The Lake

Today would be the day Marty and Jennifer go to the lake since they had to cancel their original plans to go on the weekend of October 26-27, 1985 due to Doc interfering it with the whole crazy weekend of time travel.

"We finally made it to the lake after nearly seven months of planning" Jennifer said. "I know right. This is going to be the best night of our lives" Marty said. "At least my dad doesn't know that I'm with you. He thinks I'm going to a slumber party with the girls" Jennifer said. "Really?" Marty asks. "Yeah. My father would freak out if he knew I was going up here with you and I get this standard lecture of how he never did any of that stuff when I was a kid I mean I think the man was born a priest" Jennifer said. "He's just trying to keep you respectable" Marty says. "He's not doing a very good job" Marty said. "Terrible" Jennifer said.

Later on, they sat near a campfire, roasted & ate smores, and reminisced on the good times he had with Doc. "These smores are delicious" Jennifer says. "Who doesn't like smores?" Marty asks. Marty then goes to his truck to get his guitar and starts to sing The Power of Love by Huey Lewis and The News and Jump by Van Halen. "Wow Marty! You're amazing!" Jennifer exclaims. "I know I'm going to make it big one day" Marty says. "I'm also proud of you for deciding to join the navy even though I would've preferred for you to go to college with me" Jennifer says. "I know but as I said I'll likely go to college after the navy to study music" Marty says. "But you can't let this senioritis, depression over Doc, and your lacking grades get to you" Jennifer said. "My grades have been improving since the beginning of the year but I'm still missing Doc and wondering where he is. At least the Libyans were killed in the photobooth crash and that the FBI or the police never found out about the plutonium Doc stole from them" Marty says. "Yeah and at least you, Doc, and Einstein were able to exit the mall parking lot safely before the police showed up" Jennifer says. "That was definitely a relief" Marty says.

Marty and Jennifer go to the back of his truck to lay down and look at the sky. "These stars are amazingly beautiful" Jennifer says. "Yeah they're shining alright but the only thing missing is a full or quarter moon" Marty says. "Another thing is the ability to see the constellations" Jennifer says. "I wish we could see our ancestors and past relatives up there, if I knew they were up there and not under" Marty says. "I was thinking the same thing" Jennifer says. "I'm getting tired" Marty says while yawning. "Me too" Jennifer says. They kiss and fall asleep for the rest of the date night.
