"That was excellent Parker. Really," said Fury upon Peter's return to the shield tower. "I don't know sir. I felt kind of ridiculous." Fury nodded; he walked up and set a hand on Peter's shoulder. "It wasn't about what you needed son. It was about the people. You have a natural humanity that can't be denied. That's spider man's appeal. He's real. Did you know you're consistently rated the most popular superhero?" "I'd heard. I just thought it was crap." "No son. It's not. And now that you're with shield... the sky's the limit." Fury then walked away from him.

"I wish you'd told me about my family stuff sooner." Peter barely hid the anger in his tone. Fury nodded slowly. "I'm sorry about that too Peter." "Is it true my... sister... asked that you keep this from me until now?" "It is. Hill and I were against it; but it was family. And then she went under." "I have to find her." "I know. I've already tasked the helicarrier USS Kirby to that very job. You'll be assigned to it." "Thank you." "Parker. Peter?" "Yeah." "I am sorry. I hope you find her." "Thank you." "Peter?" "Yeah?" "There's someone here that needs to see you before you go."

Peter frowned at that. In stepped J Jonah Jameson; his former daily bugle boss during high school/college years. "I think you have something to say to this young man," said Fury. There was an iciness in Fury's tone that said he wasn't messing around. Jameson actually looked afraid; and that didn't happen often. Jameson nodded slowly licked his lips and then fixed his gaze on Peter. "Parker. Peter. I... apologize for being an asshole to you all these years." Despite everything Peter's brows shot up. "You've saved my life; more than once. And I owe you that much at least." Peter just blinked his eyes. There was more but Jameson struggled to say it. Fury's look hardened. Jameson sensed it. "Never again will the daily bugle print anything bad or misleading about spider man. You have my word."

"Uh; thanks." Fury: "I think you have a job to do agent Parker." Peter smiled a little. "Yes sir."

"I'll be with you for this mission," said widow to Peter as they took a transport up to the Stark repulsor equipped Kirby. "Thanks." "I volunteered." Peter looked at her. "I appreciate that." Widow nodded. She put a hand on his shoulder. "We'll find her. You have to believe that." "I do. I will."

The transport landed on the Kirby flight deck and they got off. "Where do we start?" "Agent Barton is in Tokyo. That's where we're going right now." "Oh." He hadn't expected to leave New York but that's how it was gonna be. "Fish out of water right?" He laughed. "You could say that. I can't even drive." "That's all right. You're not alone anymore; Peter."

They got him situated.

Peter loved everything Stark tech. Stark was still a longtime mentor. So his wandering around the massive sky ship was a great time passer. It didn't really take them long to arrive in Tokyo where Agent Barton, aka Hawkeye, had been working with shield Japan and other local regional authorities to pick up where Teresa's trail had gone cold.

Peter dressed as a civilian, and kept his spider suit underneath, much as he had when still having a double identity. If Spidey was needed he could change fast.

The Kirby entered Tokyo airspace at the permission of the Japanese government and it was only now that Peter realized that his being a shield agent would make him a globetrotter. He would likely leave his beloved nyc much more often as a result. That would definitely take some getting used to.

Widow and him boarded a transport while the Kirby hung above the massive nighttime city and they flew off for the meeting point. Widow: "we have an iron spider suit aboard the Kirby too if you need it." "Excellent. I love that thing. Nano tech?" "Yep. State of the art according to Stark." "Hell yeah."

They arrived at the lz; a skyscraper top. There Hawkeye was waiting for them. "Parker. Welcome to the band." "Thanks." Peter shook hands firmly with the top archer. "We're gonna do everything to find your sister and bring her home." Peter nodded. The shield agents they'd come with along with a Japanese security group joined them. They were escorted into the interior to get things done.

Another red skull was definitely a bad thing to be sure; and destroying hydra groups was why shield had been created in the first place. That would prove no less true now. Peter knew they had their work cut out for them. It was time to get things done. It was time to bring the other agent Parker home alive and well.

You're alive. I know it. I will bring you home! Nobody dies this time!
