BLIND SPOT
It couldn't be true!
It was not possible!
Goren was completely confused.
How come his former mentor Gage had Eames's phone in his possession!
He remembered the text he got from Sebastian on Eames's cell phone, which had completely driven him mad that the patient had touched Alex's hair.
And now there was this!
It was Gage who had the cell phone in his possession, so it was he who had dared to kidnap Eames, pretending to be Sebastian.
He walked over to Gage, shaking him like a plum tree and yelling at him!
But Gage insisted that it was not him and that he had been set up.
But nothing helped, as soon as he let go, he comes back to him, shaking him again.
God damn me or I'm gonna kill him!
Goren was only thinking about one thing, where was Eames and was she still alive?
And what was he going to say to their sons?
He could never tell her that his mother was dead, or that of the kidnapping!
What could he do?
He was lost, he no longer knew!
Goren hadn't slept since Alex disappeared.
Captain Ross had told him to go home and get a few hours of sleep, but it was just impossible.
On the sheets there was the smell of Eames, the pillow of Eames. The bed was empty without her.
He resigned himself to picking up his phone and calling Annie Eames!
He had to tell her, that they couldn't take Jamie!
- It's Goren! He paused, considering what to say, trying to put on a normal voice. We can't take Jamies, because of an investigation! He couldn't say what was going on, neither for his son, nor for his sister-in-law! He couldn't hurt them! Can I talk to Jamie?
- Jamie, it's dad!
Jamie ran over to hear it was his father, took the phone from his aunt's hand and placed it against her ear.
- Dad ! He was so happy, that Goren felt his heart sink. See you on Friday as planned? There was a blank. Dad ? Then his father recovered telling him that he couldn't, that it was for work. Jamie knew his parents' work was very busy, Aunty Annie had explained to him. Can I talk to mom?
Goren didn't know what to say to his son. But he had to make up his mind to tell her that she wasn't there, and that she would call him back tomorrow.
But on the other end of the phone, he heard Jamie crying and wanting to talk to his mother. Her heart had broken.
His little boy was unhappy and there was nothing he could do.
At the sight of the little one asking for his mother and crying, Annie comes to take the receiver from the child's hands.
- Did something happen with Alexandra?
She had understood that something had happened when Goren had told her that they could not come and get the little one, she had understood by the sound of his voice that something was wrong and especially in general it was Alex calling. And the fact that Jamie wanted to talk to his mother and her mother wasn't taking him, made it clear that something had happened to Alexandra.
Goren didn't know how to explain it, but he knew that if Alexandra's sister insisted he was going to tell her everything. And so he tried to find the words to tell her what was really going on.
- Alex was kidnapped!
At Annie's cry, Goren understood that he had just hurt her, like he had hurt her son.
This is not what he wanted.
- What's going on auntie?
He heard the little one questioning his aunt and her aunt telling him that it was nothing serious.
- Annie? He waited for her to recover. Promise you won't tell Jamie until I find her! He waited for her answer, and naturally she agreed. Take care of Jamie and watch out for yourself!
He had just hung up, threw down his phone, sat down and put his head in his hands, tears in his eyes.
- What do I have to do ?
Alex was lying on the hospital bed, by his side was Goren.
He hadn't left Alex's bedside since she was found.
He thought he was losing her and he couldn't leave her for fear it was just a dream!
And to think that she had been brave, telling him what she had been through.
And she didn't blame him, so she should have.
Especially when he found out who had kidnapped Alexandra.
Why did Gage's daughter do this?
Especially at Eames!
If she had wanted him injured, she had succeeded!
He took Alex's hand, kissing her.
She gave him a shy smile.
- Mum !
Bobby jumped at the sound of Jamie's voice.
He turned, seeing the little boy rushing to his mother's bedside, who was smiling at him and opening her arms to him. Jamie threw himself into it, crying and hugging herself.
Alex kissed his son's ebony curls.
- Please stop crying, Jamie! She lifted her tearful son's face, wiping the tears away with her fingers.
Alex had tears in his eyes.
His heart sank at the sight of his little one crying.
And to think that she almost never saw him again!
Annie Eames, walked over to Goren, resting her hand on his shoulder.
He didn't dare look at her.
As she thought, he felt responsible for what had happened to Alex.
His sister had told him he was in bad spirits.
Goren inwardly thanked Annie for support.
This simple gesture put balm in his heart.
He only had God for Alex and his son.
How could he have lived without her?
He almost lost that sight of her and their sons!
This vision he loved to watch.
It was just too hard!
It was one of the reasons he preferred to hide their relationship.
To avoid other situations like this!
Because if it was found out that he had a son, or that he had a wife, nothing would stop people from attacking them, and hugging him helplessly!
He loved them too much to make them suffer such things!
He thought about what Gage's daughter had done to Alex!
She knew Alex was her partner, but didn't know more about her.
Fortunately, because who knows what would have happened!
As if Alex understood his thoughts, she put her hand on his, smiling at him.
God he loved this woman!
