The flying Sunflower dinosaur charged us with surprising speed. We both tried to dodge out of the way, but we still ended up getting hit. The blows sent us stumbling backwards as the sunflower flew overhead.

"Murder look out! That's Sunflowmon, it's much stronger than Budmon!"

"What do we do?"

"We'll have to win this fight. Use your moves!"

"What moves do I have?"

"You don't know your moves?"

"I'm a human remember!"

"Oh yeah. Just try clawing it!"

I was a little hesitant. So far Armadillomon had been doing all the fighting for me. I guess I had these claws? That would have to do some damage right? Also didn't Armadillomon say I had to call out my attacks? But then again, this Sunflowmon thing didn't call out it's attack, and now that I thought back some of the spiky green puffballs weren't doing it either. Had Armadillomon been screwing with me?

This tangent however was quickly put to an end as I felt a foot to my backside sending me flying once more. This time giving me a few scrapes. Fortunately it seemed like my body could not bleed so a few nicks was all that I had to show for it.

"Murder what are you doing pay attention!"

Damn he's right. I'm in a fight, gotta stay focused.

I spun around ready to face the flying dinosaur, only to find a green knee to my face, sending me flying back once more. This time however I was able to get up much quicker. The dinosaur was already flying over to me. Apparently it liked knocking me around like a pinball. I ran towards it, claws outstretched. However just as I was about to take a swipe at its leg, I felt something slap me to the ground. I looked up to see the Sunflowmon pull back its fairly long arm, and give the smuggest smile I had ever seen.

It's toying with us.

Rage filled me. I don't know why I cared, but the thought of being killed a flower, although one that was apparently also a dinosaur, caused me to feel fury. If I was going to go down I was going to go down in a blaze of glory. If I was going to die I was going to die by the hands of something cool, like that armored dinosaur with a massive revolver I saw a while back. The last thing I needed people to remember me by was being killed by a fucking flower. Undertale be dammed.

Determination, anger, and mostly adrenaline flowed through me. I shot forward with surprising speed, and slashed the Sunflowmons legs with a vengeance. The Sunflowmon gave a grunt of pain, and tried to slap me again with its arms, but I was ready this time. The beast may have been big, but it lacked grace. I danced around its punches, clawing back while I could.

Suddenly I heard a loud "DIAMOND SLAMMING ATTACK", and watched in amazement as the Sunflowmon was hit with such force behind it that it went sailing over my head and crashing into the wall on the far side. The Armadillomon landed in front of me. Apparently being the thing that hit the Sunflowmon with such force.

Holy Hell. Armadillomon is strong. Sunflowmon was like 30 times bigger than them. They must really pack a punch.

However before I could say anything, Armadillomon's eyes went wide, and then tackled me to the ground.

"What the hell Armadill-"

I didn't get to finish my sentence as I saw huge quantity of seeds rained down around us... and then exploded. Dirt was sent flying everywhere and I could feel the shockwaves.

"What the Hell!?"

"Sunflowmon has some ranged attacks as well, we need to close the distance!"

We got up to got after the sunflower but stopped. It was just... floating up. Like I didn't quite get it. It's wings weren't moving or anything, it was just sort of rising on its own. You know that one scene from the Lorax when it lifts itself by the seat of its pants? Yeah, it was like that, minus the holding itself by the seat of its pants. We watched as it rose and rose. Then it stopped, stretched out its arms like a bad Criss Angel impression, and then it's face started to glow.

"OK... what's it doing now?"

"It's charging up it's beam attack! If that hits us we're goners!"

"How do we stop it?"

"We need to defeat it!"

"But how I can't reach it, it's to high up."

"I don't have a ranged attack... but you do! You can fire laser beams."

"What."

"Yeah you're a Dracomon, you should be able to fire laser beams from your mouth!"

"What."

"Hurry up Murder, Sunflowmon is nearly done!"

"... What."

I heard them sigh. "Guess we gotta do this the hard way," and then pounced on me.

"Hey get off! What the hell!?"

"It's somewhere around here." Armadillomon ignored me and started pressing my scales.

"Get off me, I'm not a toy!"

"Yes you are. And there it is." Armadillomon pressed a scale on my belly. "Boop"

The next thing I remember is finding myself standing up, feeling exhausted.

There were burn holes all around me. Some of the trees were smoking, charred by something.

I saw Armadillomon cowering next to me, paws over head, hunkered down.

Most impressively however was Sunflowmon, slumped in front of me. Burn marks littered its body.

"Armadillomon?"

"Oh you done. Thank Yggdrasil, I thought you would never stop."

"What happened Armadillomon?"

"You happened."

"What."

"You did this." Armadillomon responded pointing to the Sunflowmon.

"I did this."

"Yeah."

...

"I don't believe you."

"Actually Mister, you did this, thanks for saving me!" A new voice said behind the Sunflowmon.
