodded, "It does, doesn't it? Now come on, you can at least help wash the dishes."

The teen sighed, "Got it..."

Shinjiro followed the otherwise kind woman downstairs, and Miku, who overheard that exchange, giggled to herself.

The black haired girl sighed to herself as she placed a wet towel on Chris' forehead, wiping off the last of the dirt.

As if on cue, Chris started coughing, and her eyes snapped open.

Miku smiled, "Ah, you're awake."

Chris' eyes darted around, and she spotted Miku, whom she easily recognized, "Where am I?"

The girl answered softly, "Don't worry, this place is safe."

Chris nodded, "I see..."

Miku then added, "Oh, and we had your clothes washed since they were soaked and dirty. They should be in the drier now, but I didn't have any spare clothes, so I hope you don't mind."

Only then did Chris realize she was wearing a school gym shirt that was a bit too tight for her, and she scowled, "No one asked for you to do that!"

Miku sighed, "It couldn't be helped, you were dirty and hurt."

The lavender haired girl then noticed some bandages around her body, and she frowned, "Did you see them?"

Miku blinked, "What?"

Chris glared at her lightly, "My...wounds..."

The blacked haired girl nodded, "Yes, what happened to you?"

The girl's glare intensified, "It's none of your business!"

Miku was slightly taken aback by the response and she lowered her head, "I'm sorry... I'm just not good with words..."

Chris blinked at the sudden change in demeanor, "Ha? No, I didn't mean it that way!"

Miku shook her head, "It's fine..."

The lavender haired girl frowned, "Okay, you're pissing me off. Spill it, did something happen?"

The black haired girl pondered for a while, before responding, "I never wanted to do anything to break my relationships, but it'd seem that I managed to destroy the one I cared for the most."

Chris blinked, "Sooo, you had a fight with someone?"

Miku nodded, "I guess so..."

She looked at Chris, "Have you ever gotten into a fight with a friend?"

Chris sighed, "I...don't have any friends."

Miku blinked, "Eh?"

The lavender haired girl grumbled, "My parents died when I was young, and they were on the opposite side of the globe when that happened. Every since then, I've always been alone. And the adults were all useless pieces of shit... Even the only one I thought I could trust turned out to be using me."

Chris gripped the sheets tightly, and Miku looked down, "I'm sorry..."

The Ichaival user stared at her weirdly, "Why are you apologizing? It's not like it's your fault or anything."

Miku replied, "But I made you remember all those stuff..."

Chris sighed, "It's fine. Speaking of which, you should just beat up that person you fought with. Show em who's the stronger one, then you can just simply make up."

The girl shook her head, "I can't possibly do that..."

The lavender haired girl raised an eyebrow, "Hmm... Why?"

Miku smiled sadly, "Because I don't want to hurt her."

Chris sighed, "I don't get it, but whatever, it's your choice."

The black haired girl smiled, "Thank you, oh, and I should go check on your clothes, they should be done by now."

Miku got up and went to the back of the floor, where the washing machine and dryer were, and Chris frowned, not understanding why Miku thanked her.

Soon, Miku came back with her clothes, "Here."

Chris thanked her softly and took the clothes, quickly getting changed, and Miku asked, "Oh, speaking of which, I didn't get your name."

The girl stared at Miku, before grumbling out, "It's Chris. Yukine Chris."

Miku smiled, as she quickly folded her gym shirt, "Then, Chris, if you don't mind, how about I be your friend?"

Upon hearing those words, Chris flinched, and she walked away to the entrance of the room, "But... I did terrible things to you..."

Miku blinked in confusion, having not heard Chris' words clearly, "Chris?"

"So, you're awake?"

Chris' head snapped over to the direction of the familiar voice, and she spotted Shinjiro coming up the stairs.

Miku blinked, "Oh, Shinjiro-san."

Shinjiro sighed, "That lady finally let me go after I washed all her dishes... But that's not important."

He looked at Chris, "How are you feeling?"

Chris glared at him, "Why are you here?"

Shinjiro noticed she was immediately on guard, and sighed, "Don't worry, this place is safe. No Section 2, no police, no SSSP."

The girl glared at him, "And why should I believe you?"

The teen stared at her, "You told me to stay out of the streets that night. I'm returning that favor."

Chris blinked, before she narrowed her eyes, "So, really no security guards or anything here?"

Shinjiro nodded, "Aside from me, Miku and that old lady downstairs, no."

The girl narrowed her eyes at him, "I still don't trust you."

Shinjiro nodded, "Understandable."

He then walked past her and sat by a coffee table, "So, Miku, do you still want to get some lunch? That crazy lady might have closed the shop, but I'm sure it's because of Chris here, and she'd probably cook up something for you."

"Call me old or crazy again, and you'll be washing the dishes for next three days here as payment for helping out that young lady."

Shinjiro flinched when the owner of Flower came up, and the lady smiled kindly, her tone taking a 180, "So, Miku-chan, are you hungry? I have some okonomiyaki downstairs. Oh, and young lady, you can join too. That young man will be paying, after all."

Shinjiro sighed, "Don't I have a say in this?"

The lady smiled kindly, "No."

The teen sighed, "Fine, whatever."

Chris blinked in confusion, while Miku just giggled as the two went down. Miku glanced at Chris, "Come on, let's follow them and eat."

The lavender haired girl decided to just screw it with thinking and followed Miku down the stairs, and she exited the door to see a modest shop, with various seats and a kitchenette.

The lady was already preparing three sets of okonomiyaki, and Shinjiro was sitting at the counter. Miku quickly sat down beside him, and gestured to Chris to sit beside her.

The lady smiled kindly as she prepared the food, "Just wait a moment, it'll be done soon."

The three teenagers nodded as they waited. As she cooked, the woman asked, "So, what's your name, young lady?"

Chris blinked, as the woman glanced at her, "C-Chris."

The woman nodded, "Hmm, Chris eh? A beautiful name. Where are you from?"

Chris' first reaction was to shoot her down with sarcasm, but the girl found herself answering, "I was born here in Japan. But my parents brought me around the world, and I ended up living in the UK for a few years after they bit the dust... I guess I'm back here now."

The lady blinked as Shinjiro and Miku stayed silent, "I... I see, my condolences for your parents."

She gave the the three each a plate of okonomiyaki, and the three said their thanks, "Itadakimasu."

Chris took a bite, and her eyes widened in slight surprise, and she took another bite. Then another. And another. Then another. Until when she realized it, Chris had already finished the plate of food.

The lady smiled, "How is it? Good, right?"

Chris nodded silently, before she asked softly, "Can I have another one?"

The woman smiled, "Ah of course!"

She quickly went back to cooking, but not before giving the only male in the shop a brief glance.

Shinjiro paused eating, before nodding silently, lamenting the fact that his wallet would be slightly lighter when they left the shop.

After wolfing down the next plate, Chris realized how much she had eaten, and spoke shyly, "Umm, thank you."

The woman laughed, "You're welcome. But that young man's paying anyway, so no harm done."

Chris blinked, and Miku giggled at Shinjiro's expression, before the lavender haired girl spoke out, "I'll pay you back later."

The owner of Flower gave Shinjiro a stare, and the teen sighed, "No need to pay me back. Just think of this as my treat."

Shinjiro stared back at the woman, as if to ask, 'Happy?'

Obviously, she was happy, but spoke nothing. Or rather, she didn't have the chance to say anything, because a loud siren could be heard coming from outside, much to Miku and the owner's shock.

Chris blinked, "Hmm, what is this?"

Miku glanced at her, "Eh, you don't know? It's the Noise!"

The girl turned to the lady, "Obaa-chan, we should get going!"

The lady nodded and quickly exited the kitchen, "Okay, let's get going!"

Shinjiro followed them, but he was more concerned with Chris' actions. The lavender haired girl looked around, spotting civilians fleeing in terror, and she looked at where everyone was running from.

The girl clenched her fists, gritted her teeth, before she broke into a sprint. Miku blinked, "Chris?!"

Shinjiro stared on, before he spoke, "Don't worry, I'll watch over her. Miku-san, and ma'am, you two get to safety."

The lady blinked, "Eh? What about you two?"

Shinjiro simply gripped his watch, "Don't worry. We'll be fine. Now get going!"

He ran after Chris, leaving Miku and the owner there. Watching his shrinking figure, Miku looked at the owner, "They'll be fine, we need to go."

The lady lookee back at Shinjiro, and Chris' shrinking figured, before she nodded and ran with Miku, not noticing the one octopus like Noise watching them.

Chris ran. She ran. She ran until she couldn't breathe, and she saw all the Noises that caused all the chaos.

The girl thought back on why she had chosen the path she was on. Her main reason for doing everything she'd done so far.

Chris glared at them, "Every time I try to do something right... I always end up hurting innocents... I hate this!"

Tears glistened in her eyes, and it was taking all she had to not just cry out in rage. But Chris instead clenched her fists, and gritted her teeth.

The girl glared at the Noise, knowing that the one behind this would surely hear her, "I'm here! Don't involve any more innocent people!"

The Noises seemed to react to her words. Whether by instinct, or by the orders of the cane's bearer, Chris didn't know.

What she did know, was that she had to fight.

The girl dodged the first few Noises that shot at her, and she started to sing, "Killter Ichaival tro-guhhh..."

Chris forgot in the heat of the moment, that she had sprinted quite some distance to reach here, and she choked on her own breath/saliva.

The Noises didn't forgive such a mishap, and shot towards the now vulnerable girl, very much intending on ending her life.

Chris' eyes widened in shock, and she barely readied herself to face her fate, until a very familiar siren/beeping sound reached her ears, and a blue beam of light struck down all the Noises.

The girl scowled as Ultraman landed before her, "I didn't ask for your help."

Shinjiro threw a couple of the Ultra Slash rings, taking down a few more Noises, "Didn't need to."

Chris' scowl deepened, until they spotted three airborne Noises, forming into missiles that aimed at Chris. Shinjiro narrowed his eyes and readied to blast them away, only to hear Chris sing.

"Killter Ichaival tron..."

(Play Makyu Ichaival)

The girl blasted the three Noises away with her own crossbow, and she stared at Shinjiro, "I can take care of myself, you go help anyone else who needs it."

Shinjiro stared at Chris for a moment, before he nodded, "Got it."

He then flew away, leaving Chris to fend for herself. The girl turned her focus on the Noises in front of her, first things first, she needed to vent, and then help people.

Chris aimed her crossbow, singing as she fired arrow after arrow that took down the Noises.

One of the slim and tall types tried to strike her from behind, but Chris simply slid her crossbow under her armpit and shot it down.

Kicking down another one, Chris changed her crossbows for a pair of gatling guns and rained hell upon them.

Yet, no matter how many Noises she took down, more came to replace them. Chris gritted her teeth and roared, shooting out a wave of missiles from her waist armor, taking them down.

The girl growled, angry at both Finé and herself, before proceeding to go around the town and destroyed more of the Noises.

As Chris went off, she failed to notice two pairs of eyes watching her. One belonged to a red haired martial artist, while the other belonged to a certain Ultraman lookalike.

Bemular glanced down at Genjuro, who was none the wiser that he was being watched, before focusing on Chris, 'Hmm, you never fail to surprise me, Yukine Chris.'

He turned to look at the Noises destroying the town, and he watched them in distaste, 'Finé, is this really what you want?'

Bemular then turned back to watch Chris as she destroyed Noise after Noise, and as she fought, Bemular noticed the tears flowing from her eyes as she took them down.

As for Genjuro, the man simply furrowed his brows, more frustrated at himself more than anything as he watched Chris fight.

(linebreak)

Meanwhile, Shinjiro blasted Noise after Noise away. He kicked and punched at every Noise he could find, using his Spacium Kousen and Ultra Slash to take them down.

As he fought, he heard Moroboshi's voice, "Hey brat, you copy?"

Shinjiro nodded as he kicked another Noise, "Yeah, 'sup?"

He could literally hear the older man's frown as Moroboshi spoke, "I'm taking the west side. You're northeast, make your way south and clear off any Noises there. The Noises all came from one single point, so we can clean them up easily."

Shinjiro glanced at the map data Moroboshi sent him on his HUD, and he nodded, "Copy that."

The comms cut off, and Shinjiro went back to clearing off the Noises.

(Linebreak)

Meanwhile, Hibiki was running through the streets. Aoi had told Tsubasa not to involve herself, especially since her body was still weak.

So that left Shinjiro, Moroboshi and herself to defend the people. Moroboshi had gone to the west side of the town, while Shinjiro was apparently making his way to defeat the Noises from Flower. That was north east of the town, and he was slowly making his way south.

That left Hibiki to fight the Noises in the southeast sector.

As she ran, Hibiki heard a very familiar voice scream, and the girl blinked as she recognized the voice, 'That voice... Miku?!'

Hibiki ran towards the direction of the scream, finding herself in front of a half constructed building. She frowned, and walked into the building, "Is anyone here?"

Immediately after she yelled out, an orange tendril shot out of nowhere, and only thanks to her reflexes that Hibiki managed to land safely on the bottom floor.

The girl glared at the Noise, and she opened her mouth, "Balwisyall N-mmm?!"

She was cut off when a hand clasped around her mouth, and Hibiki glanced over to see Miku staring at her, and the old lady from Flower unconscious at a side.

Miku placed a finger at her lips, before bringing out her phone and typed, 'That thing reacts to sound.'

Hibiki blinked, and Miku typed out another sentence, 'It chased Obaa-chan and I here.'

Hibiki nodded, before she frowned, 'I can't sing without putting them at risk... what do I do?'

Miku typed out another sentence, before showing it to Hibiki, 'I'll lure it away, and you bring Obaa-chan to safety.'

Hibiki's eyes widened, and she typed out on her phone, 'No! It's dangerous!'

The black haired girl smiled, and she typed out, 'It'll be fine. You may outrun me now, but I'm still a former track team member. I can do it.'

The cream haired girl frowned, 'No. You'll get hurt!'

Miku's reply caused Hibiki to widen her eyes, 'Then protect me.'

She then leaned in and spoke softly before Hibiki could reply, "Shinjiro-san told me, that you fought so hard to protect everyone, to protect me. Yet, I said all those things to you. I'm sorry..."

Hibiki blinked, "Miku..."

Miku continued, "I know I wasn't being fair to you... But I didn't want to be the only one left out... I want to be with you, Hibiki."

She smiled, "Besides, right now, you're the only one I can fully trust."

Hibiki blinked, "Miku..."

Miku stood up, "That's why, Hibiki, please don't leave me out, even if Shinjiro-san is in this, don't leave me alone. Because I AM HERE!"

The Noise immediately reacted, and the girl broke into a sprint, dashing out of the building. As expected, it immediately chased after her.

Hibiki sat there, still processing what had just happened, before her eyes snapped over to the older woman's unconscious figure, and she sang, "Balwisyall Nescell Gungnir Tron..."

(Play Watashi to Iu Oto Hibiki Sono Saki Ni)

The girl donned her armor in but an instant, and grabbed the lady before shooting out of the building. Hibiki tightened her grip on the older woman, and she landed on the roof of the building, before dashing towards one of the shelters.

Hibiki dashed from roof to roof, until she reached the shelter, and she spotted Shinji directing the civilians, "Ogawa-san!"

The man glanced at her as she landed, "Hibiki-san."

Hibiki handed the lady over to the man, "Please take care of her."

Shinji nodded, "Will do. What about you?"

The girl stood up, "I still have something to do."

Not waiting for a reply, Hibiki leapt away, leaving Shinji with the woman.

As she leapt from building to building, Hibiki tightened her jaw, 'Miku... where did you go?'

The girl could only keep an eye out as she searched for her friend. The longer she did, the more worried she became.

By now, half an hour had already passed, and Hibiki could no longer hear the sounds of Noises rampaging through the town, yet she still couldn't find her best friend.

Until Hibiki spotted them. There they were, Miku and that one octopus Noise, on top of a steep hill.

Hibiki instantly dashed forward, using her armor to boost her forward.

Yet, the moment she did, as if fate was purposely playing with her, the Noise's tentacles lashed out, striking the ground right by Miku, and tripped her.

It then lashed out again, swinging its tentacles at Miku, and the girl barely managed to get to her feet and got out of the way.

By doing so, she was sent off the cliff, falling.

Hibiki's eyes widened, "MIKU!"

The girl ignited her thrusters, doing her best to reach out to her best friend. But, she wouldn't make it.

Hibiki was simply too far away to cover that distance in that short amount of time.

Miku closed her eyes as the ground neared her, and she prepared for her doom. But it did not came.

Instead, Miku felt a pair of arms wrap around her, and it wasn't Hibiki.

The girl opened her eyes to see a blue glowing sphere in front of her, and she realized who had helped her.

Shinjiro flew up, and yelled, "Hibiki!"

The girl roared back with renewed vigor, "OSU!"

Hibiki charged up her gauntlet, and dashed towards the airborne, and mlre importantly, vulnerable Noise. Then, she punched.

In the next instant, the Noise shattered to pieces, and Hibiki landed on the ground on her feet, while Shinjiro landed softly, before letting Miku onto the ground.

The girl looked at Shinjiro, "Thank you, Shinjiro-san."

Shinjiro nodded, "Anytime."

Miku nodded her thanks again, before she looked over to Hibiki, who had taken off her Symphogear armor, "That was awesome, Hibiki!"

Hibiki giggled sheepishly, "You think so?"

The black haired girl just nodded with a smile, "Of course!"

Miku blinked and looked at Shinjiro, "Oh, Shinjiro-san was cool too of course."

Shinjiro sighed, "Sure sure... Now let's get going. The commander and the others have a barricade set up. We'll meet up with them there."

The girls smiled at each other and followed the Ultraman back to the rendezvous point.

(Linebreak)

After a short trip, the three of them stood before Genjuro, Shinji, Shin, Ide and Moroboshi.

The user of the Seven armor stared at them sternly to the point that one would mistake it as a glare, "So, not only did you ignore the meaning of discretion, you went and involved a bystander, and now you want her to be part of our team?"

Hibiki flinched as the bespectacled man stared at her, "I'm very sorry, Moroboshi-san, Shishou..."

Shinjiro spoke up, "Hey, Morobo-"

The man cut him off with a stern stare/glare, "And you, why in the nine hells did you not stop this idiot? Tachibana I can understand, the girl is her friend. But you have no excuses!"

Genjuro chuckled, "Calm down, Moroboshi-kun. Having someone who wants to help is a good thing. Besides, it helps that Hibiki-kun won't need to cover up her duties any more."

Shinji and Ide both nodded, and Moroboshi sighed, "Very well."

The two teens visibly relaxed at that, before tensed when the bespectacled man stared at them, "But don't think you're off the hook just like this, if I catch you two doing this one more time..."

The man trailed off, before walking away to assist with cleaning up the area.

Shinji sighed, "That man really needs to get a life, or a girlfriend, or whichever comes first."

He walked to Miku and handed her her bag, "Here, the lady from Flower told me to give it back to you."

Miku blinked and took it with a smile, "Thank you."

Shinji just nodded, but before he could respond, a loud screech reached their ears, and everyone recognised the sound of break pads straining, as a familiar neon pink car entered the area.

The car stopped before them, and Ryoko got off the car, before very much flamboyantly went and took control over the cleaning process.

Genjuro chuckled as he shook his head, "Alright, let's head back. You all deserve some rest. Just leave the rest to us, it's our time to work, as adults."

Everyone started to head back, until Shinjiro approached Genjuro, "Hey commander, about Yukine Chris."

Genjuro looked at him, "Hmm, what about her?"

The current Ultraman spoke, his eyes steeling, "Can we discuss this at a quieter place?"

The redhead nodded, "Sure."

(Linebreak)

The two sat down by a cafe, which was vacant since the owners were still in a shelter.

Genjuro grabbed two refrigerated cans of coffee, placing money on the counter as he sat down. He then handed Shinjiro one, "So, what did you want to talk about?"

Shinjiro took the can gratefully, before he spoke, "About Yukine Chris, I don't think she's really our enemy."

Genjuro raised an eyebrow as he popped the can open, "Hmm? What makes you say that?"

The teen took a breath, "To be honest, I actually met her on the streets that night Chris appeared with the Nehushtan."

The man hummed, "Now that's news to me. What happened?"

Shinjiro chuckled sheepishly, "Ah I kinda spilled her drink and had to buy her one..."

Genjuro smiled amusedly, "Hmm, interesting story."

The teen nodded slowly, "But, when she left, she told me to stay home at night."

The commander nodded, "I see... But Shinjiro-kun, you don't mean to tell me you're basing everything on that, are you? Just because someone shows you a bit of mercy, doesn't mean that they aren't the enemy."

Shinjiro nodded, "I know. I also met her today. She was hurt, like she had been through a fight. And it definitely wasn't with us. Also, Chris fought the Noises with me... Besides, Hibiki wants to resolve this peacefully. I want to help her do that."

Genjuro chuckled, "I see. Good. Then we are both in agreement."

Shinjiro blinked, "E-eh?"

The commander drank half of his coffee, before putting the can down, "As you know, I was part of the team that looked for Yukine Chris, and a few of the missing Attuned candidates. But that wasn't all..."

He looked at the younger man, "I was also supposed to take care of Yukine Chris, but she went missing before I could take her in."

Shinjiro blinked, "Then, why did you ask me all that?"

Genjuro chuckled, "Ah, because I wanted to check how serious you actually were. I wasn't lying when I said that."

The teen nodded slowly, "I see..."

The man grinned, "Well, don't worry about it. I'll handle this."

Shinjiro nodded, "Got it, thank you, commander."

Genjuro grinned, "Now go get some rest and let us handle the rest."

Shinjiro nodded and left the cafe, leaving Genjuro to rejoin his team.

The next day, Tsubasa laid in a full body scanner.

After laying there for 5 minutes, the girl got off, and the doctor nodded, "Good, as of now, I can confidently say that you are ready to resume your daily routine as usual, including your other duties."

Tsubasa smiled, "Thank you."

The doctor smiled, "Just doing my job. We'll get some nurses to help you clear up with the paper work, okay?"

The popstar nodded, "That'd be appreciated. Thank you."

After clearing off the paperwork, Tsubasa had gone back to HQ, and she blinked when she saw Shinjiro, Hibiki and Miku.

Hibiki beamed when she noticed her, "Oh, Tsubasa-san!"

The cream haired girl jogged over to her, "How are you?"

Tsubasa smiled, "I'm doing good. You seem in high spirits today."

Shinjiro chuckled, "Of course. Her best friend's here with her today."

The bluenette nodded, before regarding Miku, "Hello."

Miku smiled, "Hi, I'm Kohinata Miku, nice to meet you."

Tsubasa nodded, "I'm Kazanari Tsubasa, nice to meet you too."

Hibiki grinned and spoke proudly, "She's my best friend too!"

Shinjiro sighed, "And why are you proud of that?"

The cream haired girl spluttered, before giving him a half hearted glare, "I'll have you know that I'm the only one who can say that they're Miku's best friend!"

Miku giggled, "That's true I guess."

Shinjiro just sighed exasperatedly, before Tsubasa asked, "So, you're the person that wanted to help out?"

Miku nodded, "Y-yes."

Shinjiro chuckled, "Well, my dad, Ide-san and the commander had to pull some strings to make it easier for your admission. Also to make sure that you don't get any trouble."

Miku nodded, "And I'm grateful for that."

"Well, she'll probably be helping me or Aoi-san and Fujikata-san in the comms section for a bit, just to make sure no one suspects anything."

Everyone turned to see Shinji walking to them.

Tsubasa blinked, "Ogawa-san."

Shinji smiled and nodded, "Tsubasa-san, it's time soon."

He brought out a pair of spectacles and slid them on, and Hibiki blinked, "Eh? You're back to work already, Tsubasa-san?"

Tsubasa smiled, "Sort of. I'm simply reviewing and remaking my schedules for the next few days. I'll be starting to actually do stuff starting the day after tomorrow."

Hibiki oh'd, "I see I see..."

Shinji nodded, "And that's how it is. But we still need to report to the commander about Tsubasa-san's health, have you seen him?"

The four shrugged, and Shinjiro spoke, "Nope. We haven't seen him the entire day."

Shinji sighed and just nodded, "Guess we'll have to wait then."

(Linebreak)

Meanwhile, Genjuro and Moroboshi were in an abandoned building. The redhead was carrying a small plastic bag, while the bespectacled man held a katana.

Genjuro spoke as they entered, "Listen, Moroboshi-kun, under no circumstances are you to engage her, understand?"

The man narrowed his eyes, "I will only act if she gives me a reason to."

Genjuro stared at him sternly, "Moroboshi-kun. We're not here to fight."

Moroboshi stared back with equal intensity, "Wrong. You're not here to fight. I'm here to make sure you don't let your personal feelings affect your judgement."

Genjuro narrowed his eyes, "Watch your words, Mor-"

The man cut him off, "No. You're not here as the commander of Section 2. You're here as the adult Kazanari Genjuro, or am I wrong?"

Genjuro blinked, and he frowned, "You're... not wrong."

Moroboshi nodded, "Which means you will approach her with kindness. I may disagree with talking to an enemy like that. But I'm not dumb enough to commit insubordination. I'm simply here to make sure the girl doesn't harm you."

Of course, both of them knew it would take a lot from Chris to actually harm Genjuro, but Moroboshi wasn't taking any chances, and Genjuro knew it.

Genjuro nodded, "Very well..."

He turned and went up the stairs, before approaching a room.

The man could pretty much sense the girl in there, and he was sure she was ready to strike whoever that tried to attack her.

So, he pushed the bag he had with him into the room first, before walking in, "Don't worry, we're not here to harm you."

Chris blinked as the man sat down, and she glared at him, "Who the hell are you?"

Genjuro looked at her, "I'm Kazanari Genjuro, otherwise known as the commander of the new SSSP, also known as Section 2 and the Disaster Squad. But I'm sure you know it better as the organisation supporting the Symphogears and the Ultraman suits."

Chris narrowed her eyes, "What do you want?"

Genjuro closed his eyes, "Me? I simply want to talk. Him? He's here to make sure I don't do anything stupid."

Chris snapped her head back, and sure enough, Moroboshi stood at the door, folding his arms, but silent.

The redhead placed the bag on the ground and pushed it forward, "Here, a peace offering."

Chris was about to refuse, but her stomach growled when she noticed the food in the bag. Yet, she made no move to take them, and her glare seemingly intensified.

Genjuro, of course, knew what it meant, and he sighed, "It's not poisoned."

He grabbed a bun from the bag and bit into it, before handing it to the girl, "Here, I'll test everyone for you."

Chris narrowed her eyes, but didn't refuse the food, and sat down. She bit into the bun hungrily and asked, "So, what did you want to talk about?"

Genjuro took out a carton of milk and drank a bit, before placing it in front of Chris, "A few years ago, two famous violinists traveled the world with their daughter. They went to many countries and helped refugees and victims of war. But, in that process, when they left their daughter at home on a trip to another country, they left the world. Sound familiar?"

Chris glared at him, "You bastards investigated me?"

Genjuro closed his eyes, "Yes and no. We had your background because there was a group formed to keep you safe. I, myself, was also responsible to take care of that girl. But evidently, I was too late."

The girl's glare seemed to intensify again, and if looks could kill, Genjuro didn't doubt that he'd be dead. Chris spat out, "What do you really want?"

Genjuro looked at her, only honesty in his voice and eyes, "As of now, there are only three people left from the team we gathered, and we're all in Section 2. We only want to help you. Nothing more, nothing less."

Chris gritted her teeth, "DON'T FUCK WITH ME!"

She caught herself, noticing Moroboshi tensing, and she contemplated if she should continue, before Chris dashed forward.

Moroboshi's eyes widened, and he started to summon his armor, until Chris ran past the commander and leapt out of the building.

"Killter Ichaival tron..."

Chris donned her armor and jumped away, leaving Moroboshi and Genjuro in the building.

Moroboshi instantly reached for his phone, but stopped when Genjuro held his arm, "Let her go."

The bespectacled man narrowed his eyes, "But!"

Genjuro cut him off, and looked up, "You're there, aren't you?"

Moroboshi blinked, until Bemular descended from above outside the windows, "You're quite sharp, Kazanari Genjuro."

Genjuro stared at him, "I'll take that as a compliment, I suppose."

Moroboshi narrowed his eyes and summoned his armor, brandishing his Spacium katana, "What are you doing here?"

Bemular raised a palm, "Peace, Ultra Seven. I'm not here to fight you."

Moroboshi simply held his stance, "We hear that all the time."

If Bemular was intimidated by the man, he didn't show it, "Relax. I was here to watch over the girl."

Genjuro raised an eyebrow, "Watch over her?"

Bemular nodded, "She is essential for my plans. I needed to make sure she wasn't harmed."

Moroboshi narrowed his eyes, "And what sort of plan do you have?"

The Ultraman lookalike stared at him, "Nothing you need to concern yourself about for now. But that aside."

He tossed Genjuro a thumb drive, "Data about Finé and some other stuff."

Genjuro caught it easily, and he frowned, "Why give this to us?"

Bemular stared at him, "Don't assume this to be help for you. Finé will eventually threaten my goals, I'm simply making sure that doesn't happen."

He turned, "Now, if you'll excuse me."

With that said, Bemular shot up to the sky, leaving Genjuro and Moroboshi before either could react.

The pair frowned at the thumb drive, before Genjuro spoke, "Come on, we should head back too."

XXX

Done. So that's it for this chapter.

As stated, I'm rewatching the Symphogear anime as a guide on how season 1 would go.

The parts that involve Ultraman will come in bit by bit gradually, and I'd say not to expect so much as a direct and straight mash of the canon stories, so do look forward to that.

Until then, review please.
