They literally never talked to each other in Fortunate Son, like never not a word. This is not going to be easy.

Fortunate Son

The away team came back from the released cargo hold and Trip has never been happier to see his wife in his life. All he wanted to do was pick her up in his arms and swing her around, but he knows that it can wait until later right now he has to stay professional.

" Do you have any warp trails we can follow?" Archer questioned wanting to get to work right away.

" Yes sir we have a faint trail that we started following as soon as you guys came aboard."

" Good job Trip, let's get to work everybody.

T'Pol is helping Trip repair the sensors and needs to ask him some questions. "Trip, why is the Fortunate running to fight the Nausicaans when they will most likely fail? Trip didn't look at her while he considered his answer.

" I think they want to prove to them that they are strong and aren't going to put up with being bullied around anymore."

" Even if they could get killed, or harm others in the process?" He smirked and looked at her.

" I guess humans can be illogical like that sometimes but, I don't blame them for trying. I think I would have done the same thing." She looks at him with a raised eyebrow and decides to test her luck.

" Well maybe StarFleet should rethink you being a commander." This made him laugh and that made her satisfied that her attempt at a joke worked.

" Well sweetheart maybe you and the Captain should just stay in command for the remainder of the mission and then you don't have to worry about me making dumb decisions."

" You mean anymore dumb decisions, as I recall you put the entire ship inbetween many Vulcan and Andorian ships that were about to go to war."

" Hey that is an unfair example. I saved 2 species from going into an even bigger war and gave you guys time to negotiate, I think I did great." He said defensively.

" Never said that you didn't ' Do great' but that there should have been a more logical way to do so." She said matter of factly.

" I'm sure there would be darlin but, as you I'm not the most logical of men." He said with a chuckle.

" No you are not but, you have other positives that make you attractive." She said and then got ready to leave.

" Really like what?" He asked but got no answer as she started to leave the room. " Oh come on T'Pol just tell me. Please." He said and then started to chase after her.
