Heather was getting ready to go to the castle. Luz said she could head over to her manor to make it easier for her, but Heather was very stubborn. So was Kat. She refused to stay at home while her wives went to the Emperor's castle. Bo pinched the bridge of her nose, she had two, very hormonal, pregnant wives. Safe to say, she had her hands full.
"Girls, can we just act like adults and head out?" Bo suggested.
Heather and Kat looked at her and agree. They head to the carriage and Bo let's out a sigh.
"If it's this difficult now, what's going to happen after they give birth?" She asked.
She got in the carriage and Illusionist and Healer leaned their heads on her shoulders. It's hard to be annoyed when they're so damn cute.
"You two are really something." Bo said, placing her hands on their stomachs.
At the Miller residence, Tracey grabbed her staff and went outside. She was stopped when Maven came out and took the staff from her. They've been married long enough that she knew all of his non-verbal communication signs. The stare that he sent her said, 'I'm coming with you'. He wasn't controlling, he was just very nervous for her. She was the first person he ever felt comfortable around. They felt a connection with each other, they both had to deal with a horrible parent, both had traumatic incidents happen, and they both had scars that reminded them of who they are.
"Fine, you can come with me." Tracey said.
They got on Tracey's staff and flew to the castle. At the Bellflower Manor, Emily and Amelia were getting ready to leave.
"Okay, so let's make sure everything is set." Amelia said, "The twins are at school?"
"Check." Emily said.
"We have our staffs?"
"Check."
"The bed is made for when we get home?"
Emily pressed her lips against her wife's lips and smiled.
"Triple checked." Emily said, "You know I'm looking forward to that."
"Hopefully I don't end up pregnant again."
"Don't worry, we won't use the spell this time, and if we do, I'll be the one to carry the baby."
"You're the sweetest, but we're never using that spell again. With our luck, we'll get another set of twins." Amelia said.
"Well, you ready?"
"Check."
Luz waited in the Throne room, her mind going faster than she could process.
"What am I going to do?"
"My Liege, your guests have arrived." Kikimora said.
"Send them in Kiki."
"Well, this is it." Luz said.
Tracey, Heather, Emily and their significant others entered the room and kneeled in front of Luz.
"Emperor Noceda." They said.
"Rise. I've told you, you don't need to do that in private." Luz said, "I've called you here because of recent events that have been brought to my attention."
"we know, we read the note." Tracey said, running a hand over her chest where her scar is.
"Because of this; you three, and your families, will be given round the clock protection." Luz said.
"Luz, don't you think that's a little much?" Emily said.
"Emelina, the Potion and Plant Coven leaders are missing, possibly dead. You are the Oracle Coven leader, I've lost enough Coven leaders. On top of that, this man ordered the Blights to experiment on you. Anyone related to you three could be in danger. So no, I don't think it's a little much."
They had to say, they've never seen Luz this scared and determined. They knew it would be best if they didn't argue. Amity came in and whispered in Luz's ear.
"I think I found something."
