The week after fall break arrived and the halls of Reefside High were full of students telling their friends what they had done of their fall break. Somewhere showing off tee shirts that they got on the trip. Every ear was filled with multiple conversations going on all at once. Students were heading to their lockers to get their books and materials that they needed for first period. Kira opened her locker and noticed Trent was walking towards her. Even though she hadn't known him very long, she thought he was cute and good looking. And to be truthful she had a crush on him. But, what would she say to him?
"Hello, Kira," Trent greeted when he walked over to the locker next to Kira's and opened it. "I didn't know that you'd be me locker neighbor."
"Neither did I," Kira blushed. "So, who do you-"
"-Kira, Devon and I have a few questions for you," Cassidy interrupted as Devon pointed the camera in Kira's face. "Can you tell me anything about why Dr. Oliver and Mrs. Oliver weren't at school the other day."
"Cassidy, I have no idea," Kira asked as she rolled her eyes.
"Okay, then. I've noticed that you've been hanging out with Conner and Ethan," Cassidy stated when Devon zoomed in on Kira. "What caused you to be friends?"
"We've just had more classes together," Kira huffed as she collected her books. "Now, please let me get my stuff. I can't afford to be late for first period."
"Are you sure it didn't have anything to do with the creepy looking monster that abducted you on the first day of school?" Cassidy hinted. "You can't tell me-"
"-I have no idea what you are talking about!" Kira retorted slamming her locker shut. "Please leave me alone."
"I know you are lying-"
"-Cassidy, she told you she didn't know anything about those monsters!" Trent defended in angry voice. "Now stop prying her for information!"
Cassidy and Devin walked away, then Trent turned to face Kira. "How, do you like Reefside?" she asked.
"I like it so far," Trent answered. "I don't know very many people though."
"I'm going to the cyberspace with Conner and Ethan after school," Kira stated as she started to blush. "Would you like to come there are after school and hang out with me and my friends? Mr. Cranston, Dr. O, and Mrs. O will be there too. They are coming to hear me sing."
"I work there after school," Trent smiled as his cheeks turned red. "It would be nice to get to know other people."
"Okay, I'll see you then," Kira purred as Trent headed on to his first period class.
Tommy and Kimberly walked into the cyber space and took a seat. Hayley walked over to them smiling and she was carrying a menu in her hand.
"What can I get for you today?" Hayley asked handing them a menu. "Wasn't Billy supposed to be here too?"
"He had a meeting during 7th period with all of the department heads." Kimberly informed. "He is supposed to be here at 3:15. Billy asked me to order him a blue berry milkshake. As for me, I will take a strawberry banana smoothie,"
"And I'll have a chocolate milk shake," Tommy answered.
"Okay, I'll go make them right now," Hayley said with a smile.
"Did you see Kira and Trent?" Kimberly whispered placing her hand on top of his as Kira got up on stage and started to sing. "She met Trent in the hall this morning and it was a lot like our first meeting at school."
"I'll never forget that day," Tommy purred as he moved closer to her. "I just hope the results are different-"
"-what do you mean?" Kimberly interrupted as Billy walked in.
"That Trent shows up and doesn't become an evil power ranger like I was," Tommy sighed glancing down at his wedding ring. "I know Kira really likes him. And I'd hate to see her go through all the hurt that I caused you."
"How many times will it take for this to sink into your brain?" Kimberly asked kissing him on the cheek. "You weren't at fault you were under an evil spell. I still love you just as much."
"At least Trent showed up," Conner said as he took a seat and laid his strawberry milk shake on the table.
"But, he's acting funny?" Ethan pointed out as Trent started to shake. "Dr. O, I know he likes Kira. But, is he afraid to ask Kira out?"
"Dr. O," Conner said as Tommy and Kimberly stared at a blonde-haired man dressed in a black suit came walking in. "Dr. O, are you okay?"
"We'll be right back," Kimberly stated as she followed Tommy over to the man.
"Anton Mercer," Tommy said as he stood there with no idea what you say. "I can't believe this-"
"-dad, I liked you meet my science teacher, Dr. Oliver. The woman dressed wearing the pink quarter length button down shirt is, Mrs. Oliver. She is my health and PE teacher," Trent introduced as his two teachers just stood as if they knew Anton and were surprised to see him. "The man with the blonde hair who is dressed in blue is Mr. Cranston-"
"-I don't need you to introduce me to Dr. Oliver and his wife," Anton snapped in an angry tone. "Please let me catch up with my old colleagues."
"Trent we need you in the kitchen," Hayley called out from behind the counter.
"Anton, I thought you were dead," Tommy sputtered as Kimberly placed her hand on his shoulder. "The island exploded."
"All three of us were both lucky," Anton remarked adjusting his tie.
"-the three of us?" Kimberly gasped. "Do you know anything about Smitty?"
"I'm sorry, Kimberly. I don't know," Anton answered.
"Why didn't you let us know you were okay?" Tommy asked as Anton stepped back. "You could have just called."
"Like you and your wife, you two know very well what it's like to start over," Anton informed as he wiped a drop of sweat from his face.
"Yes, we do," Kimberly whispered as she moved closer to Anton. "All of this experiments that we worked on... some strange and unusual things are happening. We really need to get to the bottom of this."
"Mrs. Oliver, I hate to cut it short. But, I'm feeling ill," Anton broke in more drops of sweat started to pour down his face. "I need to be getting home."
"Trent why didn't you ever tell me your dad was Anton Mercer?" Tommy asked when he took a seat the table.
"I didn't know that you knew my father," Trent answered. "Actually, he's my adopted father. He adopted me when I was a small child. My parents went on a dig inside a cave and they never made it out."
"Trent that's a really going drawing," Kira pointed out when she saw his drawing of a beach landscape. "I bet your father would love to see that."
"No, he wouldn't," Trent sighed putting his sketch pad away. "He doesn't encourage me to do art work. He says it's just a waste of time."
A few days had passed since Anton had seen Tommy and Kimberly. He never thought that they'd end up as teachers or be living in Reefside. In ways he wished that he had told them that he was okay. But, he couldn't. He couldn't risk them seeing him turn into Mesogog. Ever since the day island exploded, Anton was transforming into that ugly creature. As Mesogog, he has a mind of his. It was like his mind as Anton was under control and he was forced to be Mesogog's slave. The only good thing was that no one knew he was Mesogog. Well, other than Principal Randall who was also Elsa. And of course, Zeltrax knew who he was because he was actually Terrance Smith. When he thought about Zeltrax, that was the only good thing he did as Mesogog. He was able to save Smitty, but he had to become a cyborg. Zeltrax had become one of his most loyal servants.
Meanwhile, Trent was walking down an ally way on his way home from work. Suddenly a sliver like monkey cyborg grabbed him by the neck and held him up. Then the cyborg hovered off the ground and flew six feet off the ground.
"Okay, boy!" shouted the monkey cyborg. "I have been spying on Tommy Oliver and Kimberly Hart. I saw you were talking to them! How do you know them?"
"Tommy Oliver is my science teacher! But, I don't know a Kimberly Hart!" Trent cried as he struggled to breath. "The only Kimberly that I know is married to Dr. Oliver, and she's my health teacher! I don't know any more than that!"
"Okay, I believe you!" he hissed as he let go of Trent's neck. "I'll be watching you. You better not be lying to me! If I find out you are that you are lying to me or you tell anyone about the incident, you will be sorry."
"Trent, you are late!" Anton snapped as he walked through the door. "Where have you been?"
"I had to work over time," Trent lied. "Dad, how to you known Dr. and Mrs. Oliver?"
"Trent that is in the past," Anton remarked as he grabbed Trent's drawing pads. "I'd rather not relive my days of when I knew the Oliver's'."
"Dad, they aren't bad people!" Trent defended as he raised a brow. "They are two of my favorite teachers."
"Trent be careful around them!" Anton warned and he started to look through Trent's drawing pad. "If danger ever occurs, don't rely on Tommy. He only cares about his pretty wife and he could care less about anyone-"
"-Dad, that's not true!" Trent interrupted when he watched his look up with an angry look on his face.
Anton couldn't believe that Trent had a drawing on Mesogog is in art pad. Was it possible that Trent knew his secret? He threw all of Trent's drawing pad's away.
"Dad why did you throw my drawing pads away?" Trent gasped as he watched his father go through empty art pads and he just laid them on his desk.
"Trent I told you that you need to find something else in life that you can make for your career!" Anton yelled as his face turned red.
"But, Dad, I am not going to waste my college career," Trent promised as Anton threw his blank art pads against the wall. "I want to be an art teacher!"
"You are wasting your time!" Anton yelled as he accidently knocked over a glass vase. "You need a career you can succeed with, like becoming a business man like me!"
