CJ's Rebellion
In Trollstopia, music could be heard from above. However, this time, it did not come from DJ Suki, but rather, someone very close to her. A small purple troll with cyan blue hair, dark purple/pink freckles, and bright blue eyes, who looked to be 12, was seen on top of a colorful wooferbug playing music. She was sporting a grayish crop top and whitish/tan pants similar to DJ's shorts and her signature dark blue headphones with golden stars. This fun, junior DJ was none other than Dj's niece, CJ Suki, who had a huge smile and shouted, "Let's keep the party going"! While CJ kept spinning her turntables, a couple of trolls who were listening started to dance, and among the group was Priscilla, her best friend. She was also 12 but was about 5 months younger than CJ was, had yellow skin, pink hair, and wore glasses just like Laguna, though for Priscilla, her glasses were red. She also wore a grayish pair of overalls and a butterfly clip in her hair. Next to Priscilla was CJ's other friend/small crush, Keith. While he was only 10, he liked to act as if he was 12 like his friends were. His appearance was simpler: green skin, blue hair he kept as it was, and only wore a blue pair of shorts that matched his dark blue eyes, which seemed to be looking in different directions. He was not as smart or attentive as the other trolls were, but Priscilla and CJ cared about him as much as everyone else. Together, the trio loved to hang out, play, and have fun, no matter what they did or where they were. Back at the party, while Priscilla and Keith danced to CJ's music, the DJ loving pop troll hopped down from her wooferbug and came towards them, saying, "Guys! I am so excited! In exactly 9 days, I'm turning 13"! Priscilla and Keith were extra excited for her as Priscilla said, "We're excited too! I can't believe you're going to be 13 soon! How does it feel to be entering the teens"? CJ thought about it before saying, "Exciting"!
Keith clapped his hands together while asking, "Why do they call these years our teen years anyway"? Priscilla turned around to face Keith as she answered, "Well, the number 13-19 all have the word "teen" at the end. Plus, once we reach that vicinity in our growth, we start to mature and become teenagers, thus, giving this timeframe the name "teen years." Makes sense"? Keith seemed confused as he answered, "Uh, I think so," as the small group broke into laughter. CJ then said, "Well, I better keep the music going. Be right back, guys," as she hopped back onto hr wooferbug and continued playing the music for this mini-party. Meanwhile, DJ Suki was at the party store, looking for party supplies for CJ's party, when she ran into Guy Diamond, accidentally bumping into him. DJ nervously stepped back and said while blushing, "Oh, Guy! I am so sorry! I-I didn't see you there"! Guy Diamond turned around and replied while blushing as well, "It's fine, DJ. No harm done. What brings you here anyway"? DJ smiled and responded with, "I'm just looking around, trying to see if I can find some party supplies for CJ's birthday. Might as well start preparing ahead of time so I don't forget last minute." She and Guy Diamond shared a laugh as the gray glitter troll commented, "Smart thinking. I still can't believe she's becoming 13. You must be really proud of CJ." DJ nodded and said, "I am. CJ's really grown since her kid years and has advanced so much in her DJ skills. I'm so excited to see her continue to grow and exceed beyond even my own skills. She's going to become a terrific DJ and really bring the life of the party."
Guy Diamond felt a lot of pride for DJ as he commented, "Well, she's learned from one of the best DJs here in Trollstopia and has had a terrific role-model to look up to." DJ's cheeks flushed a deep shade of pink as she said, "Aw! Thanks, Guy. Is Tiny Damond able to come to CJ's party next Friday"? Tiny peaked his head out from his father's white hair and said, "Yeah, DJ! When there's a party, Tiny's there"! As he went back inside, Guy Diamond said, "There's your answer," as both pop trolls broke into laughter again. Later on, around sunset, DJ was walking back to her pod, carrying bags full of party supplies, but seemed to be struggling. Melody caught eye of this and came over, asking, "Hey, DJ. Want a hand with that"? Melody took two bags from DJ's hands as the red pop troll replied happily, "Sure. I could always use an extra hand." As they both continued to walk to DJ's pod, Melody lifted one of the bags while saying, "Wow. You sure are carrying a lot of stuff in here. What's the occasion"? While DJ pushed the door as it swung open, she said, "CJ's birthday is in 9 days, so I thought, "Why not get party supplies early" so I had enough time to set up and replace anything if needed? You can never be too prepared, right"? Melody chuckled at DJ's comment as she said, "True that, and happy early birthday to your niece. How old is she turning"? DJ replied, "13," as they placed the bags onto the table. Melody instantly froze and said, "Wait, did you say 13? As in 13th birthday"? DJ nodded and stated with a smile, "Yep"! Melody shook her head before saying, "Oh, are you in for a wild ride."
Melody's comment confused DJ as she asked, "Huh? What do you mean by that"? Melody turned around to face DJ as she replied, "Wait, you don't know? Oh, sweet melodies. I feel sorry for you, DJ. It's gonna eat you alive once it happens." DJ became hesitant as she asked, "What's gonna eat me alive"? Melody realized her wording as she raised her hands and said, "Oh no, no, no, no! I meant it in a metaphorical sense. Nothing's gonna actually eat you. But what I mean is...things are going to change drastically after CJ's birthday, or even sooner by the looks of things. I wouldn't be surprised if it even happened tomorrow." DJ's nervousness did not seem to go away as she asked, "What's gonna change"? Before Melody could answer, both trolls heard Val shout, "Melly! We need to go"! Melody shouted back, "I'll be right there," before saying to DJ, "All I can say is that...be prepared to see a huge change in CJ," before leaving DJ's pod. DJ considered what Melody had said as she turned her head and saw a picture of her and CJ back when she was still a kid on a table in front of a lamp. DJ then scoffed, saying, "I probably shouldn't worry. I mean, CJ's so cheerful and happy. There's no way she could ever change in any way that could get me metaphorically eaten. Melody was probably say that to josh with me. Yeah, that's it." Suddenly, CJ appeared behind her, asking, "Uh, Aunt DJ, who are you talking to"? Dj instantly stepped back and shouted in fright before saying, "Oh, sorry about that, CJ. Just...talking to myself. Nothing to worry about. So, excited about your party next Friday"? Cj nodded and said, "Yeah! All of my best friends are going to come! We're gonna play games, dance, sing, and of course, have loads of fun"! DJ smiled and said, "That's what's up," as they both high five and mimicked paying a record while saying in unison, "Wiki-wiki-what"?!
CJ then let out a yawn, covering her mouth with her left hand as DJ commented, "Looks like you're pretty tired. Why don't you start getting ready for bed a bit early tonight? I'll be there to say goodnight once I finish putting these party supplied away." CJ nodded as she softly said, "Sure thing, Aunt DJ," before turning around to start walking to her room. DJ let out a sigh of relief, saying, "So far, everything seems ok. I sure hope Melody was only joking about that "changing" stuff." Little did DJ know was that she was about to be wrong big time. The next morning, DJ was still asleep in her bed as CJ was starting to awaken. The little purple pop troll sat up and stretched her arms to rid her body of any residing exhaustion. Now, normally, she'd jump out of bed, break into a little dance, and say something like, "Today's going to be an awesome day! Wiki-wiki-what"?! However, today, that did not happen. CJ stood up and got off her bed, quickly fixing the sheets before going to look in the mirror. CJ did a couple of poses before saying, "Not feeling it in this." She went into her closet to find something that seemed suitable to wear for her liking. After a lot of debating, CJ came out of the closet, wearing something completely different. She had on a lavender crop top with a dark, dark purple rim. It also had a red heart with a dark red outline and a black music note in the middle. Over her crop top was a black leather vest she kept open, so the heart was visible. She even had on matching black jeans to go with the vest. CJ looked at her new outfit in the mirror before saying, "Now this is more like it." She slipped on her signature necklace, wrist bands, and headphones before walking out of the bedroom and into the kitchen.
She knew that DJ tended to sleep in, and normally, she'd wait for DJ to wake up so they could make pancakes together. That was one of her favorite things to do, especially since DJ lets her lick the bowl clean after they finish. However, today, CJ felt a bit impatient and decided to make something herself. She got out a blender and then went to the fridge and picked out a flavor berry, cherry, strawberry, and peach. She then grabbed a carton of milk, some honey, and granola. She poured milk into the blender until it reached the one-third cup mark before placing a cup of granola in the blender, drizzling on some honey, and added the fruit she picked out. Upon closing the blender with the lid, CJ plugged it in and then turned it on, and the loud noise of the blender whirling was what made Suki wake up shouting as she fell out of bed, falling on her head. DJ groaned in pain as she asked, "What is making that noise"? She stood up and rubbed her eyes while walking into the living room and spotting the noise source. Seeing the blender being used, DJ was a little surprised as she said, "Huh. I don't remember having that blender out." When she heard the refrigerator door close, DJ turned her head to look as her eyes widened and her jaw dropped. CJ had just grabbed what looked like a piece of bread and placed it in a toaster before grabbing a cup from the cupboard. As CJ poured out her smoothie, DJ came up to her and asked dumbfoundedly, "CJ! What is all this? And what's with the new threads"? CJ looked up and said in an almost uninterested tone of voice, "Oh, hey. You were still asleep, so I thought I'd make my own breakfast today. And if you're talking about my new outfit, just trying something different out is all."
DJ was still a bit surprised as she said, "Well, I think you look pretty cool, CJ. But I thought you'd want to make pancakes with me like we always do." CJ finished pouring her smoothie into the cup and placed the blender in the sink while saying, "Eh. Not feeling it today," before grabbing a plate and catching her now perfectly cooked piece of toast on the plate. DJ was now confused as she watched CJ take her food and ate at the table, saying to herself, "Strange. CJ's acting a bit...different. It is pretty early in the morning. I shouldn't worry." As CJ sipped on her smoothie, DJ sat in the chair across from her, saying, "Anyways, CJ, I thought maybe today we could play glitterball with some of our friends. I know you always love to play that game." CJ acted disinterested as she said, "No thanks." Dj almost fell out of her seat when she heard CJ say that as she shouted, "What?! But you always love to play glitterball." CJ replied, "Just not interested," as she turned her body to face away from DJ, still sipping on her smoothie. DJ had no idea how to respond as she then said, "Then, how about we go to the library and pick out a book to read"? CJ rolled her eyes and said sarcastically, "Oh yeah, that sounds like fun." DJ did not seem to catch the hint of sarcasm as she said, "Ok, then! After breakfast, we can head to Pop Library and find a fun book we can read together." CJ scoffed and bit into her toast as DJ seemed to notice her reaction, asking, "What's wrong"? CJ gave DJ an annoyed look as she replied, "Gee, I don't know. Maybe it's the fact that I'd rather be doing something more FUN than sitting in a dusty old library and reading old scrapbooks."
DJ gasped in shock from CJ's new behavior as she nervously replied, "Well, we don't have to go there if you aren't interested. We can do something else. Maybe...uh..." CJ then decided that she had enough as she finished the last bite of her toast and got up, saying, "I'm heading out." As CJ left the table, DJ asked, "Where are you going"? CJ rolled her eyes and said with frustration, "Wherever I want! What's it to you," as she opened the door and slammed it shut behind her. The SLAM made DJ jump as she asked herself, "Trolly, what's gotten into her"? DJ cleaned up CJ's place at the table and then decided to go outside and get some fresh air, thinking that it might help clear her head. As she strolled through the village, DJ kept a close eye on how CJ was acting. Many trolls complimented her on her new outfit, but CJ seemed to brush their comments aside. That wasn't the only strange thing that happened. Around lunchtime, while DJ was eating a sandwich, she noticed CJ was leaning against a tree and using a small soundboard, trying to come up with new, original beats to play. She was then interrupted by Cloud Guy, who came up to her, saying, "Hey, CJ. Ooh, trying something new, are we"? CJ seemed to ignore him as he kept saying, "I know you can hear me, CJ. Down low"? CJ still did not acknowledge his presence as the cloud started to become persistent, saying, "Down low. I know you can see it, so try to accept it. Down low for me, CJ." Then, CJ used her right hand and rapidly grabbed Cloud Guy's arm with a painful grip, bringing him uncomfortably close as she said angrily, "Listen here, you annoying piece of condensation! If you EVER even ATTEMPT to annoy me with your dumb pranks and little actions, I will PERSONALLY make sure the next thing that goes down low is YOUR FACE"! Cloud Guy gulped in nervousness as he shakily replied, "S-sure thing, CJ."
Once CJ let go of his arm, Cloud Guy quickly ran away in fear, holding his arm in pain as CJ then went back to playing her soundboard. DJ was completely stunned. CJ has never acted like this before in her whole life. So, why now is she becoming this...different? DJ's panicked expression was noticed by Melody, who said, "So, you finally see it happening"? DJ was silent as she nodded, with Melody adding, "Welcome to the world of maturity, where every troll starts this journey by acting out and behaving like a rock troll." DJ turned her head to face Melody as she asked frantically, "Why is this happening?! And why to my niece"?! Melody was about to answer when she heard Evie shout, "Big sissy! I need you"! Melody bit her lip as she replied, "I need to go help Evie, but I'll be back as soon as I can," before running off. DJ then looked up and saw CJ walking over to Tiny Diamond and Prince D, who seemed to be doing a small performance. When Tiny saw CJ coming towards them, he said happily, "Hey, CJ! What's happening"? CJ shrugged and said, "Not much. What are you guys up to"? Prince D replied, "Tiny and I were laying down some rad beats. Care to join in"? CJ thought about it before saying with a smile, "Sure. Why not? It's not like I have anything better to do." Prince D and Tiny Diamond both grinned as Tiny then spotted Finn and shouted, "Yo! Electro Ray, my man"! Finn turned his head and looked at Tiny, saying, "Yeah, what's up"? Tiny then asked, "Mind backing up our singing with some sweet music"? Finn awkwardly shrugged and said, "Sure thing." He got out his DJ set and began to play some music as Tiny Diamond, Prince D, and CJ swayed their bodies to the music's beat, feeling the rhythm as they started to sing.

Tiny Diamond jumped up and said, "Oh, yeah! That was awesome"! CJ had a small smile as she said, "It was pretty fun. Who knew hip-hop could be such fun music to rap to"? Prince D chuckled as he said, "Well, it does provide a lot of catchy beats, and with the right lyrics, you can make magic happen. In a way, it's similar to funk and pop but has a lot more bounce and tends to possess electronic music, similar to Techno. So, it's like a mash-up of different genres tied up into one soul-filling, feet-tapping sub-genre." Finn spoke up, saying, "It's a pretty righteous kind of music, but not as good as trap music." CJ looked at Finn in confusion as she asked, "What's trap music," as Finn explained, "It's a type of Techno music more related to EDM, but it's also based a lot on hip-hop. See, mates, how should I explain it? It's basically a type of music where it ties in with EDM, short for electronic dance music. You know, the kind of songs you would dance or rave to? Anyways, trap music meshes well with it because many beats are in its music related to EDM and hip-hop. Trust me, mates. Listening to trap music will put you at ease in the crazy, gnarly world." CJ seemed to understand as she thanked them for the fun performance and started walking off in a different direction. Meanwhile, DJ, who watched this go on,e began to feel a sense of relief as she said, "Huh, maybe she was just a little cranky and needed music to calm down. She looks like her happy self again." Feeling a lot better, DJ decided to go on with her day, thinking that everything was returning to normal.
However, as night fell, DJ Suki returned to her pod and found that it was empty...really empty. She was the only troll inside the pod, meaning that CJ never came home. DJ quickly called out, "CJ? You in here," as she peaked her head into each room but could not find her niece. While she was worried, DJ took some deep breaths and said, "It's still a little daylight outside. She's probably hanging out with her friends. Yeah, she should be home soon. no reason to panic and freak out."
3 hours later...
"Now is the time to panic"! It was half-past 11 pm, and CJ was still not home. DJ flailed her arms and ran around her pod in a panicked frenzy. As she kept this up, CJ soon entered the pod while saying, "I'm home," and found her aunt running around like a headless chicken. CJ pinched her eyes and said, "Aunt DJ, what are you doing," as the red pop troll stopped and saw her niece standing in the doorway in one piece. She quickly hugged her niece tightly while saying, "Oh, CJ! Thank trolls that you're ok! I was so worried about you"! CJ struggled in her aunt's grasp, saying, "I can't breathe in here. DJ, let go"! After forcefully pushing her aunt away from her, surprising DJ as she asked, "CJ, what's wrong? and more importantly, where were you"? CJ scoffed and sarcastically remarked, "Why you ask? Keeping a log about me"? She then shouted out in frustration, "And for the record, nothing's wrong, and where I've been is NOYB DJ: None of your business, DJ"! CJ proceeded to walk past DJ, but before she could go to her room, something bubbled inside DJ as she got furious and shouted, "CJ! Here! Now"! CJ stopped momentarily, a little surprised to hear her aunt be angry with her for once, as she turned around and snarkily replied, "Why"? DJ, in her upset state, responded with, "Because we're not doing anything else until you tell me what's going on with you"!
While DJ began to explain all the things that have been abnormal about CJ's behavior today, Cj proceeded to pull out a small music player, connected it to her headphones, and played some music, completely ignoring what DJ was saying. After noticing this, DJ came up to Cj and shouted, "DJ, are you even listening to me"?! CJ rolled her eyes and said, "What? You were talking," before raising the volume and drowning out DJ's voice. DJ's anger rose as she suddenly unplugged CJ's music player and grabbed it, saying, "Right now, the only thing you should be listening to is me because this behavior is not nice, CJ! you know better than that"! CJ rolled her eyes and said, "Yeah, but I choose to ignore you," as she took back her music player and started to walk to her room. Then, DJ balled up her fists and shouted, "CJ! You go in there, and I'm canceling the party"! That made CJ stop dead cold right in front of the door to her room, making the purple pop troll turn around and said in what sounded like a hurt tone of voice, "You wouldn't dare, DJ"! DJ simply crossed her arms and said in her most serious/stern voice, "I can...and I will." CJ gritted her teeth and growled as she then shouted from the top of her lungs, "I HATE YOU, DJ! YOU'RE THE WORST AUNT IN THE WORLD," as she marched into her room and slammed the door shut really loudly. Hearing what her niece had said made DJ snap out of her angered state as she covered her mouth in horror, saying in a whisper, "What have I done"? CJ was furious inside her bedroom as she grabbed a picture frame on her nightstand and threw it towards the wall, making it smash and break. However, despite being angry, CJ walked towards the broken picture frame and carefully picked up the photo, which was luckily not torn by the broken pieces. CJ looked at the photo, remembering it very fondly. It was the day that she got her wooferbug from DJ, a memory she kept close.
CJ hugged the picture close to her as she let a couple of small tears fall. For DJ, she laid face-first on her bed inside her bedroom and broke down into a hard sob. DJ felt horrible for snapping at CJ, her favorite niece, the way that she did. She didn't mean to, but she was just so angry, upset, and confused about this new behavior, she had no other proper way to respond at the moment, and her adrenaline kicked in. While CJ spent her night sitting n the bed, hugging the photo, DJ did not get any sleep, even if she wanted to. The next morning, DJ was so tired that she didn't even have the energy to go and apologize to CJ, who was sleeping in. So, she decided that maybe some food would help and went down to the market. However, instead of buying something to eat, she ended up at the tables where trolls were dining with one another. DJ trudged to a nearby table and sat down. She placed her head down and said through a muffled voice, "What am I gonna do"? At that moment, Aggie noticed that DJ looked really distressed and decided to help her. She slowly approached the red pop troll and sat in a chair next to her, saying, "Hey, Dj. you ok"? DJ lifted her head, and Aggie could tell from the bags under her eyes that something was up as she asked, "What's going gon with you? You look...stressed." DJ frantically grabbed Aggie by her shoulders and shook her while saying, "Aggie, you've gotta help me! I'm at my wits ends"! While being shaken, Aggie shouted, "Woah, woah! Slow down there, girl! I'll help! Just stop shaking me"!
Once DJ released Aggie, the Magical Musical Troll's pupils moved back and forth, and she had to swallow some barf that she felt coming up. Once fully recovered, she said, "I can help you, just tell me the problem. As Master of All Music, I help any troll who has a problem. So, tell me, DJ. What's wrong"? DJ took some deep breaths before explaining, "It's CJ! She's been acting so weird! It's like: the other day, she woke up and was her happy, cheerful self. Then, yesterday, she acted completely different! She didn't smile a lot, she ignored me, she started dressing differently, and she even... talked back to me." DJ shuddered as she continued with, "And that's not even the worst part! Yesterday, CJ came home late and wouldn't tell me where she was and...I snapped at her. I didn't mean to, but I was felt so upset with this behavior, especially with how she was acting towards me, that I just broke and let it all out! And now, CJ hates me, and I don't know what to do. I don't even know why she's acting like this all of a sudden." Aggie listened to DJ before saying, "Ah! Noe, this is something I am familiar with. I think I know why CJ's started acting out. Just a small question...how old is CJ"? DJ thought about it for a minute before saying, "12, but she's turning 13 in a week. Why"? Aggie smiled and said, "Oooh, now that explains everything! CJ is entering her teen years. She's gonna become a teenager"!
DJ was confused as she asked, "A teen? But what does becoming a teenager have to do with the new wardrobe and behavior"? Aggie chuckled as she mentioned, "Oh, Dj, you've been a teenager before. I've been one. When kids start entering that phase in their lives, they tend to act rebellious and desire more independence. They have that urge to do whatever they want and show little to no interest in things that bring them joy and excitement. Well, most things, anyway. So sometimes, you won't see them smiling as much as before." DJ tried to remember as she then realized something, commenting, "Oh yeah, so this is the change Melody was telling me about. The "big change" is just CJ becoming a teen and starting to act differently." Aggie nodded, adding, "There you go. Cj's just growing up and is getting used to this new feeling." DJ understood as she said, "Oh...I see what you mean. You know truth be told, I remember acting like a wild child when I reached my teen years. My parents nicknamed me DJ Bazooka because I was so rowdy and rambunctious"! Aggie and DJ broke into laughter before DJ became serious again, asking, "But how can I tell CJ that I understand her and what she's going through? She won't even listen to me without giving me an eye roll or a hint of sarcasm." Aggie placed a comforting hand on DJ's shoulder while saying, "Ha! I've been there. You see, DJ. If there's one thing I learned with myself and my younger relatives, it's that, with teenagers, sometimes, just willing to listen and give them attention are the best things you can do for them. Let them explain what they have felt when they reach that stage, and after you listen, give them a little reflection, like how you were when you're CJ's age. I know she'll listen to you when you give her a chance to talk, and you listen, because... I know you're the only Troll who she looks up to. But if that doesn't work, well, you can call me, and I'll use my magic to get her out of her zone."
DJ and Aggie broke into laughter again as DJ considered Aggie's advice, saying, "You know, that might just work." She got up excitedly and said, "Thanks, Aggie! I gotta go find CJ! I'll tell you how it goes later," as she ran back to her pod, leaving Aggie smiling and thinking to herself the Master of All Music strikes again! Once DJ Suki got back to her pod, she walked in on a surprising sight. While it was quiet, there was a plate of pancakes waiting for Suki as she looked at the plate, which had a note on the bottom. DJ picked it up and opened the note, which said, "I'm sorry." DJ was a little surprised as she started to walk towards the door to CJ's bedroom. Inside, she could hear CJ playing with her soundboard again as she softly knocked on the door, saying, "CJ? You in there"? Inside, CJ perked her head up when she heard the knocking and halted the music for a minute. On the other side, DJ took a deep breath and said, "Look, I'm sorry for getting mad at you like that. Instead of just getting short and losing my temper, I should've just calmed down and listened to you." CJ heard her aunt's words on the other side of the door as DJ then said, "Look, I get it. You're getting older, and you're experiencing new feelings that are confusing and hard to manage. And if it's ok, I can help you. It's not just a new experience for you, but me too. I'm going to experience having a teenager for a niece. From now on, I won't yell or do anything like that, and you don't even need to come out. But...if you're ready to talk, CJ, I'm here...and ready to listen." DJ slowly sat down with her back against the door, and CJ mimiced the same thing in her bedroom as she replied, "Really"? DJ nodded and said, "Yes. Tell me what's going on or what you're feeling inside."
CJ sighed and replied, "I can't, DJ. Not because I don't want to, but because I don't know what's going on. It's so complex and hard to understand that sometimes, I get blinded by my own frustrations and lash out. One minute, I feel like my regular self, then the next, I seem disinterested and want to do something wild or crazy. The following minute, I feel angry and just want to smash anything I see related to my anger. It's just...it's hard, ok"? DJ listened as she replied, "Welcome to being a teenager, CJ," as her niece solemnly commented, "It sure doesn't feel so welcoming. Not like you'd understand, DJ." DJ then responded with, "I do, CJ. You know, I was a teenager once too. Back when Djing was the next big thing. I riled up my parents pretty hard." CJ snickered from DJ's story as she then asked, "Does it get better, DJ"? Though she could not see it, DJ nodded and added, "Yes, it does. And I think...if we are patient enough and willing to listen to one another, we can get through this together. Alright with you"? CJ smiled and replied, "It's alright with me."

CJ then got up and opened her bedroom door, which allowed DJ to accidentally fall in as she said, "Well, at least we are no longer separated." CJ offered a hand and helped her aunt stand up as they both hugged one another tightly. CJ then stepped back, saying, "Aunt DJ, I'm sorry for what I said. I never really hated you, but I was just so angry, I didn't think about if my words would've hurt you." CJ felt her Aunt place a hand on her shoulder as DJ said, "It's ok. You're still new to this "becoming a teen" thing, so, outbursts like that will occur, but we can work through them together." CJ smiled as she and her aunt high-fived and mimicked scratching records while saying in unison, "Wiki-wiki-what"?! Then, DJ remembered something as she said, "Oh, yeah! CJ, this whole...experience...actually made me think something. Since you're now getting older and developing different tastes for different things, I was wondering if you still approve of the party supplies I got." DJ brought out one of the bags full of supplies as CJ looked at them before saying, "If I am being honest, I think they look great. But...maybe we can liven them up a bit with some art supplies." DJ seemed to catch the right idea as she said, "Sure thing, CJ." Before long, the week flew, and it was the day of CJ's 13th birthday. With help from her aunt, they decorated the decorations and party supplies, making them look sleek and chic, like something out of a magazine. Everything was in a dark blue and black color scheme and had decorations of music notes and records. Even the plates, cups, balloons, and party favors followed that same theme.
Every troll who was invited was having a blast, dancing to the music CJ recorded for her party, which she had DJ play on her DJ set. Aggie danced to the music as she moonwalked to DJ and said, "Great party, DJ. You and CJ outdid yourselves." DJ smiled as she said, "Thanks, but this was all CJ's idea." Melody came over, adding, "Wow! These decorations are so cool! It's like something out of a space movie! And I'm loving this punch! It even glows like a crystal"! DJ chuckled as she responded, "Well, CJ found a recipe to make a glowing fruit punch, and we decided to give it a shot. It took a couple of tries, but we finally got it right." Meanwhile, CJ was dancing with her friends as Priscilla said, "Great party, birthday troll," while Keith added, "How does it feel to be a teenager now"? CJ stopped dancing for a minute and replied, "Honestly, it's tough and a bit complex, but I'm learning to get used to it. Besides, there's one good thing so far about this "coming into" phase." When Priscilla and Keith asked, "What is it," CJ said while holding the ends of her leather vest, "I get to wear a whole new outfit. I think leather suits me pretty well. What do you guys think"? Priscilla and Keith looked at CJ's outfit before saying in unison, "You look out of sight"! CJ then walked over to DJ and said, "Aunt DJ, thank you so much for your help! This party is wiki-wiki off the chain"! DJ nodded and replied, "Only the best for my special birthday teenage niece! Now, what do you say we turn it up"? CJ smiled excitedly as she joined DJ by the DJ set and started to play a new song that got everyone dancing. As the music played, CJ and DJ looked at one another, and both mentally agreed: that this was the start of a new chapter in their lives, one that would certainly be anything but low-key. CJ was now a teenager and was going to live it up, and DJ was there to guide her through life every step of the way.
